1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 05, 2013, 04:45:42 PM
Hey guys,

I wanted to get some input from the more seasoned veterans than myself but I have a mining rig that consists of:
2 x 5870 (~430kh/s ea fine tuned)
1 x 5850 (around 372kh/s fine tuned)
and I just got in a 7850

Now everything was running great w/ cgminer 2.11.3 and drivers 13.2 w/ SDK 2.5 manually installed.

The issue is that I received the 7xxx series card and I reformatted the hard drive to install the current drivers and SDK for it.

Now with just the 7850 in place, I am able to get good performance out of it (around 380kh/s with overclocking) but when i try to have all the cards running at the same time the driver is constantly crashing after some time causing cgminer to crash etc.  I've tried lowering the overclocks and intensity without success.

The same rig has been 48++hr stable with just the 5xxx cards in place and running I 19.

Are there some tips to mixing generations like this?

Since this money will not be issued in accordance to good and services available for that money it will in the end stop being a currency (even one created out of thin air) and simply a ponzi-scheme which people buy in hopes of increased value. There will be no point in purchasing anything since any purchase would thin out your finite investment and in the same way you couldn't possibly sell anything.

Porsche sold for 300 bitcoins - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=143722.0

This is just the start, there's no point taking bitcoins to the grave.  Everyone will have a cash out point whether it be 1k, 10k, 100k etc.  Or rather most people will get to a point in which they think trading their BTC is worth the real goods and services that they are receiving.  The person who bought the Porsche thought their 300 bitcoins were worth that.

This is so incredible, This community has gone from a pizza for 10k to a porsche for 300... just think about that for a minute next time you're doubting it's value and the trust involved.  What's next?

Looks like a solid build, those 7970s are beast!

Hey guys, pretty new to mining but I've always tinkered with hardware overclocking and what not so it's been second nature to me.

I enjoy the process of building a new rig and am looking forward to expanding.

I'm also active on reddit.com/r/litecoinmining (idc what you think about reddit I just like the fact that it notifies you when you get direct responses, something most forums could use)

Looking forward to some exciting times ahead!

Good post OP, we become too comfortable when things don't go bad and we are blindsided when they do.

wouldn't this system lead to spamming of topics and posts?

One would think
