1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SCAMMERS!! Beware!! MCXNOW is a fraud!! on: May 04, 2014, 08:27:45 PM
So just tell him what you put there when you registered (this field is mandatory)?

In case you are who you claim to be of course...

I dont remember what i put there. i never realized that such scammers are running this site. password recovery works great on all normal sites.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SCAMMERS!! Beware!! MCXNOW is a fraud!! on: May 04, 2014, 05:35:13 PM
you didn't even try to prove who you are and told him to transfer that user's balance to the last address he transferred btc to. this could be your address if you were a scammer.

the manners of RS put aside, it would have been irresponsible of him to do what you asked him to do.

read the thread again. he can still just send the money to the last addresses used, or even the first address used. or, he can get back to my email, which he didn't yet. or any other thing except the stupid question "what is your password"

Did you answer the security question?

no. there is only one "first pet" security question. which also points to a lousy developer. since my first pet name isnt secure, i never use it.

The type of company you dont want to do business with, defendly no customer service in the main agenda, is great to be a talented coder but with bs quality services is a time bomb, just like mtgox.

calling a client words if enough to know what kind of exchange its!

bro neither gox devs nor mcxnow devs are good devs.
in mcxnow password are even not hashed. how amatuer can one be?
on gox, their source code revealed..... crappy work

I once had a similar problem at mcxnow.

I kept entering the wrong password. Found the right one. Case solved.

didnt work for me. i guess their genius developer had some corruption in the code. he should have heard of valgrind

Corruption in the codeing?   Roll Eyes

I've never had an issue @ Mcxnow.

You can't call Mcxnow a "Fraud" because you can't login because you forgot your password. (Did you consider that someone could have brute-forced your password too??) IIRC not a single coin has gone missing from Mcxnow. That speaks volumes in a time where it seems every other exchange has coins "go missing" (I'm looking at your Gox & Cryptorush!)
IMO the best exchange. Fast, secure.. It's great.

That chat log still has me LOLing  Cheesy

Yeah well you never heard of memory or file corruption didn't you? Leave the business to the professionals pal

as for Silver_Pharaoh, you all forget the very simple fact of "how to make password recovery correctly".
and, i didn't forget my password.
and!! if you read everything thouroughly, this guy is undoubtly NOT a professional programmer.
10  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The Official MCXNOW - REALSOLID SCAM Thread - Please add to this if u scammed. on: May 04, 2014, 02:29:02 PM
Post your message here on how he has scammed you.  I was scammed by him as he decided to shutdown his site "Temporarily" Which could mean years based on his history.  His announcement took the price of his shares from .21+ to .05 within an hour.   Keep in mind that just a few weeks ago he sold his shares for .4 to everyone.  Promising that his site will never go down and it can be run by his dumb wife that has half a brain if there really is one.

I got scammed as well see here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=595500.msg6540430#msg6540430

Or he could send the money to the last address.
Why the hell would he do that? What if the last transfer was made to you for whatever reason and now you try to get that MXCNow user's whole balance?

OK so how any reasonable exchange/website would handle this? Hint: they don't ask for your password. And somehow you forgot what I wrote about EMAIL. The simple solution everyone uses.

Good people who want to donate are welcome..

You went to IRC with some generic guest account name, claimed to be some MCXNow user and didn't want or weren't able to prove your identity (you didnīt answer to the security question).
The exchange owner then refused to transfer that MCXNow user's account balance.

So your point is? You not being adressed "Sir" in IRC chat?

smart guy, password recovery can be done via email. or he could just send me the money. asking for the password is not accepted anywhere.
He can still send the money to the last withdraw address. But he won't. So they are STEALING. STEALING!!!!!

This has to be one of the funniest exchanges I've ever seen!

Ok, ok. I've stopped laughing.
To be serious for a moment. Why would he assume you aren't trying to scam some btc out of an account? You couldn't give the password even with hints and didn't know when last withdrawal and for how much.

Password reset can be done via email, for example. No one asks for the password itself.
Just like every normal website works!!
Or he could send the money to the last address.

Seems like you forgot your password.

Realsolid like to be rude with the custommer, especially when they make a mistake.
That's not politically correct, for sure. But hey that's mcxNOW. If you don't like that, you don't use it.

Okay, I'm stunned. This is a 'professional' doing client service?

Does anyone else have any proof of treatment like this.

This seems like the type of exchange we need to warn community members about.

Realsolid is the only owner and programmer of mcxNOW.

It's as much professional in the technologic and security sense, than it is unprofessional in customer service.
No coins were ever lost or stolen. It's without doubt the fastest exchange out there.

But if you make a mistake (lose your password or your 2FA phone), Realsolid will not be nice with you.

If the OP is really who he's pretending, he will recover access to his account, when he prove it.

Bro this guy has zero professionality!!! Anyone who knows something about dev, will never ask a client for his password!!!

I definitely agree!!

Not to mention that asking users for their password is.. let's say.. unprofessional

Read this..

MCXNOW = MTGOX NOW

EDIT: It turns out from the conversatoin that MCXNOW is doing a VERY irresponsible thing: they keep your password in clear text!!! They don't keep only the hash of it!!! They never heard of how to secure sensitive data!!!

EDIT: MCXNow pay me here 16NM1geMJKXozvN9yAgnBNZNDKUAZbMW3g
Good people who want to donate are welcome..

EDIT: Here are a lot more scammed people https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=347008.0
Also, note that in this current thread the guy uses tons of fake IDs.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypto Rush - Crypto to Crypto exchange on: March 30, 2014, 04:32:34 AM
It looks bad over the last days. Really bad.

Cant withdraw BTC.
No wonder why all alts are so high there, so I can withdraw BTC only by buying another coin and losing 10-20% cause of the high prices there.
Interestingly. they closed their IRC.
I opened a support ticket several times to get my BTC, nothing yet.
Am I being Goxxed?
Or a victim to another gox style scam? (like raising the alts by blocking BTC withdrawals..)
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NYC] New York Coin LAUNCHED on: March 10, 2014, 02:10:13 PM

Thanks
