What are you guys mining with your cube? Smiley

Yeah....,and what is the say best 3 pools that payout in whatever?

I"m just mining to P2Pool. Got a Rasberry PI on order so I can run my own P2Pool as there isnt one in my country.
Same here. I tried mining with multiple algos on NiceHash, then multiple algos/coins on MiningPoolHub, then mining Dash on Suprnova, and now I'm only mining Dash on P2Pool. Seems like the best bang for my hash, especially considering the recent price development of Dash.

Hey man,

Great job on setting-up and running this pool. I'm considering pointing my Baikal Cube to your Dash pool, but I have a quick question first. On the pool's page you write:

Quote
2017-3-24: add /0.08 after username if u have baikail mini ( tweak diff )
What do you recommend adding to the username in my case (Baikal Cube 310 MH/s)? And, in the example above, should I write my username like this:
Code:
Xv236XFG45q5SCGE2xTsVmAQQ49Gf1WhZW/0.08
(just an example, although this is my real Dash address).

Thank you in advance and keep up your great work! *thumbs up*

did you guys pass? did most people pass on this?

my 300mh is getting like 7 usd a day...with the double difficulty I expect....gotta be about a year to ROI at best now

I'm getting same results here. About USD $7 per day with my Cube 300 MH/s after the first two days running. My strategy to shorten the ROI time is to keep the mining earnings in Dash and to wait until the price bounces back to 0.1 BTC/DASH (or higher). Then selling Dash for Bitcoin. That way the ROI time can be shortened by a third or more. Just my two satoshi…
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL - WHAT IS GOING ON? on: April 25, 2017, 07:06:36 PM

If you actually pay there scam price you are paying at least $1100 for a single cube before shipping.  The ROI is gone it will take you 177 Days to ROI at $1100 not including shipping if the coin remains at current value.. It already dropped once quite a bit.
Excuse me, I am not following. How's that $1100 for a single Cube before shipping? When I ordered my Cube from Baikal (yes, also via email, not via the website) last week, I paid $799 for the machine itself plus $50 for the Express shipment with DHL from China to Sweden. The Cube was shipped the next day (Friday) and arrived at my place on Monday. I paid with BTC, BTC0.7383 altogether.

I am not saying that the current situation is the same as it was last week, when I ordered. Reading all the stories that people share about the weirdness of their Skype communication, non-responsive email address, etc, makes me extremely concerned. I wanted to order another Cube after I had received my first one, but I don't dare to do it now, under the current circumstances.

But I want to understand the line of reasoning that you used when you said you would be paying $1100 for a single Cube. Thank you in advance!

I've just got my Cube. Ordered and paid it last Thursday morning (European time), got it shipped on Friday, received it today (Monday afternoon). Got it unpacked, set-up and running in less than 15 minutes. Now hashing happily at 310 MH/s. I will share the unpacking and setting-up video, if anyone's interested.

Would love to see it! Thanks for sharing

Anybody else pay for a baikal mini 300 yet never got delivery confirmation and being ignored by baikal??

I sent 0.72182 BTC  to address 1GHFCBgT9ouScAz95ERSbSpk2EKiS3RBbX within minutes after my order was confirmed. Order shows unpaid and baikal will not respond to my emails or repeated questions on skype

I paid BTC0.7383 to 1EoX4arqRPRngtkLMvrHv2boEbPCQmvpS1 then sent transaction confirmation to Baikal via email. Had it answered quickly and had a follow-up email conversation with some additional questions, all answered promptly. It was yesterday. Then this morning (Friday) I got a message from DHL informing me that my Cube was on its way from China. So far so good… *fingers crossed*

Hello folks,

Those of you reading this thread and running any model of Baikal ASIC miners – would you please be so kind to share your personal recommendations on what pool it's best to mine and what algo/coin. I'm waiting for my Cube to arrive and the best idea I've got so far is to sell its hash power with X11 on NiceHash. I'm sure there are better and more profitable solutions that that, though! Please share your view and tips.

Sincerely,
Oleg

Does anyone know when the next batch will be released?
Baikal's representative wrote to me: “by the end of the month” in an email. So hopefully in two weeks or so from now.

Same 300mh unit? Or something new?

I guess they were talking about the Cube. Here's the full quote:

The cube was sold out, please wait for next batch on the end of the month.

It would be cool if they built a new quad out of Cubes, similar to the "old" quad with 4 Minis. That machine would be a killer!

Right now getting just under 4usd per day mining MUE. So ya it's still chugging away pretty good. Not too long ago the little bugger was making near 8 bucks a day when dash had gone thru the roof.

Sorry, is it Baikal Mini you are talking about? If so, then its current profitability does look good, considering its original price of $300. I bought a Bitcoin miner for the same price ($300) six months ago and it's getting about $2 per day today, which I'm still happy with. So yes, Baikal's miners seem at least twice as good by comparison.

Guys, I'm sorry if this is a slight OT, but I was wondering: what is the maximum number of Cubes that can be powered with just one PSU? (please include a concrete example of a PSU model in your answer). My decision on how many Cubes I'd like to order might depend on this. Thank you in advance!

I've got some SP20. Let me know if interested.

pm'd, sorry for the slow replys im in the middle of moving XD

Good luck with the move! Let me know if you're still interested in SP30.

Id be interested in it at 0.1BTC maybe 0.15BTC in perfect working order with power supply but 0.3BTC is pretty much ebay prices

It's true, it is today's eBay prices. Which only proves that I'm not trying to overcharge you. The eBay prices last fall were around 0.5 btc. If you want 0.15 btc, then wait another three months. Then, in June or July, this miner will be offered for that price. But you will probably be asking to pay 0.05 btc for it then, right?  Wink

I'd like to reserve one Cube, thank you.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL - WHAT IS GOING ON? on: April 09, 2017, 12:03:04 PM
No PSU or cables are provided.
Just use a ATX PSU with a 100W minimum rating.
Looks like they are using the 6-pin PCIe connectors which mate to the cords on the ATX supply.

Could you please name a few PSU models that would work with this miner? I'm trying to google for one, but I'm drowning in the sea of tech specs and different interfaces (a noob here!).
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone want to do a Baikal Groupbuy? on: April 09, 2017, 11:51:05 AM
So is anyone organizing a group buy?  If so I'm down for 2 cubes.
Also can someone that has bought from this company before explain the process.  Such as how long does the shipping take?  Do we have to pay a customs fee on top of the miner cost?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thank you

I will be organizing another one, I am in communication with baikal
I'll be among the first to participate in that group buy. I am collecting bitcoin already.

Same (especially if we can get a discounted price for the group buy). I'm up for one Cube. Can pay with BTC.

Sorry, I obviously meant 4 TH/s, not 4 GH/s.  Grin I've now edited my original reply accordingly.
