We're not sure how long deposits will be disabled, but we're tradable on 2 other exchanges if you're mining. Check out Tradesatoshi.com and Novaexchange. We're actually seeing decent volume on Trade Satoshi, with us being their 2nd highest volume coin usually.
I know that that's no fix or solution to your question about Poloniex, and it would be ideal if miners were able to deposit into Poloniex. However, since we can't control this, depositing on the other two exchanges are possibilities.

Exactly. The blockchain actually has been somewhat stabilized, transactions just can take a couple hours to get through. There's no risk of losing your 1CR if you send it through the blockchain though. We're moving full-speed ahead towards our online arcade, set to release on October 20th!

Okay, I'm glad to hear that you're on top of that. There is so much potential for collaborations and partnerships with other online gaming arcades once the blockchain has switched mining algos. I'm looking forward to it.

Just catching up on the more recent pages in this thread... So 1CR deliberately had a difficulty algorithm with wild variation to try to make it difficult for multipools to jump in and out at will, but then the dev was scratching his head and wondering why the blockchain was so unstable, and has now left? 01-Oct-2016 05:02:31 height: 59099 difficulty: 79.15079118 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:11:21 height: 59100 difficulty: 85.65048474 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:19:39 height: 59101 difficulty: 79.14071013 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:28:29 height: 59102 difficulty: 85.5264808 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:30:10 height: 59103 difficulty: 79.14033681 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:31:51 height: 59104 difficulty: 93.79310345 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:33:32 height: 59105 difficulty: 94.44253048 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:35:12 height: 59106 difficulty: 94.98901597 tx: 2 01-Oct-2016 05:36:55 height: 59107 difficulty: 95.41362876 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:38:37 height: 59108 difficulty: 95.89957872 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:40:20 height: 59109 difficulty: 535.78726102 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:42:02 height: 59110 difficulty: 612.12938388 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:43:45 height: 59111 difficulty: 730.79621175 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:45:26 height: 59112 difficulty: 872.7717161 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:47:06 height: 59113 difficulty: 1091.05355252 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:48:49 height: 59114 difficulty: 1474.92949195 tx: 1 01-Oct-2016 05:50:29 height: 59115 difficulty: 2272.82923174 tx: 1 04-Oct-2016 01:06:07 height: 59116 difficulty: 5118.25496285 tx: 3 04-Oct-2016 01:06:49 height: 59117 difficulty: 16.45595371 tx: 2 04-Oct-2016 01:06:53 height: 59118 difficulty: 1.60244028 tx: 1 04-Oct-2016 01:06:54 height: 59119 difficulty: 0.15260359 tx: 1 04-Oct-2016 01:06:55 height: 59120 difficulty: 0.01451165 tx: 1 04-Oct-2016 01:06:55 height: 59121 difficulty: 0.0013803 tx: 1 04-Oct-2016 01:06:49 height: 59122 difficulty: 0.00024414 tx: 1
It really is all over the place - staying relatively stable for several blocks, then suddenly leaping from 95 to 5118 in the space of 8 blocks, then dropping back to minimum difficulty a few blocks later (an even more massive change). I think adding PoS could help, since it will allow the network to continue to carry transactions when PoW difficulty is stuck at a high level. It would also make PoW attacks more difficult. A fixed PoS reward of 1CR would ensure that the supply stays linear, and more consistent (since PoS is far less likely to get stuck) That is EXACTLY what we need. We need someone with blockchain knowledge who can help us fix this. Is that you, or would you please be able to direct us to someone who can? There is a strong 1CR community, full of people who are able to help us test and code games, write blog posts etc. All we need is a stable blockchain and we're golden.

We're taking alphatesters for our first arcade game! If you're interested, please email mail@1-credit.com. You will have first access to the game and help us evaluate and improve all features. Also, we need to get the blockchain stabilized as soon as possible. I'm discussing a partnership with gaming site that has focused on paying out bitcoins in the past, but they have ran into some difficulty working with bitcoin lately. They would like to switch over to 1CR, but we need to ensure that our blockchain is stable enough to handle frequent transactions.

