4  Economy / Trading Discussion / How to know the short term trend to trade on? on: April 27, 2018, 05:29:21 AM
check this chart
https://www.tradingview.com/x/WD4Gu5iR/

as u can see xrp was on a rally and then start to go down

my problem with trading is that i tend to trade against the trend

as u can see the overall trend is bullish as the daily chart is still in an uptrend
but it look like it can go lower from here

my question is, if i want to be a daytrader, wich trend should i go for?

i like to trade in the 4hr, i dont use indicator since they use past price as their calculation, i trade pure price action

in that chart for example i would go long if u ask me, since its been bullish for the past 20 days, i would wait for it to hit a support then wait for a good entry, its what i have been doing latetly without luck, dont get me wrong im profitable since my risk management allow me to lose like 3 or 4 trades and make it up in just one trade, but almost  all time i have to hit 3 or 4 lose before getting it right
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to track down stolen bitcoins (localbitcoins) ? on: March 24, 2018, 03:48:11 PM
hello
i bought a repair part i needed in internet, and the user had alot of good feedbacks so i went ahead and purchased it from him
the thing is he scammed me, he made me send the bitcoin to a localbitcoin wallet, my question is, is there a way to track him down? he live in my city, so maybe getting his address and phone number from localbitcoins could be helpfull, i already contected localbitcoins support but they told me that the police should be the one contacting them, but i went to the police they contected them and they got the same response from them an auto generated email

I don't know were you live but this is one example of incompetent police or they are just trying to get rid of you (even worse), as things aren't even supposed to work like that.

If you file a complain based on what you have told us here first they will need to research if your complain is indeed true, and they will first retrace your steps and how you got to know and how you were in contact with this guy and this is another way of finding him.
Second, police won't request information from a party outside their jurisdiction without a mandate from the prosecutor.
Them emailing blindly localbitcoins support is not going to help and it's just not the legal way to do it.

So once you got to the police and filled a complain there is nothing left for you to do.
Wait for their investigation.

But once thing is making me curios about this whole deal.....how do you know he lives in your city?

because this guy who scammed me, has over 400 sells in the website and more than 3 years selling there.. he contacted me from a number (wich is registered in the website aswell).. and a friend of mine looked up the city where he opened the cellphone account.. after 3 years and 400sells he decided to start scamming.. but he most be stupid because i know i have his legit phone number.. but the police here is so corrupt u have to pay them so much money for them to work.. so i have to investigate for my self and then give them the information so it become cheaper

12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: any tutorial out there to try to fix hashboards myself? on: May 11, 2017, 12:22:57 AM
eep
The only possible thing to try would be to get a couple cans of electrical contact cleaner or circuit board cleaner and hose them down to *maybe* dislodge crud. Problem is, if the boards are very old and most likely covered in fine dust then flooding them COULD MAKE THINGS WORSE if they are not pristine when done. You could very well force dirt into places it wasn't before.

And no, no how-to's beyond 'Does the red LED power lights on the board turn on?' and perhaps swapping the data cables around just to make sure it is the board(s).

BitmainWarranty in CO pretty much prefers folks don't try to fix boards themselves. I can imagine what some look like after folks ham-handedly try...

Speaking of which, had a s9 batch-13 board fail yesterday so time to send it to them.
u know how much it will cost me to repair all my hashing board i think i have 4 faulty boards..
13  Bitcoin / Hardware / any tutorial out there to try to fix hashboards myself? on: May 10, 2017, 09:59:30 PM

14  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Help]S9 hashing power droping to 0ths or 8 ths on: May 04, 2017, 02:01:49 AM
hello one of my antminers S9 (13ths) is droping its hashing power to 0 sometimes to 8.. if i unplug and plug it back in it start to work without problem making me thinking its a software related

all hashing boards show 8 sets of 00000000 (none of them have Xs)

i updated it with the lastest firmware "Antminer-S9-all-201704280713-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar"

but still having problems.. what else can i do ?

Note: one of the hashing board is showing 2k+ HW errors

note2: whenever i have to replug the antminer it start from like 30ths and then slowly go back to 13 ths

note3: i noticed that when the antminer start to get problems.. my air conditioner turn off.. it may be a electricity problem.. but i disconnected one of my others S9 and plug the one with problem in its place.. still have the problem.. its like this one S9 is draining alot more power and making my other electric machines to have problem aswell

one question
im new to margin trading.. im triying the bot in demo mode.. while setting up the parameters.. i see one red zone and 2 blue, what i understand is the red zone is the NO buy zone, but the bot sometimes buy or sell in these zone, is there a better explained guide for this bot?

edit: sorry if im been too anoying by asking alot

It's not static. The bot will move with the candlesticks. The trading zone will shrink with less movement and expand with more movement based on the parameters you set up.
and can u explain me what max. order age does? because i leave the bot overnight and it never replace the order it made 8 hours ago missing profits

The max order age means the length of time the bot will leave the order it has placed alone before replacing it taking into account the current statistics.

The default is 6 mins, but you can set whatever time you like.

I'd have to see your logs and a screenshot to give you an answer. Could it be that your laptop went to sleep or there was a network out during the night?

Best wishes,
Jonathan

if i set it to 0.1 it will mean 6 min right? since 1hr is 60min

Hello is me again
I was using it trading platform but not having the priceline permanently on is really a turn down for me... Could you please consider adding this ? I would love to keep using it.. maybe as a turn on and off addon won't hurt anyone thank you

The price line is, by default, permanently on if you are in the manual trading tab.

Not sure what you mean?

And you can already optionally turn it off Smiley

hello, all i see is a manual orden line..
i mean a line that move with the price, its already in the software? because i dont see it (im in manual mode)

No, a moving line is not available.

As I said before you can click the entries in the order book to adapt the price line.

its posible to add this in future updates?
