Regarding mining GoldCoin GLD I think few people asked where to mine or how at least on telegram. So GoldCoin is based on a scrypt algorithm and can be mine with hardware like antminer L3+, Innosilicon A4+ or other scrypt hardware. GLD can be mined at prohashing (4.99%fee), hash2coins (0%fee but half hash wasted) or and which I prefer and using is zergpool (0.5%fee) Prohashing is expensive and not that great as should be. Hash to coins probably free but you will get about half of coins you should be mined because do to 51% gdl defence system hash2coins is blocked with half of his dominated hash mostly. Just look at stats there always pool hash is 50% of Net and by my Cancerian if you looking to mine only GLD you loosing 50% of your hash. Zergpool is multi coins pool with autoconversion to your desired coin payout. This can be btc but GLD as well also there is option to mine only specific coin so in your miner password field you need paste c=GLD,mc=GLD. Worker is your GoldCoin wallet address. Just sharing my point because pool which I been mining long time (gldpool.dns.navy) is closed down. Mining no dumping but hodling! GoldCoin will rewards us very well one day!
Well said. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Don't get scared by the huge price swings. The big players are buying when there's blood in the streets. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

there is another coin with same symbol STR, its stellar, people will get confused if both get listed on same exchange
They actually changed it to XLM a long time ago. There was also confusion with Startcoin (START). The price of StarCoin on Cryptsy began mimicking that of Startcoin, though it was way lower.

Come Meet GoldCoin Team USA in person at Cryptolina 2018 in Raleigh, NC June 15-16.
Almost sounds like another conference in Berlin. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) 'Berolina' is the latinised version of Berlin.

Somebody pinch me please. ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) pinched ! ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) That didn't work. So, we're dealing with solid gold here? Does this mean I don't have to slap other humanoid beings' behinds because of the price not going above one dollar next month? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Very funny. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I have been mining STR (almost) from the beginning. Better get familiar with the history of this coin. A few days ago, I have been able to prove the instability of the staking-algo (read my post). This is also, I believe, what happened to the POS block generation in late 2013. It simply stopped. Time to abandon staking completely. Just go POW. BTW, there is no option 'staking=0.'

Let's hope Cryptosolar has some spare time left. I suggest taking a long stroll through the Bavarian Quarter in Berlin-Schöneberg. Look at all the beautiful architecture. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) We're expecting nice temperatures in Berlin for the next days. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Greetings from you know where I am... ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

There is an issue with the staking-mechanism that needs to be addressed. I have a working copy of the blockchain from 2 May 2017. A few days after the above date, I did a large transaction to another wallet. The client went off-line for a while.
When I started it again, it went into staking the entire sum and got stuck. I also tried to mine again, but the peer on the other side didn't accept my blocks.
Recently I experimented with a truncated version of the chain. I used one client for mining. Another one was staking for hours. I made a transaction that included a large amount of newly-mined blocks to a third wallet. The first time, it worked.
Then I tried this again. The second client suddenly ceased producing POS blocks. A huge amount of coins disappeared. checkwallet didn't report any errors.
I then copied a backup of the blockchain as well as the wallet into the StarCoin folder. The client loaded the blocks, and all the coins were retrieved. However, there was no staking going on.
The old chain from 2017 now has been mining for two days. So far, no POS blocks since I do not dare put any old wallets on-line again - just in case. I believe it once was planned to get rid of staking altogether.
Sorry if I sound negative, but I only try to help.
