2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin ever drop below 2500 ? on: August 13, 2017, 05:02:34 PM
That looks so far from now. I think we will never see sub-2500$ prices for now, ever. At least people that did not entered in early will not have a magic second chance, and better it that way, world is for people of action, not long thinkers.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will touch 1200$ in January 2017 on: August 13, 2017, 03:38:50 PM
I am feeling a bit nostalgic when I look back to this thread, when price was just above 1000$. We are now above 4000$, that is simply incredible...

For history, what I said on January 2nd :

No, I don't think we will reach 1200$ by 2017. The rise has been too fast, we will get down pretty soon and pretty hardly. Let's tell it, we've all started dreaming again, even me. The newcomers are now having the feeling that they are in the "ATH story" that so many people are telling again and again. But to be frank, in that ATH, the most memorable is the hard downtrend that followed. I don't think we'll escape that patern. I greatly hope that I'm wrong, because my savings would be worth a lot more, but I think I'm right.

History proven me wrong, and I am glad of this.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think cryptocurrencies have the potential to overtake regular currencies? on: August 13, 2017, 03:30:11 PM
They could not ban crypto-currencies, because the thin string that keep them to power would be broken in case they start doing it. But they have the potential to take the whole online payment area.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Is Bitcoin's Value So Volatile? on: August 13, 2017, 03:24:21 PM
At the time you posted, rortan75, the volatility was nothing compared to what it is now. For now the volatility is very high because of the hysteria around the price. Price can range of 100$ in a single hour.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price BTC after 23 August? on: August 12, 2017, 02:44:13 PM
Yeah, I agree with you, 4500$ seems feasible by August 23rd. However, I do not think it will stay that strong long, because all of this caused by a SegWit hype I guess. We should come back to around 3500$ I think after the fever has gone.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How high will Litecoin go? on: August 12, 2017, 02:40:16 PM
Considering Charlie Lee is back in the game and there is a very strong roadmap ahead, I call for at least 150$ by next year at the same date.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will banks start a war against bitcoin on: August 12, 2017, 02:34:05 PM
They already did. From my memory, there is several major banks, including Central European Bank, which clearly said to people that it was dangerous to invest in Bitcoin, and that they should focus on their investment plans with ridiculously low yields.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH wallet doesn't sync the last 244 blocks! Help! on: August 12, 2017, 02:30:15 PM
Back in the day had the same problem and I switched with to MyEtherWallet, telling myself that should come from my poor connection, but it seems it was not the case.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is going to challenge bitcoin as to value transfer on: August 12, 2017, 02:27:36 PM
To transfer big value ? None. All the other ones have a way too volatile price to be not even a serious contender, but just a contender.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this Why Satoshi Left? on: August 12, 2017, 10:11:32 AM
C people do not left people if you agree with them as you seem to think. If there is a correlation between those guys and Satoshi, it means they simply killed him and thrown his body into the ocean.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 50k$ in which coin would make you a millionaire in 1-2 years? on: August 12, 2017, 10:08:52 AM
For me Ethereum. This is one of the few things I truly believe in. Price will increase again and again, and this combined with Bitcoin price increase, you will hit your twenty times increase.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best upcoming ICO finding websites? on: August 12, 2017, 10:06:05 AM
Coingecko.com shows a great variety of ICOs, so I like it, because you have a very good view of all the ICOs currently happening.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't regret take action now! on: August 12, 2017, 10:03:58 AM
I am 100% sure at least two new world-scale altcoins, so outside ICOs, which are tokens, will emerge in the coming year. Last year we had Waves and ZCash, who knows what we will have this year ? All you will have to do is to not htink too much when it will come and invest. This is the only way to get rich.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where can we trade Waves Tokens? on: August 11, 2017, 03:04:58 PM
Is there any place to trade Waves tokens with other people?   We could start a thread here.

On the WAVES DEX or Tidex.com

Both are crappy. Volume is awesomely low. Selling my ZrCoin there would represent about half of the daily volume Roll Eyes... I am surprised ZrCoin is not on Bittrex.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: $25,000 to $50,000 prediciton in CNBC on: August 11, 2017, 02:58:53 PM
CNBC is the TV that sees Russian everywhere ? If so do not listen to them, they are FUD master. Elsewhere, sorry to them. But in any case, that is still more free publicity for Bitcoin.
17  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: August 11, 2017, 02:51:23 PM
That is what I am doing. God bless Satoshi Nakamoto for releasing Bitcoin at this precise moment, because now everything is simply perfectly timed for me. I think I will save the maximum until 2022.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Consequences of mining pool controlled by a single country? on: July 02, 2017, 09:44:38 AM
It can do nothing for two reasons :

-There is no pool big enough to influence or force anything on its own.

-If miners disagree with a proposal of the pool, they will simply change of pool.

The country will just collect the fees, but that's all.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / If someone really famous started an altcoin, would it be a threat to Bitcoin ? on: January 30, 2017, 09:39:21 PM
In case someone famous created an altcoin, but not someone famous like Linus Torvald or whatever obscure cryptographist, no someone that is mainstream, like Rihanna, would it be a threat to Bitcoin ? You could be sure that masses of people would come to use Rihanna's payment system, as it would be branded. Or at the inverse would that be the door for millions of people to know what Bitcoin is and make them understand that this is a great progress ?
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin be discussed in Davos? on: January 17, 2017, 07:05:46 AM
People attending this meeting are the ones behind the actual crisis. Bitcoin being invented to counter-attack this crisis, making them getting interested in Bitcoin has absolutely no interest, and we would be just wasting our time. Moreover, good luck to get a journalist willing to ask this question for us !
