1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People keep asking me to borrow money, some of them for betting on: May 27, 2024, 08:05:31 PM

When you lend money to someone and the word is out, everybody thinks you have some money to spare. And especially if they learn you have Bitcoin I guess it's not surprising anymore to see friends asking for loans.

This is not a good practice to do since it can make you a bad guy in the end when you refuse them. A friend can turn into an enemy after that. Even to a relative, it's better to just give a little and not expect a return for the relationship will just turn sour.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Taylor vs Catterall - May 26 on: May 27, 2024, 07:05:04 PM
Arum forces himself to go up like he just got out of the nursing home just to express his disgust with the scorecard.  He is 90+ and he still playing around big fights lol The old man just won't die like Don King. Taylor is past his prime he should accept that. He was once undisputed but it's now over.

Catterall won't feel like he needs to fight Taylor but they may still give Taylor another shot if Arum says so. But Catterall should be calling out Matias and not Teo.
3  Economy / Gambling / Re: Earn Bitcoin With HunnyPlay's New Referral Program! $5k Bonus + upto 18% cut. on: May 27, 2024, 05:14:44 PM
You have been here since 2022 and also with your own tokens but seems like never focused on serious promotions like signature campaign and other contests. I mean these high bonus referral things may not hep you to achieve what you exactly want. From these, I like to suggest you to hire a manager here in this forum for driving your business into a new high.
That's right and if OP really wants to do it then OP should just posted a thread and put the link of the other threads instead of posting on different boards for this kind of things. For hiring managers, there are managers here who can do a professional job like icopress, brainboss, Hhampuz and more.

$5K referral program would sound good to the internet marketers probably the SEO guys would make the casino a household name but I think he is marketing the program to the wrong crowd. Posting it on different sections of this forum is quite spam.

He didn't learn much after staying for a long time. He is probably not reading most of the replies but if what he is doing works for Hunny, he might just get a whole new contract for marketing an underdog crypto casino.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: May 27, 2024, 04:19:03 PM
I have seen some training footage from Mike Tyson, and to be fair unless he has some serious medical conditions that makes this a hard fight, his punches looked like he was still 25 years old, and that shocked me.

Normally I expected him to not have any punches at all, I did not expected him to have any punches at all, I assumed that he would have been long gone and not have anything at all, but by the looks of it he didn't had that trouble and he is still punches like he is a young man. I am not saying he will surely win, but I highly doubt that he would lose if it was a street fight. Why not a boxing match? Because they may just do an exhibition moving around stuff and not really fight, they are both doing it just for the money that's it.
Mike Tyson is the beast, a ruthless fighter. He was bullied at school (Conor McGregor was bullied too) and that's what motivated him to became a ruthless fighter. His backstory is bad but what we got is a man that is still one of the best fighter at the age of 57. Just like you, I didn't expect to see him punching like this but I was watching Joe Rogan's podcast where he showed some of Mike Tyson's recent videos and mate, he is really out of this world, a 57 years old man fights like hell.

But age is still a big difference here in terms of stamina, not saying that Mike is not going to train in this arena, but as we tend to get older our body's lung capacity deteriorate as well and with Mike's wear and tear, his gas tank is questionable.
You are right, there is a huge age gap between them. I find it a little bit insulting that this fight is gonna happen but I also think that Mike agreed to it because he wants money and doesn't care much. By the way, their conference was very weird. Jake Paul said he wanted to kiss Mike's juicy lips and then what Mike said was really a catastrophe.

I don't know his story but he doesn't look like the guy to be bullied. But it must be the motivation to become a good fighter just in case he gets bullied again. The result of getting bullied at school always makes the kid stronger in any field. What he is known after he got jailed and got out clean was that he is a reformed man and has learned a lot. That's why Mike is often quoted with his sensible wisdom.

In the press conference they have, Mike sounds very calm and can actually make people laugh. But in the ring, he is still able to fight. But I'm doubting his age really. No matter how much they portray him to be ruthless still. At 57, its not gonna be great.

