been mining for an hour - but nothing on the pool website.  All my usernames match, I meticulously followed the guides and setup walkthroughs. So is my 300K PPD being wasted by the pool? Why isn't my username being matched and my PPD shown in the pool website? Am I cooking an extremely expensive OCed Titan for nothing? You haven't submitted any work units yet right? With an hour of folding I don't think it's possible. I am unfamiliar with this type of mining. I turned off the CPU mining as suggested in the guide and turned the GPU to "Full" and set to core_17 process. It is bouncing around between 290k-300k on the app, says 12% on the progress bar, ETA 7 hours.... So my system has to run flawlessly overclocked for 8.5 hours before work is submitted at all? What if I crash after having done 5 hours of that work? Poor system if it requires 9 hour stretches to complete before work is "turned in." IMHO. miners crash. Am I understanding your observation correctly and this new mining system? If you crash, there are checkpoints saved if you look at the log file in the f@h client. So the f@h client will just resume from the last checkpoint. The system has been in place since 2000 (9 years before bitcoin came out) and it works. It's not a mining system but a folding system. I have done more research and understand better. Thank you all. I think since I have mined before, I would also like to try the investor route of supporting the coin. Folding seems just like mining from my perspective. How does one participate as an investor to donate 2.0 BTC and get 20k CureCoin, and then participate in PoS minting? I see it has developers(given coins in pre-mine), miners(earn coins by processing transactions), folders(earn coins for doing the science of solving protein folding problems), and investors(earn coins by investing and then securing the coin with PoS minting). There is a guide to everything but investing and PoS. How do I participate as an investor as well as a folder? This is a great use for Nvidia cards, but the PoS option seems rather attractive as well. |

Unless it is distributed (PROVEN BY VOLUME) there should be no fake market cap.
I would buy a NXT clone, but the scam distribution ruins it for me. I will not participate in a scam like this to enrich a few greedy sick gluttons and their stealing friends - what did the NXT leader just steal - $250,000.00??? That is more than your daily average volume.
Guess he could not get his BTC by selling without crashing NXT.

litecoin will not lose 2nd place anytime soon. Although the other alts want you to believe it will. The thing is btc and ltc have reached a place where they do not really need to constantly think up new fads to stay above the others or even tread water. The other alts soon sink if they stop coming up with new ideas.

That is big boy stuff. LTC does not need to shill here like less accepted coins do, you pretty much nailed it. Wake me up when car dealers and the Las Vegas strip is taking NXT or DRK. exactly LTC was lucky enough to become the silver to btc gold. It is now linked to BTC and has a lot of mainstream attention. Other good coins who think they can rest on their laurels are wrong. I am big on LTC but i am also into a lot of other alts. I can not spell it out enough to them that they can not sit their waiting to rise to the top. They are still very very reliant on keeping up with the latest fads and need constant development. Wish i had cashed a lot more alts out into btc and ltc. A LOT more. However some other alts will have merit but yes btc and ltc i think are the ones that will see mainstream adoption way before the rest. where are mec, wdc, digi now?? nowhere. However had they have jumped on the POS, ANON fad wagon they would be right up there near the top again. They could rise to near the top of the alts but again LTC is never going to be under threat because it does the job it needs to do already. It does not have to bow to the whims of alt miners and the alt community. They are a tiny proportion of people, btc and ltc concern themselves with the bigger picture now. No other coins have that luxury atm. Even ripple seems to have bowed out of the race for now. Scrypt asics will solidify LTC not damage it as others think. Just like sha asics did for BTC. Once you're invested in asics you're invested in crypto, that money never leaves crypto again. gpu mining is not the same. Something radical could always come out that is so different from what we have then it could do what others have not been able to. Guess we have to wait and see. Litecoin is the only coin other than Bitcoin to actually develop its own infrastructure and support its own coin with its own hardware. A huge milestone. |

As i bought most of my nxt at January I was infinitely scammed by initial stakeholders! The odd thing is even i was scammed i am sitting on a 100% profit right now! I love this kind of scam!  You can't deny $250,000 theft right now from leader of NXT. Shows what type of people they are, and reinforces their launch was a scam designed to make a few whales infinitely rich of a non-liquid non-trading fake market cap that is on paper only. Try selling your NXT and see the profit vanish because the market does not demand them. NXT = leader openly stealing hundreds of thousands and will probably go to prison. |

Now we now the public face of NXT just outright STOLE $250,000 in a trade he posted online.
Straight up said the guy had to send BTC and to trust him because he was the founder of NXT - then he kept $250,000 and did not send anything.
If NXT leaders are stealing outright to try to get any Bitcoins - what does it say about that scam infested rathole of a currency?
