Thanks Again.
3  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Help needed with running multiple slush stratum on one pc on: January 11, 2014, 11:39:14 AM
Hi Folks,

I have 4 asicminer blades running on one slush mining proxy exe pointed at btcguild.

What complete command lines do I need to run to run 4 separate mining proxies on one pc/server so that I can run one proxy for each blade ?

I have 4 proxies in the directory so I can find them labeled accordingly but the problem I am having is that apparently I have to use different ports for each one and I cant figure out how to do it by command.

I was hoping someone could type out the complete command line I need for each proxy to look at the correct port so that I can copy it into the window.

I know I have to change the port in the config page etc, but Im stumped with the actual command to change the port in the command window and what numbers I need to use for each port.

I tried the -gp option but that didnt work.

I am still very new to command line so please take it easy with the lingo Smiley

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks.

EDIT, figured it out, working now.

I used " -o stratum.btcguild.com -p 3333 -gp 18332 -sp 13333"
         " -o stratum.btcguild.com -p 3333 -gp 28332 -sp 23333"
         " -o stratum.btcguild.com -p 3333 -gp 38332 -sp 33333"
         " -o stratum.btcguild.com -p 3333 -gp 48332 -sp 43333"
added to the end of the target path in the shortcut of the individual proxies and changed the "ports" on the individual config pages for each blade to suit each proxy.

Hope this helps anyone stuck with the same problem.
4  Bitcoin / Pools / question about setting difficulty for workers on BTCGUILD on: January 11, 2014, 09:37:52 AM
Hi Folks,

I Just had a quick question if thats OK.

I have 4 blades running on btc guild, 3 overclocked V1 blades and 1 normal V2 blade.

I have them all running on one slush stratum proxy exe but pointed at btc guild.

When I had one blade (the V2) the proxy showed 8 difficulty and I set the one worker on btc guild to the same 8 difficulty.

But now when running all 4 blades the proxy shows 32 difficulty for each of the 4 workers, not 8 difficulty for each.

My question is what do I set the worker difficulty to on btc guild for each worker, 8 or 32 ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks.

can anyone else help ?

I am trying with the slush stratum but I cant get it to work.

What do I put into bfgminer to connect my blade to eligius ?

I am not versed in the whole command line thing and need the basics to try and make this work.

any help would be great.

Thanks for the reply sidehack.

I dont understand, where do I type in the mining_proxy.exe -h command ?

When i open the mining-proxy.exe software it just starts mining on slush pool straight away, how do I input that command ?
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / help with setting up asicminer blade for pools other than slushs on: December 05, 2013, 04:37:22 AM
HI Folks,
I have an asicminer blade setup to mine on slushs pool using the stratum proxy from their site.
Everything works great, 10.9 ghs etc.
I had my friend setup the configuration page for the blade.
Im a newb when it comes to all the ip setup, ports etc so I had him do that and the stratum proxy software also.

I want to change pools as slushs is taking way too long to complete blocks.

I downloaded bfgminer but dont understand how to get it to work.

I need a step by step explanation on what to put in the bfgminer command lines for eligius and what to put in my configuration page.

I think I need to keep the config page the same except for the username and password but I could be wrong.

I basically need an idiots guide on how to make it work.

I tried going through the asicminer blade setup post by dogie but that just got me even more confused and is miles long.

I tried searching now for 2 days on the site and in that post but couldnt find anything that helps me as i dont really understand most of the terms, a lot of the info seems to be for people that really understand command line stuff and up until now I was mining with guiminer and my gpu so its all pretty much chinese to me.

I am sure there are other people that need the info also.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks.

14  Other / Beginners & Help / need some help with these weird transactions please on: March 28, 2013, 11:57:48 AM
Hi Folks,
this is my first post here.

i recently purchased some bitcoin, 3 coins 2 weeks ago and 5 coins 2 days ago.

I received them fine in my wallet (bitcoin qt 0.8.0)

I just sent 0.1 bitcoin to my friends bets of bitcoin account and 0.1 to my bets of bitcoin account.

I checked the blockchain to see how they were going and something weird showed up, here is the link,
https://blockchain.info/address/1KT95osV36cLCzwkCvjkvtQP4vdAegfUuG

my address is the one ending in fuug, as you can see there shows 2 transactions but with 2 receiving addresses in each transaction.
You can see that $9 (0.1 bitcoin)was sent to one address and $441 (4.89 bitcoin) to another in the same transaction and in the other transaction again $9 (0.1 bitcoin) and $261 (2.89 bitcoin) was sent to the other address in that transaction.

I only sent 0.1 bitcoin in each transaction but it shows that $720 was subtracted from my total and sent to these other 2 addresses and that my final balance is $1.73 on the blockchain site, i dont understand whats going on, how can those other addresses receive those dollars from my address but it still says that i have 7.819 bit coin in my wallet ?

am i missing something ?

if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
