1  Bitcoin / Pools / Timeline? on: March 09, 2017, 04:13:42 PM
I'm still mining with Eligius and I've been trying to give benefit of the doubt, exercise patience and stick it out here, but I'm seriously starting to consider pointing my miners somewhere else since the updates are few and far between and there is no definitive timetable for when everything will be back up. Sorry to hear about all the troubles with the transition, but this is really dragging out and getting tough to wait on with so many other pools out there.

I'm also curious about the question asked about segwit. Some big pools have committed themselves recently to support particular scaling solutions one way or the other. I think I also read some pools are letting miners vote their individual preference, but I couldn't find anything regarding it at all when searching this topic or on eligius.st

Finally got the block.   Cheesy
I was just perusing which pools are signalling segwit yet and notice this one is still not signalling segwit (though I recall you saying something about doing it at some stage in the future?) And it's an empty block despite being almost 2 minutes after the previous block D:

Thanks for all the hard work on Eligius-Ra in the past and for the payout before the changeover to Eligius-Hu wizkid. All the new changes look interesting and I'm excited to see all the new things being updated and implemented, including the new website and stats pages.

Regarding this question bblboy54 asked the other day, which is the best address if we'd like to drop something in the tip jar in support?
Wk, would you prefer donations being sent to your tip address here or to the 1Stats address listed on the old stats page?  I don't have much but do want to thank you for your hard work.

the ticketing system seems to be dead, isn't sending any emails - and no responses.... raised two - no email notification of ticket number, no way to follow up.

Strange. It looks like at least one other person that chimed in here was also having trouble with it. Last month when I was trying to submit tickets, I never got the emails confirming submission after submitting the form and arriving at the landing page telling me to expect email and to update with the links sent there. At the time, I attempted to send the request a few times with separate email addresses (2 different domains that I confirmed were working and receiving messages from others), and I even tried using different browsers. Nothing ever came through.

Anyway, should I try to resubmit a ticket there now then? I sent a follow up personal message your way here, so whichever is easier for you, just let me know.

Hi wizkid057,
I sent you a personal message on the forum here because I was getting no reply via the http://eligius.st/support/ ticket submission system. I haven't gotten a response here either though. Can you send a reply to me next time you're here, or let me know how to get in touch to get support and clarification on my stats and the miners I have pointed at Eligius?

Hey there, I still haven't gotten a reply even though I see you've checked in to this thread in recent days. From reading the thread, I realize you're busy with the Eligius transition, but how should I get in touch to ask questions or get support if not here or via the ticketing system? I don't see any other way to contact you listed on the Eligius site. I'll send another Personal Message in the event that the last was never received or got overlooked. I'd certainly appreciate any help or insight you can give.

Hi, I'm completely new to mining and to using the Eligius Pool, and it was easy enough to get mining. The website and info were great. But I'm still familiarizing myself with things, so apologies if this is a simply answered question.

I've just received an antminer s7 and have it set up and mining on Eligius. I have a question about the stats page. I've got the stats provided from the antminer interface, and it lists the following for the 6+ hours I've been mining on Eligius so far: Elapsed: 6h31m53s  GH/S(5s): 4,948.96   GH/S(avg): 4,563.83

However, on the Eligius stats page it lists Hashrate Average over 3 hours as 2,928.16 Gh/s. I've checked frequently on the antminer interface, and it has had a consistent hashrate in both fields listed above 4,500 GH/s each time I checked.

Why is there such a large disconnect between the average hashrate reported? Are the stats on Eligius just estimating hashrate based on valid shares accepted/submitted and I've simply had bad luck so far? Do I need to run it a bit longer before a more accurate average hashrate is reported?
