1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zclassic, Zcash Fork No Premine, No 20% Founders Tax on: December 18, 2017, 01:40:42 PM
$ZCL going 10 x in a few weeks?

Could be..

I understood that the founders of Zclassic (Rhett and Joshua) are teaming up and are planning a Bitcoin hardfork with zk-SNARK tech by dec 25th. The hard fork will be called ''Bitcoin Private - (BTCP)''. I am following the Zclassic telegram and according to the discussion there, the hard fork will produce a coin with elements of bitcoin gold/cash and Zcash/classic combined (correct me if I am wrong). If this is really the case this hard fork can be super HUGE!!

Everbody holding $ZCL or $BTC will receive 1:1 $BTCP. So if you hold 1 bitcoin, you will get 1 bitcoin private. If you hold 1 zclassic, you will get 1 bitcoin private. Considering the major price difference between bitcoin and zclassic ($19000 and $4), there is a huge upside potential for zclassic. Bitcoin private could be better than bitcoin gold, which is now trading $300 a coin.

If the hard fork really takes places, 10 x would not surprise me! Even 100 x would not surprise me!!

But this is all talk for now and nothing has been confirmed (yet)!! We will have to wait for the official announcement by the developers. So keep an eye on zclassic and dyor. If you see over 10x, don't be surprised. BTCP could be easily trading in the range $500-$1000 or maybe even more..
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LUNYR - Decentralized World Knowledge Base on Ethereum - Completed! on: June 08, 2017, 06:57:16 PM
The latest communication from the team came from Slack. They are going show off some work next week or the week after. So we need to be patient and wait for a week. In the mean time I bought more LUN. There is indeed little communication from the team but I don't mind. It seems they are working hard to deliver and have no time to focus on communication. But come on guys, it's only 1 month after ICO and you are already calling it a scam... just sell your coins already...

47,923.12 Ether were submitted in the crowdsale (1 ether = 44 LUN). The initial LUN supply in the white paper indicates distribution of the tokens in the following setup; 78% Crowdsale purchases, 15% Lunyr Team, 2% bug bounty, 5% Marketing/promotion.

78% = 2,108,617.18 LUN (47,923.12 ether x 44)
15% = 405,503.4 LUN (time-locked for 180 days)
2% = 54,067.12 LUN
5% = 135,167.8 LUN

100%= 2,703,356 LUN

85% of the LUN tokens are circulation due to the time lock of 15% for the Lunyr team.

This makes the total supply for now;
2,297,852.6 LUN tokens.

After the beta release there will be an inflation of 3% per year. The inflation is finite, so eventually there were will be an inflation of 0% (no new tokens). Does anybody at what rate the disinflation is?

Thanks!

Anybody know about the payouts model, what will be the source of payout to contributors and how much are payouts going to be?

Please read the white paper for more details, you can find it at lunyr.com.

but real quick, Advertisers buy LUN and with LUN they pay for ad space. The LUN coming from the ads will be placed in a pool and will be divided to the contributors of content every 2 weeks. If you know how internet marketing works then you know the payout depends on how popular LUNYR is. More page views means higher money flow and more ads. And I am confident that LUNYR will get millions and millions of page views per month (maybe even billions in the longterm). LUNYR will be a medium like wikipedia, but probably better, nicer interface, modern but the most important part is the RELIABLE and TRUST part.

Will LUNYR be bigger than wikipedia? Probably not in short term, but it will be used by many people.

2,297,853 LUN Circulating Supply
Can somebody from the team confirm that the 2,703,356 LUN is total supply? How are those 400 000 remaining coins be mined?

How will the project pay to contributors and content creators? From Ads?

Gentlemen, have some patience.  Im confident the team is working hard and you should not expect a finished product 4 weeks after ICO. The Lunyr project is pretty low key now and that means good time to buy cheap. Once they announce their progress the price will be higher! The current price now is $3.90. I think when they announce something big the price will soar to $13-$15 and then goes back to $8-$9. .

Can't wait for the platform to be ready. I will contribute by creating content. I have a youtube channel with 100k subscribers (not much, but it is still growing) and make videos about a specific topic (niche),  and have  almost 20 million views. My videos are all animated and infographics-ish (so no voice or face, only music, animations and text), so great content for an encyclopedia.

So I have 1 question;

Besides making texts, can I also make videos for the LUNYR platform?

Furthermore, not only will I contribute by creating content, I will drive my viewers to the LUNYR platform.

LUNYR Team, hope to hear more about the progress soon.

Wow!! The market cap of LUNYR is only at 8 million! Which is very low! This token has massive potential (or Not) depending on the execution by the team. I think LUNYR is maybe a little bit undervalued, I think the marketcap of LUNYR can easily be at 15-20 million.

But considering the progress (little to no updates since ICO) and no exposure (marketing etc.) at all, I can understand that new investors will want to wait. For the coming weeks I expect LUNYR to stabilize and slowly moving to 15 mill cap, speculators like me will buy.

Any good news from the LUNYR team will pump the price, it's all about execution and presentation. I expect a lot of the team.

If all goes well, I think LUNYR will have a market cap of 1 bill in a 2 years! Yes more than 100 x return, this is a gem.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the BTC go through $700 barrier before halving? on: June 13, 2016, 10:08:46 AM
At its current rate of increase, it will likely get an all time high in $$$, exciting times.

If we get a 20% pump like this every weekend we will reach an ATH in no time! Current price = $675.
Weekend 1 = $675 +20% = $810
Weekend 2 = $810 +20% = $972
Weekend 3 = $972 +20% = $1166.4
Weekend 4 = $1166.4 +20% = $1399.68

I am also fine if we replace weekend with month.

Yes I believe bitcoin can be very usefull for everyone in the world. But I think bitcoin will not reach it's FULL potential any time soon. Maybe in 10 or 15 years hopefully I can buy my groceries at the local supermarket with bits!

(probably we won't be going to the supermarket in the future because everything will done online)
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin continuous rising? on: June 13, 2016, 08:27:06 AM
I think NEW people are buying bitcoin and will be holding and there are less big whale holding bitcoin meaning bitcoin is more distributed when compared to 2013. I think this makes the bitcoin price less volatile with more chance on the upside as new investors are buying.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: June 10, 2016, 03:33:43 PM
Read books, get smarter. Start a company, create value and sell it. Convert a bit of your revenue to bitcoin and hope for the best. Actually, you should never put all your hopes for bitcoin to make you rich! You should invest in your self and create a business which makes you steady (passive) income. With this income you can buy bitcoin!

Currently I am working for a boss but in my free time I am working on my own business. My business is making about $100 per month so I cannot quit my job yet. But If I hit a steady $5000 a month side income, I will consider quitting my job.

12  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: June 10, 2016, 03:12:05 PM
I have spent on ordering online food and on sports bets. I hope to be able to pay at all restaurants soon because I like to eat out. In the meantime I convert my fiat to bitcoin and hold.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price will reach $4000 after halving ? on: June 10, 2016, 03:05:16 PM
Don't get your hopes too high but it's sure is possible. I think we have about 15% chance bitcoin going to $4000.00 or higher within 12 months. Remember, bitcoin still has a very small market cap of less then 9 billion dollars and moving a few millions to bitcoin can increase the marketcap to dozens millions higher.
