Be cautious but my kill-a-watt tools worked when i used them for 240v as well as 120v. Most of them are made the same just a different plug for different parts of the world.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 200 amp main breaker tripping on: May 09, 2017, 09:00:22 PM
I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out your numbers.
240v x 200amps =48000 watts. 110v x 200amps = 22000watts
I get that your miners may be on 240v and the rest of the house is on 120v for the most part(the oven might be on 240v). You should never run at 100% of power ratting, 80% max.

There will always be some loss do to resistance; over the lines, breakers and each connector(plug). You may possibly have a week breaker. Breakers have know idea how much power is going through, they trip based on heat. They should trip before the amp rating, and are rated for constant current not spikes. Some of your household items also have a spike on power when turn on that could trip the main. I've noticed that my miners reduce power then increase it again when mining. If you get enough asking for more power at the same time can overload the breaker.

This may not be the answer your looking for but for others some factors to considering when starting to plan an farm such as yours.

Your at the max of the card on Eth/Etc. You may want to run it on Zcash/zcl. They get 400+h/s pretty easily. Or possibly dual mine with it.

@yun9999 or anyone else with the Sapphire Fury cards.

I have 15 of them with all the same settings (-96mv) 900/400 15.12 driver and the last one I bought won't under-volt in Windows 10. Has anyone else ever experienced this before?
This is what I have tried;
moved it to a different rig with 5 other Fury's and it will run Optiminer but Claymore will return a error saying the GPU returned incorrect data.
moved it back to the new rig with 3 other Furys and it will crash the driver in about 30 seconds of mining with Optiminer
reinstalled windows and new drivers - same
   installed 16.3.2 drivers - same
UEFI Bios and standard - same
moved it to a independent computer, ran graphic benchmarks on default settings and no errors - but when I under-volt it, crashes the computer.

Every setup has more than enough power overhead, running TB 85 or H81 boards - except the independent PC (supermicro server)

I purchased it at Newegg but to send it back, I believe they would test it and it would pass there tests because how many gamers really under-volt that much.

Any suggestions

My Sapphire 280x toxic cards continue to hang almost every hour or two. I tried every possible settings for power, clocks, intensity, VM set to 24 GB and nothing works. Most of the cases -wd 1 or -r 0 options manage to restart the miner but sometimes the zecminer window is frozen, I can't even manually or with killing with the task manager close it. Is there a script that can recognize when a zecminer window is not responding and then restarting the windows? I know that -r 1 can restart but I don't want to do it so often. It will waste too much time since in 4 out of 5 cases -r 0 does the job.

I have 6 of these cards. 1150 core, 1500 mem, 15.12 drivers, Win 10, 60% fan are the best IMO. They do consume a lot of power so make sure you have a good PSU(s) and that has a good over head of power.
5 x 280x Vapors and a 7990 at these settings use 1557watts for ZEC.

@stoon !  Cheesy amazing setup, what are you mining on the Furies ?
Thank you

ZCL at the moment. Once I have a good amount I will switch to ZEC unless Eth jumps up in value again.

Have you set the virtual memory to 16GBs? Also, I believe 16.3 drivers are the best for 480s at the moment.

Hello,

I also have 1 of my cards (1/3) that is droping.  I didnt change anything.

LJ

Not sure what your settings are or the cards or OS but sometimes you have to increase the power to the card that isn't as good as the others. This happens because the miner is pushing the card more it sometimes can't handle the extra demand. In windows using afterburner, increase the mV to the core. I have once rig that has six of the identical cards but there is one card that can't quite handle the under volt like the rest. So, I turn the mV up a bit for all of them and its runs rock solid. Its worth a try at least until we have more information on your setup.

Not for my Nano/Furrys it isn't!

Any info on stock nano speed please?

I get about 10 Sols/s more than on Claymore's v11.1. I'm on linux.

And how much would it be please?
