1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 21, 2016, 01:51:58 PM
Sharing this very nice initiative by Athan Clark. He is creating a light GUI wallet for only 200 XMR:
https://forum.getmonero.org/6/ideas/86924/nice-gui-wallet

And it's going to be finished very soon. Quick guy! Quote: "I will have this app finished in 1.5 weeks at most. If you doubt me, put your money where your mouth is! "

I also speculate we are going sideways until friday evening.

I keep making the best calls ITT while everyone else is like.... "hurr durr hodl for 2 yrs and you'll be rich!" .... "monero is gunna replace bitcoin, derp!"  Wink

It's a risky game you are playing. Your calls are gambling, nothing else. I think many with the same mindset were locked out for good after selling at 008 thinking that this was for sure the top and they would rebuy lower.

I hope the same happens to you, cuz I don't like your condescending tone towards investors/holders, you need to accept that not everyone is a trader.
And nobody gives a fuck about the success of your trades, so take your boasting somewhere else.

Well since the last ATH we lost somewhat 25%, so this is not as disgusting as you prefer to say.
I feel admired by your compliment, but i do not think that i am able to "scare" some investors/traders at this volumes seen on polo  Cheesy Grin
Yes i screamed, because the rise was way too fast and the risk of getting blown away by a dump present and risky.
Like i said earlier, let's wait for the weekend, if this stepping down continues in the same manner, we will reach 0,017 by saturday, think about it...

You can just as well interpret that chart comparison as the current bulltrend just getting started, because you are comparing a 60 day timeframe with a 15 day..  Roll Eyes

Back then there was no use for monero and volume was 10-15 times lower. Different players and fundamentals now.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 07, 2016, 08:40:26 AM

You are pathetic. I don't mind negative price speculation but the way you do it is disgusting. You are trying to scare off investors with your projections and empty comments. It's obvious that you sold your coins waaay too early (I think below 008) and now you are desperate to get back in. The funniest part is that you think your words here actually have an effect. Monero has grown enough to not give a fuck about what gets said in this thread anymore. So just give up your futile attempts to fud down the price. Before each leg up in price you have screamed that dumps are coming. It's just not gonna work man, give it up.

I wanna know what Warz thinks. Smiley

He has commented on the GUI looking nice.

He took a "decent chunk" of profit in 007-009.

But he also thinks it could go to 03.

Sold all my XMR @ .0121 avg, 572btc worth. Will buy it all back at .005 Smiley

Good luck, not gonna happen. Doubt we will see 0121 again even
I've sold most of my XMR. It was rising too quickly for my liking. Still made some pretty good profits so not too concerned if it goes higher. I put in some low buy orders in case the market retracts.

Thing is that market is just now realizing the potential - I won't be surprised if we go 0.03 today. It's only 150k xmr away

Since this is going to be the new darknet currency it simply must adjust too a much higher price.

Do people really believe this is going back to 0.004 with all the new shit. So many articles popping up in big media channels.

This feels so similar to early BTC. Anyone that was around then feel the same?

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 26, 2016, 04:05:38 PM
If you search for xmr you see the same data but by region it gets interesting - Canada is going hard for XMR.  Noticeable also that there's still not much interest from Europe or Australia - so big markets still to get on board.

Keep in mind there is a quadbike manufacturer called XMR, which is what the canadians are searching for.

I have a hunch that they will release the gui wallet sometime before Monero trading on AlphaBay begins on Sept 1.

Soon..

XMR articles about DNM adoption on frontpage of:

vocativ.com - 4 million monthly traffic
newsbtc.com - 400k
cryptocoinsnews.com - 1 million

not on frontpage:
sputniknews.com - 30 million

numbers pulled from similarweb.com

Google searches for the term Monero and XMR went 5x after alphabay announcement.

Reddit subscribers increased from 10-20 per day to 100-150 per day.

Still think it smells like a fake pump? LoL  Undecided

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 22, 2016, 01:34:15 PM

The recent rise of Monero to 5's is in the very same time as this vid was publishded...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4S-eLLiTwk&feature=autoshare

Coinincidence....?

Yes that video with its totally crazy 150 views is the reason Monero pumped.

I don't like him, his videos or his old webcam from 2004. And you can't change my mind with your pathetic shilling attempts trying to make us believe he is somehow responsible for this rise in price. Get outta here..
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 20, 2016, 03:34:59 PM
We just need the GUI asap.

Even if a great dev supported gui did exist I for one would almost certainly continue using the command line version as long as it was still supported as well.

Just some of my thoughts, interested in yours.

You are a nerd (no offense) and different from 99% of the rest of the population  Smiley

Even DNM users aren't necessarily tech savvy, it's not like you need 1337-skills to download tor browser and navigate to a url.

I use the CLI wallet and agree that it's not difficult, but I also understand why people don't like using it or won't even try.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 20, 2016, 03:26:02 PM
What do you mean?
There is around 50 % less Darkcoins (6-7 mil) issued compared with Monero (12 mil) so it should be easier to pump Monero's marketcap. Each 1 dollar rise represents 12 million dollar rise in Monero's and merely 6-7 million dollar rise in Darkcoin's market capitalizations.

Precisely this:
Hes talking about what I like to call the ripple effect (since ripple is the poster child for this bait and switch). The price is a function of supply and demand (obviously) but coinmarketcap conflates currency supply for actual supply on the market.

[Dash Masternodes] .. So in effect this supply is locked out of the market. Even though in this case its a dash cartel locking away all of the funds rather than a single monopolist in the case of ripple, its the same effect.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 20, 2016, 02:45:58 PM
Do you think thanks to her Darkcoin has a marketcap of 100 million?

You need to educate yourself on how coinmarketcap calculates marketcaps and stop being amazed by that arbitrary number.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 20, 2016, 02:11:37 PM
How people will find Monero if there is no marketing?  Huh

People will discover Monero from word-of-mouth, blog posts, articles, comments etc. From services (like DNM's) accepting new payment options, and so on.  Soon the whole userbase of Oasis and AlphaBay will be greeted with a safer way for them to transact. This type of marketing is the most powerful available.

Sure you can reach 100k people in 24h with internet marketing, but out of those you would be lucky if 10 dig deeper into the subject. 99% of the viewers are average joe people that don't give a fuck about investing or why anonymity is good.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 20, 2016, 01:10:24 PM
So the first wave of darknet adoption is coming with 2 confirmed markets (Oasis, Alphabay) working on implementation. The rest will follow soon once they hear about it from more users. Fuck social media, ppc and ad marketing, we don't need that. We just need the GUI asap and then the best we can do is educate darknet users about the technology behind XMR. The word will travel by itself with some small initial help.
