1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nobody wins in gambling anyway on: May 15, 2019, 03:37:25 PM
it is rare that somebody is happy after gambling, ~~~

Absolutely, there are very handful individuals or gamblers that win and go happy after gambling. Most of these guys are cheaters of the system before they could have a win. Although, sometime i gamble and win and go happy but not a big win, but win is still win, so, people still win with varies amount.

You are right that there are handful of gamblers that win and are happy. But you are very wrong calling most of these winners as system abusers. It is rare to find hackers. If you noticed, there are only few issues (hackings and system abuse) to none on Crypto-Games, Primedice, Bitsler and other popular gambling sites.

I did gamble many times and since I started embracing crypto currencies I am sure I am positive overall. In 3 to 4 years of crypto gambling I think I am up by more or less $10,000 in estimate.

Even if I lost I am also still happy since I only gamble when I feel the crave to have fun with it. Because being a gambler is not a good reason to earn money.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will eat John McAfee's dick if BTC doesn't trade above $100K by end of 2019. on: May 15, 2019, 01:48:54 PM
Maybe this works for McAfee's thing.

http://www.grouprecipes.com/59411/penis-stew.html

Penis Stew

Ingredients
1 penis, ram's or bull's or McAfee's
3 tbls. oil
1 large chopped onion
2 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped
1 tsp coriander seeds, crushed
1 tsp salt
freshly ground black pepper

How to make it
Scald the penis, then drain and clean (doesn't say how you clean a penis. Not sure a guy would know since this penis is, well . . . never mind).

Place the penis in a saucepan, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil.

Remove any scum, then simmer for 10 minutes.

Drain and slice.

Heat the oil in a large skillet.

Add the onion, garlic, and coriander and fry until the onion is golden.

Add the penis slices and fry on both sides for a few minutes.

Stir in the remaining ingredients with a good grinding of pepper, add enough water to cover, and bring to a boil.

Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for about 2 hours, or until tender.

Add a little water from time to time if necessary to prevent burning.

"Press release
15/05/2019

David Ruscoe and Russell Moore from Grant Thornton New Zealand were yesterday appointed liquidators of Cryptopia

Despite the efforts of management to reduce cost and return the business to profitability, it was decided the appointment of liquidators was, in the best interests of customers, staff and other stakeholders.

The liquidators are focused on securing the assets for the benefit of all stakeholders. While this process and investigations take place, trading on the exchange is suspended.

“Given the complexities involved we expect the investigation to take months rather than weeks.”

The liquidators are also working with independent experts and the relevant authorities with regards to the company’s obligations.

Grant Thornton will be contacting all customers and suppliers about its appointment in the next few days.

Further enquiries, please email liquidation@cryptopia.co.nz"

After this press release, I guess I will have a harder time retrieving my account then since I lost my phone (2FA). I just hope that if ever time comes when distribution of assets to its clients is necessary, they will just ask wallets addresses thru email.
4  Economy / Gambling / Re: SafeDICE.com ★ Bitcoin Dice ★ Monero ★ 0.5% Edge ★ Fast Cashout ★ Since 2014 on: May 13, 2019, 03:34:57 PM
I've visited many many gambling websites throughout my life. I played Dice on a lot of websites but this has never come to me at SafeDice.com. I will visit this site right now and if I really like it then add it to my list of favorite gambling websites.

The best tip on finding good gambling sites are reviews here in bitcointalk. There are too many web sites that are good looking but what are important things to ponder are the fairness and its support.

Try to read above the comments. Especially the original post too where the poster is already red tagged.

It is kind of tempting but it would be hard betting into something without knowledge.
If you follow a good tipster it's not difficult to bet on a different sport(imo).

It would be great if an outright on Dota 2 is available on major tournaments.
They did have lines on major tournaments but were removed because it is currently on going. Most sportsbook never bring their lines back once the tournament already started.

Thanks for the response man.

By the way, I cannot browse NBA markets. I keep trying since 12 hours ago. I do have slower internet connection right now but I have no problem with the other sports.

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories and Possible Solutions on: March 19, 2019, 04:29:14 PM
Gambling addicts weren't that easy to find, maybe at the last end user explodes. Only by that time it is possible to know that the particular person has got addicted. From my personal experience it is really hard to make a person get out of addiction with advices or other suggestions. Until the user himself believes it isn't possible to eliminate addiction.

A gambling addict may really have a hard time solving it alone. A good solution is turning oneself to a rehabilitation center. This way, the participation and interaction with other patients will enhance themselves.
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: John McAfee, A Cryptocurrency Enthusiast, To Run For US Presidency Despite IRA C on: January 24, 2019, 11:55:34 AM
Based on his reputation such as promoting "unhackable" hardware wallet & launching joke ICO, i doubt John McAfee would be a good president even if he favor cryptocurrency.

If US Presidency is in 2021, we can see one more proof whether he suitable as US president if Bitcoin price doesn't reach $1.000.000 and he fulfill his bet (eat his own dick)

I somewhat agree with your statement. He is one of the strongest voice of cryptocurrency world but that certainly doesn't mean that he will be a good president. He is very freckle minded and impulsive in taking decisions, a lot of his tweets prove that fact! But considering that a person like Mr. Donald Trump is the current president of US, anything can happen!

I don't think Mr. McAfee is one of the strongest voice of cryptocurrency. He only made an impact before but in few months only. People used to believed to him being a founder of a software company and a businessman. But later on people realized he is only about hyping.