Just last night, he suffered medical emergency after boarding a plane. Check the news.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Hyperinflation - Will it lead Countries to Adopt Bitcoin? on: May 26, 2024, 08:13:00 PM
As far as I am concerned many countries economy is getting worse due to inflation they are looking for alternative ways to improve the economy of the country so maybe adoption can reduce the pressure on the economy of each country.
And they don't see adopting Bitcoin as one of the big impact contributor to their economy and that's why, if it's about adoption. It's either they don't care and let their citizens adopt it without having legal implications. Many seem to be very welcoming to this kind of adoption and only few countries aren't willing to adopt and accept Bitcoin as a store of value and a new type of currency. Otherwise, the rest are just neutral.

But the government will not accept these currencies so easily because they are outside the government's control and fiat currency may become worthless. The government will usually solve the problem within its powers.
They have no control on it and that's why the battle against centralization and decentralization have begun when Bitcoin was made by Satoshi. But I don't think that even if they adopt BTC, there's no way that their fiat will become worthless.

When they already have a banknote that says 10 Trillion Pesos, that's the time they will realize their fiat is worthless. If it happened in Germany or Zimbabwe, it's not going to be surprising if it also happens to any country today that keeps printing because they have no Plan B.

There has to be a plan B, for the government's fallback. You know when they saw the US government collecting tax from crypto and seizing BTC, it should be understood by now that the government saw BTC to be valuable to which other country should also see it this way.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 18th MAY 2024 re-scheduled on: May 26, 2024, 04:13:57 PM
If this is a problem, then solving this problem (collecting all the belts) seems more valuable.
The financial aspect of any boxing bout as alluring as it could be probably will not be bigger than the desire of either Fury or Usyk to cement their place in history. To have had the unification fight was momentous (the first time it happened since Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield in 1999) and to have a rematch with all the belts on the line again would be the least fans should expect.

Things are getting pretty confusing...
At the moment yes things are confusing. Maybe things will clear when the next major news updates are released by the Fury, Usyk and the IBF.

Seem just technicalities will save Usyk's IBF belt and only an interim fight will happen. This is a good thing for him but what about after June 2?  Can't believe this is just a coincidence.  No one will question what the British Boxing Board of Control has to do over Usyk. This has to be boxing politics in action.

Dubois vs Hrgovic should be an interim fight otherwise there will be no reason for Usyk-Fury 2 right?  This means Usyk will be stripped of the IBF belt after the suspension date and this rematch will be for the IBF belt this Oct, right? Gotta give what the Saudis want.

Trump while talking about self-custody support to his supporters, this is going to be an election that is mostly into convincing the public about financial freedom.

Blackrock is one of the biggest asset management companies. Of course, the company has influence, they can put those politicians inside their pockets and make laws in their benefit.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: May 25, 2024, 06:57:01 PM

Too risky both both. Don't wanna see Dustin too aggressive in this fight by brawl else Islam is going to wrestle him. I watched that video as well. They are both well rounded but I don't think Dustin's defense on the ground is enough to stop Islam. It could happen quickly and before we knew it Dustin would be on the ground defending himself.

Dustin will likely win if they both stand so keeping the distance while keeping Islam guessing where his striking may come from will be his piece.

Daniel Dubois vs Filip Hrgovic must be one of the most exciting part of the fight card. You just can't pick your dog and then expect the win. Better to leave this out of your parlay. I could lean on Filip but Dubois could potentially pull it off. More exciting than the main event.

The fight will not go to distance which I think the gas isn't going to be an issue to Zhang. This is the kind of fight that ends with just one-two combination.

Let's say Inoue fights anyone on the list using the UFC gloves, those guys will stumble to stand up with just a jab from Inoue. As long as he can defend himself from a takedown, it will be hellish for these guys. They could potentially win by submission but not if they stand head-to-head. To believe themselves to win in standing, they have the slightest chance.

