1  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Challenge of Bitcoin as the only source of income on: June 06, 2024, 11:16:58 AM
This is very simple at first you don't need to living a  luxurious life or a kind of life style that is too showy to people around you couples with always pressing your phone/laptop on public this gives them the impression that you are doing something illegal to gain money and for that suspicion comes in immediately.
If you must live that kind of life you should look for something else to get yourself backed up, most people don't always understand the language of Bitcoin or cryptocurrency instead they would think is fraud.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $20,000 to invest in any Altcoins of your choice? on: June 06, 2024, 08:35:57 AM
Can you please help with any Altcoins that coins that someone can invest on in this particular time.
The only coin I know you can invest without having any fear of totally losing your investment is to hold reputable coin such as bitcoin or BNB and ethereum possibly some established coin like matic or any L1 coins.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 05, 2024, 09:29:54 AM
I didn't see much action changing the market so quickly but since earlier this months there is a positive sign that shows bitcoin moving from 65k to 71k plus within ending of last month to this new month, naturally I have this feeling that bitcoin could face difficulty to climb above the previous ATH of 73k plus except it is not following past history since we all know that bitcoin always break out of new ATH at every new year after halving and that is towards middle of the next year.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you really want from gambling? on: June 05, 2024, 08:54:12 AM
It's very hard to say that someone doesn't have a direction of gambling, like a focus to why they are gambling. Naturally we knows that we gambling to catch fun or gambling to earn more money anything other than this is not in gamble.
Those are the two main purpose why we gambling, gambling to earn more money and gambling for fun whomever that is not gambling for fun is either gambling to earn money, and no one will be pleased to keep losing money while they gambles and when they keep gambling and incurred series of lost they won't be pleased to keep gambling but when winning is there then it boost them to continuously keep gambling.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does addicted gamblers only lose money all the time on: June 05, 2024, 06:29:16 AM
Another question is: Is it really necessary for an addicted person to always win? After all, everyone understands perfectly well that this is impossible. But those who need games will play regardless of the results, whether they win or not. The process of the game itself is more important for him; even if the player wins, he continues until he loses all the winning money.
To me this is where to know how responsible someone could be because to me I don't see any reason while someone could play untill he loses all their winning. Already as you said, it's good to play and win but after winning at least the person should have distanced the casino if that person wants to maintain a healthy gambling safety or being responsible gambler. Gambling is something that is opening and freely accessible by everyone but the ability for one to consciously have that rethink of knowing when to stop and how to play makes them a responsible person in gambling.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading belongs to everyone? on: June 04, 2024, 10:27:00 PM
Trading is not for everyone.  Again it is for everyone. It depends on different people. Trading theory depends on a person's willingness to learn and know. Also depends on patience.  If someone's patience is low then trading is not for that person. If someone's patience is very strong then that person can achieve success in trading. But trading is not for beginners. Newbies can do holding. Trading is very difficult.  It is better not to come to trading because greed can destroy everything.
You are correct and I will also want to add this as well do you know without people Venturing into trading they won't learn neither would they developed so faster to understand how to manage their trading skills, what I am trying to say In nutshell is that nobody turns to a professional trader without them starting from small and thus this comes by starting little and also educates themselves reading some necessary materials that will enhanced their skills to a successful trading.
7  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Trade your BTC/NGN, USDT/NGN on: June 04, 2024, 10:00:42 PM
OP nice initiative but in order for there not to be porosity in the system, would have suggested that if anyone wishes to do an exchange service they can open their own thread about it just like cryptoprenuerBrainboss is doing here. So it will be good if individuals bear their own risks and possibly if anyone should start an exchange service they should be a recognized reputable member just like CryptopreneurBrainboss IMO
You are right but only him can't handle such voluminous trade or request from people, like I understood from op this is a general service unlike mega trading section were individual comes together to get a particular results. Let say you needs 100k worth of BTC and another have btc worth 100k at this point the two parties can easily exchange and sells to each others provided they are higher ranks without any red tags, and from what op said if you are losing trust then you could get any reputable member pm to serve as escrow including herself you can pm here. I think by the time we have utilized this service it will really help us out without the need to be afraid of the government shutdown most of the p2p service providers.
The whole thing is very simple, is just a matter of understanding and to bring major people into this service such as our mod, Charles-Tim, Mpamaegbu, Upgrade00, Adbitco  and CryptopreneurBrainboss.
8  Other / Meta / Re: What's the main purpose of the Off-topics board? on: June 04, 2024, 09:44:04 PM
Everyone here must not be a signature participants and there are people who still visit that section to see what is happening in that section of the forum, there must be needs for offtopic at least to move some post that doesn't have classification towards their content or that are seen to be baseless.

