6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Who ordered the AMD Radeon VII? Lets make a list of Miners / Hashrates / Coins on: February 08, 2019, 02:23:58 PM
12x Vega 56 Rig = 24KHs cryptonight = 500MHs ETH / 1800W = 120€ electricity month (10cents/kwh)
6x Vega 7 = maybe 24KHs cryptonight = +-600MHs ETH /  +-900W?! = 60€ electricity month (10cents/kwh)

prices
sell 12x Vega 56 = 2700€
buy 6x Vega 7 = 4500€
------------------------------------
switch to vega 7 = 1800€
60€ less electricity / month = 30 months to equal

mhhhhhh.....

your electric per month should be $129.60   at 10 cents per kwh     30 days per month

Dont forget when etherium fork happens end of this month the reward goes down from 3 eth to 2 eth so even if these card get to 110 m/hs you will still be loosing a lot of $$$$

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.3 on: October 14, 2018, 12:24:24 PM
Hi
Claymore as i didnt know  what you were doing with this miner i have tried several other miners and firstly i find them a lot harder to set up than your miners  and secondly i cannot get the same speeds as i do with your miner   with your miner i hash at 840 h/s
with others it can be as low  as 690 h/s  so will be really happy if you upgrade your miner to use the new v8 alog will you be doing the cpu version as well as for no fee  tbh  i would rather you place it back and keep the support up  as i dont know your plans and tbh nothing to do with me  would like to see you continue with your miners and perhaps  a new one if something good comes out
i must say many thanks for your miners as ive been using them for prolly 2 years or more i like that they are simple for me to set
up and your continued supports of them  and they do kick the other miners arses.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.9 (Windows/Linux) on: August 29, 2018, 08:00:57 PM
Are there people still trying to mine Ethereum with GPUs? ETH is only profitable for ASICs now. We GPU miners would be mining for brake even on a top3 coin which, in a bullrun, can go 4 or 5 times its current price. With 1070s you're basically mining at best for 0,60$ a day hopping to make that 2,40$ if ETH goes over 1000$ ! That is before electricity. Even Claymore hasn't updated his miner for ages.

If you're in need of a good algo which works nice on GPUs and a steady more-than-a-coin project behind it, look into HEX algo (XDNA coin). Already trading at Cryptopia and Crypto-Bridge but it's yet in position 875 based on market cap!

There is no asic for daggerhashimoto algo
What are U talking about?

bitmain brought out an etherium asic miner back in april this year
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.9 (Windows/Linux) on: July 21, 2018, 11:29:18 AM
notice on dwarfpool

Old Claymore miners do not support mining after block 6000000. If you use claymore, upgrade to the last version.

what has happened to cause this
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 17, 2018, 09:44:28 AM
if you dig around the web a bit you will see that SQRL are aware that there are issues with the shipping fees and have promised to refund any difference if they can get it reduced
requires a bit of trust on customer part I know
i did email them about the shipping price and being charged tax still awaiting reply from that  have you got a link as to where SQRL as stating about the shipping costs
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 17, 2018, 08:07:15 AM
We must also take one more think in calculation, GPUs usually have 3 year warranty on them, this Acorns cost some nice money but question is will they ROI themselves in time before they die?
I can go to may local store to return GPU but for Acorn I don't know how much warranty I have and where to ship it if it start acting weird or die competently.
With 24/7 operation that is something that must be taken into account.

ps. Can someone tell me the difference between their shipping methods?

$129.54   International Economy   FEDEX
$181.30   International Priority   FEDEX
$75.00   Fixed   Flat Rate International

Remember its an xilinx fpga, so its not some cheap chinese asic core, you still see manny of their 10 year old fpga's arround working. Smiley

the shipping prices take the piss tbh $75 flat rate  for an item that weighs what 2 oz max to to the uk ive had loads of items shipped from the states to the uk and not at prices like that i think they are making a profit on the shipping as well  not a good sign  Also there shopping cart is trying to put tax on the total as its being shipped out of the states i dont pay tax on the item
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 16, 2018, 11:16:18 AM
trying to order a CLE 101   and the shopping cart is trying to charge me tax i live in the uk so shouldnt get charged tax and the cheapest shipping snail speed is $75 which is way overpriced for an item that prolly dont weigh more than  2 oz
i will get charged tax in the uk for the item and they put that on the shipping as well so will cost me around $328
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote Windows CPU Miner v4.0 on: May 07, 2018, 09:05:03 AM

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 【ANN】【PIRL】【PoW ETH Masternode Asic Resistant】 ►► NO PREMINE - NO ICO ◀◀ on: April 03, 2018, 10:34:44 PM
it's not a killer for sure... but still have efficency to price 3 times better than gpus additionaly some people claiming they sell it becouse bitmain just want to replace their farms with another generation f3 with better hashrate... it's rumors but few days ago e3 was rumor too.

My point is if someone claims that his chain is asic resistant and put funny logo on his page should put erfort to be trustful... blockchain with capitalization of 5 milion dolars is not a cheap watch bought for one dolar which is waterproof until you put it to the water....

depends on how many they have to sell tbh they say this is the first batch and how many is that 100  1000
or more as the coin is supposed to be asic resistant i feel the devs should do something about it, its obvious that bitmain have already been using them and theres supposed to be other companys out there working on them
the devs need to sort this now  and  not  in 6 months time