Its like Kamaru Usman picking Jan Blachowicz https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1793649032595706220
And then Jan replied to him If you still feel the same about it @USMAN84kg, let’s go. I will be ready.

I think Kamaru is really up to it since he seems to have no fight at all, he is going LHW. But he has the slight chance too.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 24, 2024, 06:06:23 PM
^  Yeah cos most of them like fighting cans instead of the best guys.  In the UFC, Bellator, PFL, ONE, etc, etc that can't happen as they have the match makers doing it for them. Not really sure how the match making works in boxing tho.  But when I used to watch it, all I watch is the main event as most of the under cards suck.  And what I don't like about boxing is they put too much of a premium in unblemished records.  I mean who cares if the fighter is undefeated...  In MMA, that only means that the fighter hasn't really been tested yet.

Floyd cares so much about undefeated. Same with Jones. Legacy I suppose and when a fighter retires undefeated, they have the opportunity to promote products while they can brag about the undefeated record. Tyson Fury used to brag about it.  Being undefeated means marketable.

MMA is very different though. You can only be the best when you have all the skills from boxing, jujitsu, wrestling, and all sorts which is why if the match team is going to test a striker against someone who has wrestling skills chances are that the striker will be at the disadvantage unless he learns fast with his team. boxing is just boxing. but some of them are just decorating themselves with KOs even the fights in their amateur days like 8 rounder fights.

Maybe but I could say that staying undefeated in the UFC is waaay harder than staying undefeated in boxing.  There's just a lot more going on in MMA as fighters have to study and practice multiple disciplines.  Boxing on the other handis just boxing.  Lol.   And I know the next question would be then why do MMA fighters lose when they fight boxers in boxing?  Ok if they're so good at fighting then why don't the top boxers fight in MMA?  A top 15 UFC fighter would win vs a top boxer 7 times out of 10 in MMA imho.  And that's being generous.

Name a great boxer right now and I'll name an MMA fighter outside the top 5 who I think could win.

Inoue vs striker.

But I don't think a boxer will put himself in a situation where rules are going to be unfavorable to him. Rodtang hardly earn points in the first round with DJdespite the modified rules is favorable to him.

Rules matter. Even in a boxer vs boxer fight, the rules can be utilized to put a boxer out of action. Ryan Garcia did this to Devin Haney as he turned his body sideways. If Ryan was fighting in UFC, his opponent would jump right on his back for a rare naked choke.

12  Other / Off-topic / Re: Floyd Mayweather detained in Dubai due to gambling debts? on: May 24, 2024, 04:10:49 PM
Just to have a simple discussion, the Saudi government allow a few people to gamble and invite Floyd? Just one of the things we don't know, peasants could get hanged in public if they gambled and were caught.
That is because the law for the rich and the poor or normal citizen is totally different. We do get this a lot from different countries even if Saudi is strict for their laws and religious matters.

There can always be an exception about it.

Anyway, has this already been said to be real? because Floyd from his alias as Money definitely can pay anything he wants to.

Floyd is indeed rich. $500M is probably nothing for him but he is in another country. Those oil kingpins are richer than him. It's different when you're in another country, crazy why there is no media coverage about this issue about him. I can think of the worse that happened already like he was being raped by a bearded guy over there while the camera is focused on his dick and his face. And then demand he pay double or else release the video.

Something is happening and he isn't found elsewhere and no video appearance despite the biggest fight Usyk vs Fury happened in there.

14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concerns grow over online gambling among teens on: May 23, 2024, 05:44:11 PM
Health class curricula across the nation cover the typical risks for teens such as smoking, drinking, vaping, etc yet gambling education is nowhere to be found in our schools. "
Did that really change anything? Do you think that teens don't smoke, drink or vape despite all the negative side effects that they are lectured about? They do and that's because if you do something like that, you are considered as one of the coolest person anywhere you go and everyone wants to hang out with you. Actors, singers, some athletes and many influencers promote that culture.

