I don't understand the pattern. What does the last column mean?

If I install vanitygen, what should computer hardware spec ?

Please someone explain me step by step.

Thank you.

1) Are you trying to use vanitygen to solve this puzzle?  If so you are using the wrong tool - unless you plan to modify the code to make a program to work on this puzzle.

2) If you just want to install vanitygen for the heck of it and need information about vanitygen I suggest you ask in the vanitygen thread.  This thread is about the BTC puzzle transaction.

3) Maybe you meant LBC instead of vanitygen?  You can ask about LBC in the LBC thread - not here.

Maybe he meant ndv/vanitygen.

Formula 358 doesn't seem relevant. It's obvious that if you substract n/128 (or something smaller) from n, the result will be close to n.
This is not a pattern.

Vanitygen should work on any hardware. Your hashrate will depend on the computing power.
4  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: New PoW method using factorization of large numbers. on: March 27, 2018, 10:32:44 PM
It's a challenging proposal.
Prime numbers and numbers having small factors can be ruled out easily. Primality test is much faster than factoring and there are algorithms which are very fast in finding small factors (see elliptic curve factoring). so, you could just pick numbers with specified factor sizes.
This could also lead to finding new factoring algorithms.

Zpool web page says:
"Non-BTC payouts depend on that coin being mined as your BTC balance is traded internally by our system to your currency of choice."
Does that mean that if you mine an algo and reguest payout in a specific coin your coins are first exchanged in BTC and then BTC is converted to the specified coin? Or it applies only to different coins in the same algo?

Good question. The statement says it's done internally but doesn't say whether it's done in 2 stages. Analyzing the code
would answer that.

But, as Crackfoo said many, many times he's not a coder so it's over his head. That's why I suggested analyzing the logs.
That is the job of the admin.

It's possible that coins get asigned initially a bigger value when they are placed at the exchange and then, when they are sold the value is adjusted to the real value.

Zpool profit estimates are way off! It seems only for sha256 coins!

I would like to know if I mine for a while and during that time no block is found, then when a block is found but I am not mining anymore do I get some percentage of the block reward?

Yes. Your share is based on how much total hash you have contributed to the block over the entire block time.

Thanks, and you mean strictly the block or the entire round?

I would like to know how the real time profit estimate is calculated...

may be residual shares... ?

Are you sure it's taken by the pool? There may be other losses...
And if the difficulty is oscillating then earnings will be less...

I can`t connect to zpool from miningrigrentals
sha256.mine.zpool.ca:3333

have you tried setting difficulty like d=8192 in the password field? The rig's description should mention minimal difficulty.

Can anyone explain me how I managed to get negative profit from placing an order on nicehash with a price of 1.06 BTC/PH/day to zpool showing average profit estimate 0.00148 mBTC/GHs/day ? (sha256, no errors, no rejects)

You lose on nicehash fee.

You lose on payment tx to NH.

24hr estimates are for the previous 24hr with x hashrate;  not 24 with X plus your rental.

Many ways to loose on a rental.  If t was as easy as you think, machines would be rented 247 by the same people all tihe time earning profit.

I also agree: argon2 is crap.  I don't mine it anymore.

its better to be seller in NH than a buyer, renting.

In NH order details I noticed delta is very big (some 10% - 20%) and is related to "extra rewards" which NH is paying to miners (quote) "due to fast job switching or disconnects". Strange.

nh charges a 3% fee.. plus zpool is 2%.
so you have to take the 5% off your profit to come out ahead.

also NH varies alot on their price.. i know yesterday they went up to 1.8 for a few .

I know about fees, and the NH price was steady for most of the order's execution. and 1.48 is only avg for last 24h but the coins mined showed estimate profits in the range 1.20-1.50 which is consistent with the 1.48 avg. but 1.48 - 5% = 1.406 is far from 1.06

have you let the blue line drop all the way down?
some coins pend for awhile, even after a payout.

well, no, I was looking at shares %, meanwhile I placed another order (spent only 0,0013) and looked at more details, the speed showed at zpool was constantly lower than the speed measured at NH (example NH: 42THs - ZP: 37THs). anyway, I will wait more. thank you.
