2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: List of Avalon ASIC batch 3 orders on: August 02, 2013, 12:41:20 PM
Because yours is without PSU, they have not shipped any of these yet.
Hence my question to jgarzik.

Yes they did. Look at Coinhoarders orders. He ordered with PSU and received all 7, 4 module systems....

(and a birdy told me they are hashing happily thanx to the great job Coinhoarder did for this farm)
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FRC] FreiCoin Giveaway on: May 04, 2013, 01:24:59 PM
FRC is just a great coin. Still relativly cheap in vircurex and easy to trade. It is just about the only alt-coin that actually tries to be good for everybody....

O, and those two free coins.... Keep them.... I have over 80btc in FRC now and not selling in the forseable future... so spend them where they do good...  Cheesy
But thanx for the offer anyway.

Anyone wanna share how to mine this stuff....?
Hardly worth the efforts, but you never know.

Open your wallet app to start blockchain dl, then go to appdata directory (just hit start and type %appdata% and press enter), create file bitbar.conf with this info:

Code:
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9344
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0

block_nTime=1317972665
block_nNonce=2084524493

then point your miner to 127.0.0.1:9344 assuming you are soloing on just that box.  The rest is normal scrypt mining, look into LTC mining.

Thanks.... I was halfway there.... Its running now.... see what happens...

I'm willing to buy/invest more depending on price....
7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Batch 3 [CLOSED- Seven 4 module Avalons ordered] on: March 30, 2013, 09:52:33 PM
Ok, so spread risks... i mean it has advantages this way too.

At least that's what I'd like to see. Can't speak for anyone else. We should propably do a google group or something so we could spread documents and do polls very easily.

As a later buyer, I would not be overly-offended if somehow those earlier in ended up with some tiny advantage, but it was fairly clear at least past the first or second unit that it would be a group buy.  In any case, it's clearly in everyone's interest to spread the risk across all the machines.  Would the couple people first in truly be happy if machine one didn't come up and they sat on the sidelines for a week or two while the issue was resolved.  Having so many units is really nice with this regard.

You won't be able to tell which is "machine 1" or "machine 7"

That will not do.... when all is up and running, and the dust has settled... I want at least one picture of "My Precious" working his butt off... So I move we have CH put a large sticker on every machine
with a number... don't care on what order of color.... as long as there is a "My Precious" with a large #1 on it....

The list is sorted by user name.... I need EVERYONE to:
Please find your user name
Confirm that the amount you deposited is the amount you are credited
Check your Bitcoin pay out address (the address you wish to receive dividends)
Make sure your transaction ID is actually YOUR deposit (check times/addresses if unsure).

Happy as a clam... all complete and correct for me

I hope you guys are happy with your investment, I am happy to provide this service for your guys.
Not really actually, but I did not have any more to put into this project... so it will have to do....

And if it helps, I'm willing to claim any unclaimed payment...   Wink

What? wtf i just read.... we aint mining yet?

I was planning on receiving thousands of btc by tomorrow......

Checked...

You cannot add that amount of "Avalon ASIC Unit – Batch Three" to the cart because there is not enough stock (57 remaining).
So I think we can get up to 10 ASICs in total.... Someone should request a large account discount or something....
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Batch 3 [Open again for a 6th unit] on: March 26, 2013, 10:26:35 PM
I can send some small change in addition to the initial deposit.... if it helps....  (please say yes.....)
11  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Batch 3 [Open again for a 5th unit] on: March 26, 2013, 09:52:31 PM
Seems we can take our sweet time to gather some more coins....

just checked by adding 150 units:
You cannot add that amount of "Avalon ASIC Unit – Batch Three" to the cart because there is not enough stock (68 remaining).

See if I can sell some LTC.... just in case...  Cheesy (bommed I only had 5 btc to put into this.....)
12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Batch 3 [CLOSED- DO NOT SEND FUNDS] on: March 26, 2013, 04:03:51 PM
I can still put avalon batch 3 into the cart. So maybe if theres still enough interest the groupbuy can be extended? Only an idea, i dont have bitcoins anymore but some users showed interest.

When I bought a Batch #2 unit, I found that units came up for sale at random times for a while.  That is, the store changed back and forth from sold out to units in stock.

This might happen with Batch #3 as well.  I notice that OP returned my original payment (thank you) and I also notice that the FUD spreaders have already started work on this thread (wish they would only post what they can back up).

I think it would work to our benefit if you kept our payments for several days, so that you can move quickly if another purchase opportunity presents itself.

Just checked, still 43 available.... so it should be possible to add another unit to the list.....