Dnaelor, I have lots of people asking about getting in on the slack group. Would you please open it up to the public? Programmers and game developers, and content creators would love to get involved on there. It's a place for them to collaborate as well, since the programmers and game developers have to work together to create a payout system for the game.
Also, I've found someone who would like to tackle the challenge of stabilizing the blockchain.

Okay, a little update from my end. I'm in contact with a game developer as well as learning the capabilities of buying code for a game and changing it myself. I'm continuing on full speed ahead on the front-end side, have multiple websites in planning and development (things like a blog site for sending out news and a site that serves as a hub that links to reputable 1CR mining pools).
We're going to plan a rough-draft roadmap and see how the community likes it and discuss/debate what improvements can be made.
We should have a fully playable game within 2-3 weeks, probably sooner rather than later. It won't be able to pay out 1CR until the blockchain is fixed, so that has to be a priority.
I think we should hardfork (or hire someone who can do that for us) so that the coins from the attacker are rendered useless. After that, we'll have a strong blockchain with many miners making it too difficult to attack.
Is there anyone here who can take over the back-end work of stabilizing the blockchain?

I'm working really hard to find game developers who can partner with 1CR, I've already found one! They will help us build the games (or gaming platform) that will hold 1CR.
I'm talking to a team of website designers (website design is their job, whereas it's just my hobby), and I may get them set up to provide the website for us. They'll be able to provide a website that will rival that of big gaming corporations and help provide our users and adopters with a great place to spend/use/earn 1CR.
Sunday, there will be another release. This is something I've been working on with a team member for a while now, and we're excited to unveil it.

Can't wait to release the two exchanges with whom we're partnering! One is a large exchange in Brazil according to Alexa (ranks websites in terms of internet traffic).
We're updated on Coinmarketcap, huge thanks to those guys! I'm in talks with a game developer AND a designer (two separate people), so making progress on that front. We have a mining pool set up it looks like, and I have someone working on a great project that will be unveiled Sunday or Monday.
After all of this, I'm getting to work on the roadmap and would love help with that. The roadmap should be released sometime later next week. So much news, so much activity! 1CR is back!
While things like the roadmap and exchanges seem like short-term bids, I really am beginning to focus on long-term growth strategies for 1CR. This includes the work with game developers and seeking out existing games to partner with.

|
Thanks for the heads up! I've submitted an order to Coinmarketcap to fix that. They're very responsive.
|
|
|
So we're up in that mining pool?
|
|
|
Are you able to change the algo yourself (or someone else without one of the earlier dev's permission?)
Also, do you also have access to the source? I've reached out to a mining pool owner, and he needs our source to link up 1CR to mining, although we probably would want to wait until we've switched algos.
Furthermore, dnaleor, I want to extend a HUGE thank you to all the back-end work that you're doing. I can imagine that that work sometimes goes unappreciated, but I'm very thankful and I'm sure that everyone else is as well. I recognize the work you're doing (a lot of the technical stuff goes over my head, but I'm reading books to learn!) and it's really helping to add strong and steady value to the 1CR project. Keep it up, you're making us all extremely proud and amazed.

|
|
I'm all for changing the algo, but we have to get in touch with some of the founders of the coin, right? I'm willing to put in money too to pay a developer for a hardfork. Once the 1CR blockchain is stabilized, we're prepared to start competing with the other gaming coins.
We'll be aggressive in gaining traction.

Awesome! Can we get this referenced on coinmarketcap? Once some buys and sells get going on tradesatoshi, I'll submit the ticket.

Update: We're unfrozen. I think that quick maintenance gives a lot of confidence to people who have been watching 1CR for a while now. Thanks to the Poloniex team for being so quick with that!
|
|

The market is temporarily frozen on Poloniex, the mods say that it is "under maintenance." Whoever's reaching out to work with Poloniex and helping them improve our blockchain, thank you!! This is a good sign ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Improvements all around, as I like to say. Also, it seems that the market was frozen at 2:00 UST, indicating that it was a scheduled maintenance. In the mean time, check out 1-credit.com! It's our "Coming Soon" website!
