1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can BTC reach 12$K? And how about the altcoins? on: October 27, 2018, 10:40:28 AM
Do you think BTC can reach $12K at the end of this month? If not, do you think when will it happen?
How about the Altcoins this month? Is it the time to invest? I really care about it. Thank you for your opinion.
According to the most optimistic forecasts, 10k is the ceiling for this year. Well, accordingly, some alts will make at least x2, while others are capable of x5.

$10k could be reached relatively easy. The Bitcoin Cash could also reach $1000.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Very first tests P104-100: 39 Mh/s ETH; 470 sol/s ZEC - Nice GPU! on: May 02, 2018, 06:12:07 PM
44 Mh/s it's for people that don't care about energy cost, my p104's do 39 Mh/s at 118w , yours 44Mh/s at 160w
Hello, can u share your settings?
39 Mh/s at 118w is impressive..

I just received some P104-100s and am testing one but what are people using to monitor power usage?  My nvidia inspector doesn't get any readings.  Is there a version that works for this card or some other program?

Thanks!

JJ

You can use GPUZ.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ZEC with CPU? on: November 09, 2017, 05:22:17 PM
why would you even try?

For people with spare CPU usage.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ZEC with CPU? on: October 02, 2017, 08:16:15 AM
well to mine with a laptop is anyways not the best of all ideas ...

Do not mine the ZEC with CPU. It is better to mine the XMR.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ZEC with CPU? on: August 04, 2017, 07:52:26 AM
With CPU you should mine XMR.

The CPU should support AES_NI.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone have an 8 video card rigs? on: July 10, 2017, 02:28:57 PM
I use 4 Asus Prime Z270-A with 8 GPUs (7 x PCIE + 1 M.2 -> PCIE adapter).

That's a very expensive mother board.

My a88x-g45 have 6 pcie but can only support 5. With extension it sort of support 6

The z270-A is all that I will use. I have had great luck with it so far. I have 6 mining computers going now with between 6-8 Nvidia GPUs. I am not going to sweat ~$20-50 for a better MoBo when I am spending 4-6k on the overall computer... I went with what I knew would work. Period.

I like your confidence. Not too expensive. Only 1.9 million. Not much more expensive than my A88x.

Anyone using AMD? Any AMD board that also works well?

I too used to use asrock btc. Never have problems with 6 GPU. I never tried using it for 7 to 8 GPU.

In terms of power consumption for high end cards, it is better to use 6 GPU.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: large scale mining advice on: April 17, 2017, 11:37:20 AM
You can do what i did , i didn't make them pay in any of the setting up costs , i built everything and i have free electricity , after building everything i charged them 1/3 of thier profits to host the rigs in my place and taking care of everything and the offer was fair enough for them.

i would never host anything if you are asking 33% of my revenue, this is stupid crazy man, would kill my profit 100% and roi would take much longer, and asking 33% isn't very different than mining with very expensive electricity, so why i should mine in your facility? i just keep mining with my expensive electricity

20-33% of the profit is more reasonable.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: ($820) i told you so on: January 06, 2017, 11:25:56 AM

Well we are having a biiiiiiig red candle down to sub 1k, lets see if it does recover from this. 820 might happen soon

I think bottom has already been reached.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: ($820) i told you so on: December 21, 2016, 04:00:02 PM
It already crossed the threshold i see the price on preev @820$, Its often seen that bitcoin disappoint at the end of every year but this time the situation is new.

The price was higher later last year.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: limits of ZEC mining on: November 14, 2016, 05:05:02 PM
Does it mean the R9 390 which has 512 bit memory bus and 1500 Mhz, should be faster than the 470?
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: October 12, 2016, 09:34:30 AM
If I had a legitimate way to make the same amount of money with bitcoin as I do with my currenct fulltime job then hell yeah I would quit right now to go full time on bitcoin but sadly I can't make the same amount of money.

That is right. The bitcoin is much better than the fiat or other investment methods. It is better to have some and earn some.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can exchanges find out Bitfinex funds if "hacker" runs them throught mixers? on: October 02, 2016, 07:59:33 AM
So in this situation... how can they find them? I wish they find them and people can recover funds but what if he runs coins through mixers?
Tracing coins through exchanges will lead you nowhere! The source of incoming coins would still be hidden if they're not part of a famous wallet which I believe hacker will be smart enough to not list any details on the blockchain.By now,the coins would be mixed already and maybe even I've a part of it bought through exchanges.

If the exchanges can cooperate with the authority, it will help a lot to find the criminals and the hacking will reduce.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can exchanges find out Bitfinex funds if "hacker" runs them throught mixers? on: September 15, 2016, 06:46:43 AM
It's hard to do that, considering that Bitcoin is anonymous. And I think that they won't use that kind of public service, they will probably make their own mixer and use it by their own.

Bitcoin is not anonymous. It's pseudonymous. While an address is not by definition linked to a human identity, it certainly can be in many ways if a user is not very careful to cover all tracks.

Making your own mixer with that amount of hot coins would just put a target on your back when everyone realizes that you're delivering tainted coins from the Bitfinex heist to your customers.

So it is better to use a existing big mixing service. But how can you make your coin safe without being identified by the mixer?

The mixer service will not reveal your identity to anyone, if they not forced to do that through legal means. So your coins are safe, if you send it

through these mixers. Even if your coins are clean, it might be mixed with coins that were acquired by illegal means... Nobody knows where their

money came from and how it was used, and this fits with what is happening with fiat money too. Freshly mined coins are the only clean coins.  Roll Eyes

Which authority can force the mixer to reveal the identity of the users? Can the police in China to force them?

I think the hacker has already made a lot of money by shorting the bitcoin before the hack news leaked out. So there is no immediate need for him to spend the stolen money now.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can exchanges find out Bitfinex funds if "hacker" runs them throught mixers? on: August 06, 2016, 03:14:43 PM
If you run through the mixers several times or with several mixers, it is not possible to find out the trace.

no i have my full time job and i am using bitcoin as a part time job. i think after coming back from my job i have usually a lot of time to do study about bitcion. bitcoin give me and extra income and that is very good for extra expanses.

It is good difficult to do full time with bitcoin. Its market cap is too low, not enough to support too many people.
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: July 07, 2016, 10:37:43 AM
I think that it is very difficult to get a job, because so many unemployed people out there looking for work. maybe if you did feel you can make more money if you're out of work, perhaps you'd better go out and look for bitcoin. but I will not be out of work I get if I were given a salary that much, because it's very good if I combine with an income of bitcoin

Its right now pretty difficult to get a bitcoin job but this is because the bitcoin community is still small.
When this will change there will be a lot more jobs and maybe its even gonna be than easy to find a job in the bitcoin itself.

Yes. The bitcoin related job opportunity is too small. It could be due to the little usage of the bitcoin by the general public.
