I'm Ben

I came across Bitcoin first in about Feb 2012 and thought nothing of it. I saw it was only available on some Tor as a currency for common transactions and thought it would just be like the Linden note or whatever it was called. I considered investing but took at look at the exchange rate and saw it was stable as hell. I had a feeling I was missing something then.

Anyway jumped on the bandwagon on April 1st and made a small killing as I threw in a large wad of cash and sold on the recent plateau so I'm pretty chuffed with my investment now.

I'm trading from Germany but living in Asia where few people have ever heard of the Bitcoin right now....I'd predict when the Chinese get a sniff that things will get interesting.

bytecoins are not a boat.  they are pieces of paint that fell off the bitcoin aircraft carrier.  they just happen to float..

New to the forum, two weeks into mining. Smiley

Hoping BFL turns out to ship something usable, but comfortably bringing in a few GH/s with custom rigs we put together this week.

Here's to the network not being dominated by ASIC's! Cheesy

Hey guys, pretty new to mining but I've always tinkered with hardware overclocking and what not so it's been second nature to me.

I enjoy the process of building a new rig and am looking forward to expanding.

I'm also active on reddit.com/r/litecoinmining (idc what you think about reddit I just like the fact that it notifies you when you get direct responses, something most forums could use)

Looking forward to some exciting times ahead!

Fairy new as well. I know what you mean about the rig building! We started tinkering with one computer and then in the span of a week (not even) all of a sudden we had 3 new riggs set up. Fuuuuuun stuff. Smiley

Hello folks,

I've been laptop mining since last March (I've made .02 bitcoins since then :p). I'm studying economics, and the recent events with bitcoin have resparked my interest in the currency. I'm doing regression analysis on bitcoins for a school project, if anyone has any interest in this.

I want to try to explain variance in BTC value in USD as a dependent variable, using different equations for different factors like technical (difficulty, generation rate, etc) and economic (exchange rates, market indexes).

I'm not sure how effective these will be, as there are so qualitative variables that affect Bitcoin value, but I will still make all this data public for people more capable than I Smiley

That data would be great to look at!  I hope you find some good info.