And would you agree with him in implementing gambling prevention education in schools?
That does nothing but if parents take care of their children and become their friends and supporters, teach them and explain what's good and bad and how it will end up if they follow that path, then we will definitely have a very positive outcome out of this. Schools aren't gonna happen in this thing, parents have responsibilities too and there are things that you have to learn in your family and that's ethics, culture, manners and respect.

You just said the teens will do it because they think they'd be cool to their friends. Who do you think they listen the most while they are still teens, their parents or their friends or the school?

Because in some cases teens who do all of those vices change after they get older, some friends get married and work at their father's business, some become successful working in the city. They mature eventually and stop the nonsense. Those who got deeper got worse though. I must depend and who they listen.

I'm surprised I haven't heard something about this if it is true.  You'd think it would be big news that's plastered all over the internet.  Holding someone hostage, especially a celebrity would seemingly be gossip worthy.  However, it wouldn't surprise me if this were actually true.  Floyd Mayweather may be insanely rich and flaunts it like nobody else, but he's also been accused of not paying his debts plenty of times.  I think most recently with Logan Paul, where Logan claims he still hasn't been paid everything that Floyd owes him and it's been years...

There is no news actually about Floyd anymore. I tried looking up more information about this but nothing so far.
Rick Glaser however confirmed this information that Floyd is in Dubia still detained. Here is one of his tweets about it backed by an article about it. https://x.com/RealRickGlaser1/status/1784876149568417911
https://www.marca.com/en/boxing/2024/05/18/6648a465ca4741a8698b45e8.html

Not sure why there is not much talk in the media but I think there is politics behind this.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Teofimo Lopez vs Steve Claggett WBO Super Lightweight Title - June 29 on: May 22, 2024, 04:22:23 PM

Teo already fought some big names, he doesn't really need this tune-up anymore since he can fight.  They love Teo so much, they just want him more wins maybe they are grooming for Matias?

Steve is not on his level but Steve will be more than happy to get a shot at Teo and if this fight is going to result in an upset, a lot will really be laughing at Teo. That's for sure. I look up Steve on youtube, he can actually KO opponents and knows how to entertain the crowd.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concerns grow over online gambling among teens on: May 22, 2024, 04:04:14 PM
The root of the problem is not schools. Do children spend all their time at school? No, and do they learn all these things from the school? No, they don't. So, I don't see how gambling prevention education can help lessen teen gambling when they have all the time and space to do their gambling activities after school.

The root of the problem is the upbringing, and also the advent of online gambling, of course. The advertisements shown everywhere do play a role in this but they aren't the basic reason for teens to get into gambling. If their parents and elders try, they can keep them away from such things.

Everything starts from home, if children are taught what they should be taught, they will only follow those things. The guy who wrote that article is young as well, why is he not into gambling but finds it disturbing or to be a problem for teens to gamble? It's all about awareness and it starts from the upbringing.
More precisely, education only plays a relatively small role most of the time, children may study in the morning and afternoon but they still have a lot of leisure time to communicate with the media and society, and honestly, this era is the golden age of advertising, it's hard to keep a safe distance between teenagers and gambling. What the family and society need to receive is the formation of consciousness and becoming a mirror of reflection, fully reflects a good world as well as still retains the fun of gambling, despite the increase in gambling among teenagers, it is still in the safe zone to deal with easily

And this is why there is a suggestion about monitoring who could download the apps. These AI adverts are just smart to target individuals who are introduced to gambling. Kids who are fans of sports are encouraged to participate in gambling because of these adverts and the apps are enabling them.

Regulating these adverts however will require digital IDs which are also not approved by anyone. I myself doesn't want digital IDs. Which I think there really is the need for parents to keep educating their kids if possible, checking which apps should be on thier phones.

