Yea... there are few people interested in Bitcoin here, but isn't popular for the rest of population, I think is because there are a lot news that talk about bitcoin as "only focused on blackmarket". Anyway, I can say somefriends for a meetup here to talk about bitcoin with you, could be interested.

OK.  Let me know by Message here at the forum or my email (amerumix@gmail.com) re which days you might be free.  I have some flexibility, but we are here mainly caring for my wife's parents.  If you are close to Miraflores, that would be great.

We could meet anywhere near the Ovalo.  Better at a place with wifi.

If you are closer to Surco (esp. the U. Ricardo Palma on Benavides (nr. Caminos del Inca) that's good too.  That's where my in-laws live & work, and they have wifi.

Weekends might be good.  Send me a PM!  I do NOT have my cellphone here.

Por si acaso, hablo espanol.

To my knowledge there is no Meetup Group that meets in Peru.  My *guess* is that Peruvians are allowed to freely trade Peruvian Soles for US$ freely (in the big stores you can even pay with dollars).

We go to Peru once or twice a year, but are not in Peru now.  We have a family-owned company run there in Lima.

Drop me a PM or check my email addy at my profile.

To my knowledge (limited!), Bitcoin is not popular in Peru.  In Peru you can use US$ in many places (big grocery stores, etc.), anywhere they have computer-based cashiers.

Peru has many Venezuelans who have immigrated there because of V's problems.  Peru is poor, always has been, but it is more free and the economy is now better than Venezuela's.

Just for everyone's info, Peru is without doubt one of the most interesting countries in the world to visit.  There are amazing natural wonders found there.
