1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: May 24, 2017, 10:45:56 PM
I live in Peru, developing country, so you know that is hardest to explain here about Bitcoin system.

When I began interesting on this (2 yeas ago) the people told me that the only thing knew about bitcoin was the popularity of blackmarket in U.S.

Finally I found a lot of things that Bitcoin offers as technology, then I explained many friends how this works actually, but they don't understand because they still think that this technology is a bullshit in Peru and try to avoid the financial system like laundry money for narcos (actually for little side is right), but blockchain, fuck, is amazing....

Anyway, I found a lot of people that hate bitcoin because of news. When these publish something about bitcoin is only about "black market or dark side"...

Yea... there are few people interested in Bitcoin here, but isn't popular for the rest of population, I think is because there are a lot news that talk about bitcoin as "only focused on blackmarket". Anyway, I can say somefriends for a meetup here to talk about bitcoin with you, could be interested.

Bitcoin is meant to be a currency, so it would be hard to make a thesis about bitcoin in computer science.
Maybe your title should be "Bitcoin: A currency based on Mathematics" or "Bitcoin: Cryptography Money" and talks few things such as blockchain, mining, nodes, decentralized, open source or pseudonymous.

Or, you can make a thesis about bitcoin in Economic degree Roll Eyes

In Economic is really easy, but I am taking a degree in computer science. lol.

The idea of bitcoin based on Mathematics is great, but it exits. The idea is something new to do with Bitcoin as Computer Science. Maybe as miners the're ideas. But my juries are retarded to understand the Bitcoin Structure in minutes.

If I ask you: What do you want to read now about Bitcoin? what is missing in Bitcoin community? Tell me the answer.

Do you even understand how bitcoin works in-depth? How does bitcoin as a p2p currency system be secure yet anonymous? Merkle roots, blockchain block sizes, information in block header, distributed ledgers? If you really understand all these, it wouldn't be difficult at all to come up with a thesis topic. It seems more like you just want to have a topic related to cryptos to seem like a knowledgeable hipster to your mates and professors. Do you want to hire someone to write your thesis too?

Yes, I read paper of Satoshi Nakamoto and other researchs from IEEE or articles in Coindesk or Bloomberg. The're no problem about Bitcoin structure and other criptocurrencys in the market.

Actually I need a name can be very usefull for the community since the perspective of Computer Science, something new can be different that other presentation.   If you can help with one I will be grateful with you.

Hello comunity, I am new here, maybe won't get your attention for that reason, but  if you do, will be very important for me because I was searching a lot information about Bitcoin.  I was the reason I decided to get a topic for my thesis about all information I collected. First they were: "Bitcoin: Future scenaries", "Bitcoin: Benefit  as Commoditie or Currency?". Both were rejected because were not Science Computer tittle, but Economics. They are right about it, but they are absoluty idiots about telling me  that the topic of Bitcoin  does not help because I live in Peru and Bitcoin does not have any sense.

For this reason I need your help to find a topic can be very usefull focused in Computer Science for my thesis. Every ideas are welcome. Sorry if my English is bad