There is an interesting situation with Pablo Costa again. In less than two weeks he is fighting Strickland, but several days ago Strickland posted in Twitter, that Costa did not sign the contract (again?). Costa replies with this: https://x.com/BorrachinhaMMA/status/1790946222595043721. Either Costa is trolling, or once again trying to blackmail UFC to get more money. I will remind, that in last 4 fights  UFC had troubles with Costa.
However, I remove all the crap on Costa as he is our guy Cheesy

Dana should also put pressure on signing contracts, if they don't sign in 24 hours the ship will sail, and it goes to someone else and ranks down to 10. Though Sean is mentally ill, Sean just throwing jabs and all defense may still work against Costa. I can only see Sean catching the kick of Costa and then right straight.

Belal vs Leon will likely be just jabs fight. Belal was outclassed in their first fight and cried after an eye poke.  He has been tweeting a lot like he has been an exciting KO artist actually when he hasn't done much, what did Strickland do to him, they've been beefing on Twitter.

I wouldn't mind seeing Belal be the champ for a while to pay respect to his "Remember the Name" alias. And that we could also see reshuffling in this division, maybe they'd give Rakhmonov someone from the top to fight with.

Maybe, he is hallucinating when he said he is a KO artist or just exaggerating because that's what he wants to be remembered.  Grin Grin I don't think he can live up to his nickname though he may be more of the opposite here - Forget the Name..lol Looking at his percentage of KO wins vs his total wins, it is not that much. He had more wins via decision. So don't know why he is claiming to be a KO artist. Well, athletes can always sell themselves and see if their fans or opponents will take the bait. The more controversy they can create, the better. As they can pull more fans to watch their fight. That's an old tactic of most athletes, they try to sell themselves by exaggerating things or creating some noise to talk about.

Nope. He didn't really claim to be a KO artist, he just acts like he is one exciting finisher, the UFC fans know he isn't one. I guess Leon won't do some trash-talk so he turned to Strickland.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Os boxing the worst sport to get on? on: May 21, 2024, 11:31:30 AM
Right now they have found a way to bring the fights in Saudi Arabia because the oil kingpins can pay millions just so they see gigantic people rumbling in the ring. The boxing organizations seem to be united on this.
I noticed this too that recently, most of the boxing matches have been happening in Saudi Arabia.

Quote from: Marykeller link=topic=5497141.msg64102641#msg64102641 date=171622z2482
Boxing is the least I can think of, for corrupt practices to operate on because of how real it can be for us the viewers to see how the boxers end up having bruises and injuries before and after the end of each fight round. So, most fights are just stage fights for people to lose money in them. That's very interesting to note that not all UFC fights are not as real as people thought it to be.
Some cases of corruption are not that the match is fixed but that the officials have been bought over, maybe two of the ringside officials out of the three, and one of the fighters will not know. The fight goes on as normal and as usual but the officials score the fight in favor of their candidates.

There was a lot of complain after Tyson Fury still won the fight against Francis Ngannou, it raised a lot of question and aroused suspicion of corruption because to almost everyone who saw the fight, Francis looked like the winner.

In the Fury against Usyk fight, one of the judges still scored Fury the winner, even when the winner of the fight was obvious. It is suspicious.

To make a fight happen, there is the need to pay for the promotion and the fee to these boxers. Often, the pay goes by the millions because organizations are taking a percentage of the money.  The Saudis can spend millions for the event to be held in their country and on the global scene, you can observe they are running the show. You can already tell, they are the richest in the world.

Not sure why Fury is favored every time but I'm guessing the people behind it want him to win and most probably the rich are rooting for him. This time he lost and basically, the promotions robbed the Saudis.  Grin

20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Gambling vs Sport Betting, Lets Discuss on: May 21, 2024, 11:12:20 AM

Betting is still Gambling if this is what you imply. There are cases where some people still argue that sports betting is just like rooting for their favorite team but obviously when there is money involved and you agree to a contract that you win or lose money in a bet means it's gambling.

The house or the bookmaker is just as the same so there isn't really much to tell rather than what the gambler's preference whether he wants to play casino games or sports betting, its up to him.