So far, i still have this token in my wallet. Sadly, i've missed the bull market at that time when the price hit at almost $3. Now, this token has no value and i think i will just keep it as a collection in my wallet.

I was not surprised when I saw the free tokens increased to $3 and then disappeared and died
The developer only wants to get a lot of money, after getting what he wants then he leaves
Maybe he is planning a new project  Cool

The founder of this coin was a popular Indian trader. I used to follow him too at telegram and facebook for some insights. A very reliable person. I maybe mistaken but I saw him posting to support this coin during the launch. There was no ICO and this was distributed by airdrops. I felt sad for those that lost money trading this token.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: December 24, 2018, 10:21:54 AM
It was about to flippen with XRP but all of a sudden we got a XRP pump out of nowhere. Basically it was mostly these 2 coins which almost hit 20% gain in about a day.

From what I understand the pump might of either been due to the Ripple CEO saying "We are more decentralized than ETH and BTC" or that Binance added some XRP trading pairs.

The 2 Coins After BTC - XRP & ETH have been gaining mass adoption recently. The Adoption is massive people have been showing keen interest in the digital assets for the top 3 coins Also there has been news from SBI Bank for the adoption of top 3 coins on their new exchange called VCTRADE. Binance recently added XRP as a base Pair Also there are major banks and industries coming forward to create platforms for the top 3 coins.

That listing of a separate XRP market in Binance is big. Actually I haven't seen XRP taking down ETH for long. January is the last month XRP is at number 2 otherwise ETH will take the second spot again this month. The great fork is coming soon. Cool

Imagine if Tottenham continues these kinds of big success and will continues to play even better. Maybe they can really have a good chance on taking the top spots. My money is still on Liverpool for now. Grin
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ☑ [ANN] ☰ [ ICO 06|04|2017 ] ☰ Humaniq — Discover the unbanked on: December 24, 2018, 09:38:06 AM
Am expecting Humaniq to have hit the TVs, lots of advertisement. I expect it during the world cup, champions league, countries presidential debate, dstv in africa etc. They need awareness on every media, it should send a suspense to the community of focus. It is been more than a year and the projects is not on everyone's lips as an on-ground project from cryptocurrency. The space should be creating a direct influence globally.

Humaniq is more focused on poor countries like in Africa. I am not sure if they have some advertisements especially on local televisions there but I am not sure if it would be worth it to pay huge advertisement fees on World Cup when its target are the poor unbanked locations.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: December 16, 2018, 04:52:57 PM
I am happy to see LTC is finally got succeed to replace BCH and take good position. LTC is still undervalued in coming days we will see more amazing results wen it will get more bigger market cap.
Replacing BCH. I don't think so.
Litecoin created and being widely recognised as a silver, whilst bitcoin is a gold.
Therefore, I think that it will be more relevant to call Litecoin as a substitute of Bitcoin, not Bitcoin Cash.

Agreed with you Litecoin is legit project it don't have any comparison with scam BCash. As Charlie also saying it is younger brother of BTC and will remain under the umbrella of this. Now it moving with more power and sooner it will make surprise.

Litecoin is making a good upward movement today. Are we seeing something big in the next days to come? Probably yes?
19  Economy / Economics / Re: A Public Market is Turning 'Cashless' in the Philippines on: December 12, 2018, 04:08:41 AM
'The new Marulas Public Market in Valenzuela City is the first-of-its-kind ‘DigiPalengke’ initiative in Northern Metro Manila where an entire marketplace is equipped to accept mobile cashless payments.'

https://pia.gov.ph/news/articles/1015376

--

This is quite interesting since even a public market where most of the time common folk buy their everyday needs is accepting digital payments. While this is not entirely related to cryptocurrency, it's as if the people are slowly seeing the convenience and security cashless payments offer to their everyday lives. For years, scan-to-pay stores are just confined within the walls of malls and luxurious places but it seems that we're slowly bringing it to the masses and eventually, it will be the norm to pay only with our smartphones and pre-loaded accounts--and in the future, possibly even cryptocurrencies.

in my opinion, scan-to-pay and no cash payments have started to develop in Q2 2018, not only in Manila, in other developing countries that this has been applied even to some traditional markets. The use that is quite easy and efficient is very beneficial for both parties

Of course. What do you think? In more technology developed countries like Korea should be more advance when it comes to payments too. The news is just part of how fast the Philippines is turning into a cashless country. Lazada and Shopee are also getting more popular especially this Christmas season.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: December 12, 2018, 03:13:21 AM
I have several Waves in my wallet, maybe for this reason I always get tokens from unknown wallet, but some of them have values and not. So I want to ask, how to determine the token is valid or not? because there seems to be a lot of spam tokens (made only for jokes).

Hello Meggie Diaz. Everyone can create a token on the platform and make masstransfer. You can read description of the asset and make your own research. But always be careful. This article will be useful for you:
https://docs.wavesplatform.com/en/waves-client/security/spam-transactions.html

Sincerely, Waves Community Manager

It would be awesome if we could upload our logo's to the DEX exchange for our custom tokens. This should have been an update already. However, I am very happy with using WAVES platform to accelerate my start-up. We are going all the way with press, etc. We have big plans, and our logo being visible for our custom asset on the DEX would be ideal.

Hi AdMarcam. This is a well known wish. And it will be implemented in the near future. Thank you for your support and stay with us.

Best wishes, Waves Community manager.

And maybe there is also a feature like favorite coins so we can separate some coins to those unnecessary ones. The spam of garbage tokens are very rampant and covered the good ones.
