1  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wirex- Bitcoin Debit Card | Buy Bitcoin | Mobile Banking | Send Money on: November 20, 2016, 05:11:00 PM
I deleted my previous message, as it contained only negative feedback and nothing really constructive, so instead of going to war, I'll follow MadGamer's advice and I'm going to post my issue here in hope someone can help me out.

To make a long story short, after many exchanges with Wirex support, I decided to stop trying to spend my funds on my plastic Wirex Mastercard in stores. So, I decided to buy BTC with my funds and use those instead. But it seems that I can't buy any BTC at all. Support is telling me the amount of BTC you load your card with counts toward your total so I tested with the minimum amount (0.01 BTC, which would still bring my total loaded / spent way lower than 2500) but it still won't let me buy 0.01 BTC. I mentionned this to the support and they never answered me.

Can we sort this out? Thank you. (gosha@e-coin : sending my registered email in private message).

replied to you in PM, mate, one way or another will sort it out

Yes, I got your message. Thank you gosha, I will continue to try to sort that out with the support and let you know guys how it went.

Alena from their support took on her to fix my issue. It took a few days but she kept me updated everyday so I felt my issue was taken seriously.

They are having issues with their bank. Their bank said I had reached my lifetime limits too even tho I never spent more than a few hundred dollars with my real card. Nevertheless, I contacted their support, Alena took my case and after a few days of working with the bank she successfully could transfer my funds in BTC so I could move them. I think Wirex is stuck with issues with the bank and they are trying hard to fix them.

It's been two weeks since I contacted support and my issue hasn't been fixed yet. It's like my funds are frozen, every single transaction I try get denied. They say it's on the bank side and that I have to wait. Your call guys but I would refrain from starting any business with Wirex for now if I were you.

RED FLAG! RED FLAG!

I have tried to pay at a gas station, paid there before at least 50 times, now the card was refused, but money are gone! Also, no transaction history whatsoever displayed, not even declined one.

Stay away, they are clearly having big, big troubles!

That's the kind of issue I'm facing right now too. Wirex says they are in contact with the bank trying to figure out what is going on.

It indeed doesn't make any sense. If you go to the Buy Bitcoin page , you could see how much Used and the limits are 100 BTC (a month) . If you didn't surpass those limits (which I don't think you did ) I'd suggest posting in the threads I gave you above , I'm sure you will get your issue sorted out.

As you guessed right, I didn't surpass my limit, in fact it showed I didn't use any at all lol :

Used
DAY
฿ 0.000000
MONTH
฿ 0.000000

Thank you for pointing that out and taking the time to help me MadGamer, I will go post on the link you suggested.

Support was perfect when they first launched but It's now little bit slow due to the fact that a lot of people are contacting them . You didn't say what kind of issues you are having but If It has something with loading then It's bank problems (as usual) and If you are using the web , try to use the phone app instead , It could work. Alternatively , post your problem in their first official thread or the second one .
The problem I'm having with the support is not really their response time, as they usually answer the same day or the day after .. it's more the fact that they never seem to take the time to read my messages.

At this point, since I cannot make any kind of in store purchase with my plastic card, I'm just trying to transfer my funds in BTC. But as you guessed it's not working. The support told me (after 4 or 5 messages trying to clear that up) that I busted my limit in BTC. I told them that I never bought any BTC with my funds before, so they said the amount I put on the card also count toward my total (which doesn't make any sense), so I said, ok then if what you said is true, I should be able to buy the minimum and guess what, I am not. They never replied to me when I mentionned this.

I just tried their iOS app to see if I could buy BTC from there, using my funds, but I can't, there doesn't seem to be an option for that. Thanks anyway for the advice.

I'm having difficulties (to say the least) with my card and I would like to know if I'm the only one in this situation.

Please let me know if any of you are using it successfully or not.

(Yes, I did contact their support several times).

Thank you !