I believe this board has been here even before you signed up from this forum and if admin or mods noticed it wasn't good they could have removed it for long now but instead it's still there and doing it's function. I know it's a very rough section were most people don't like visit except for the newbies or some other who just noticed their post has been moved from where it was created to another section.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How does this Bridge make a profit exactly? on: June 04, 2024, 04:07:25 PM
Bridging is just about switching from one network to another and it's not that tough provided that the both network are paired to switched in between. Like sometimes I tried switching from BSC to bep2 chain although it wasn't that stressful but you would be charged from originator to the Creator, that is to say I was charged from BSC and if you want to convert 1 BNB (bsc) to 1 BNB (bep2) without additional gas fee you wouldn't be able to have that same value again except you have 1.1 BNB (bsc) then you will be able to back same 1 BNB (bep2).

12  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Cryptocurrency a renew hope for Nigeria youth on: June 02, 2024, 07:07:33 PM
At first I will start to say that your pull doesn't corelate with the option given and to my views I don't see any quality for this topic to have a pull.

Boils down to the body of content; to me it's a natural thing that usually happens because I don't see that government hate bitcoin but their problem is people are operating bitcoin independently without them having any control to how those transaction are moved, let's take for instance Binance case and the two young men that was detained.

They aren't working only on these people but for Binance to indirectly operation in country without paying tax to government is very bad, I believe no nation or an entity that would go US to operate without paying tax and immediately the business is set up then they starts paying.

So to me I don't see it as people who are against cryptocurrency rather it was US that opened the eyes of Nigerian government to start acting against all these exchanges, untill they all settled the government by paying tax before operation they would always wants to shutdown lot of these platforms that offers p2p.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you think it's best to consistently use the same exchange? on: June 02, 2024, 05:42:08 PM
To me I don't really consider all this listed above the most important thing to do is to monitor and build your trust from that particular exchange even as we know that using one particular exchange is risky but provided they are trusted and have all the trading pair you required then no need jumping from exchange to exchange most at times we can have difficulty with passing kyc and other important things that could be needed by the exchange.
You are right.

When I saw IRS and tax returns in the OP, I was like this isn't relatable. In my country, we don't do tax returns on crypto not when the government is anti crypto.

The reason why I keep using the same exchange or why I will.is because in addition to having the trading pair that I require, the have a P2P exchange market place that gives a fair value of exchange to my fait whenever I want to trade better than the others out there.
Right..
Except p2p  is not listed there to trade to fiat otherwise if the particular exchange I have been using for long provides p2p then there is no need, like what just happened between Binance and Nigeria Government, if all cases are being solved and they please go operate in Nigeria via providing p2p it their citizens then fine, lot of people don't mind coming back to use binance exchange after they might have complied with the laws.

15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fixed match or not? on: June 02, 2024, 04:11:33 PM
Pretty much a fixed match. Otherwise, scoring all these 43 goals is impossible. Man it's 1 goal every 2 minute almost lol.
Maybe they scores in every minute because I can't imagine where such thing is possible to occur or do we say the entire team was bribe to play against the other? This is impossible.

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS BITCOIN NOW IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION FROM ITS INITIAL GOAL? on: May 30, 2024, 12:05:47 PM
Nothing seems to change rather its users are the one who are gradually discovering other things about bitcoin such as investment purpose which includes buy and holding, trading. I believe we all know that it is created as an alternative of payment methods to foster the payment system where there seems to be barrier in cash payment bitcoin would scale through without having to visit bank or any other third party to intrude. You can make payment in billions or trillions using bitcoin without any authority having to question your source of funds and reason for transactions, bitcoin serves as the easiest way for payment gateway which is used for all forms of payment.

20  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin taxation on: May 30, 2024, 09:11:54 AM
Aren't you gonna pay some fee for making transaction?
As you may know bitcoin is designed in a way that you will pay some percentage of it as the miner's fee but not basically subjected to the government or to our country laws that one must pay some fees, it may be enacted but yet to know how legitimately is that information rather some form of restrictions where placed to us not to directly associates our commercial bank account to its transaction.
