Pre-emptive flags will make entire forum paralyzed.

And straw people present a fire hazard. You are free to send your money to scammers regardless of any flags so nobody is "paralyzed" here.
There are hundreds of ponzi and potential scam in the name of gambling and altcoins but you people are instead of spending your time on those, supporting the people who are targeting a business with baseless points. And this is where I am afraid you people are misusing the trust system which may result in paralyzing the decentralized environment.

  • No reference to owner / operator of the site. Almost impossible to take legal actions against them: Post (archived)

  • TOS which breake law. They make it impossible to file a police report without losing your funds: Post (archived)/list]
These are the basics of decentralization.

Are we allowing all the ICOs to collect this forum member's money after verifying their address ?

If you are okay with a services then use them else look for another services. Freedom of choice. Trying to bridge centralized things will collapse all the essence of decentralization.

Mr.Satoshi stayed anonymous and left anonymous for the same reason.[/list]

Do you have a link for the duckdice campaign not being allowed to have a Signature Campaign?

So, it seems yobit signatures were wiped then as they were not doing in favor of controlling spam. I guess that was a first time occurrence where both posters and the business were punished for spamming and failed to control spamming.

Scams aren't moderated.
In regards to the scam accusations the forum doesn't moderate that sort of thing.
In recent times, duckdice were prevented to host a campaign due to open scam accusations. Some years back when betcoin.ag were running a monthly sig. camp. both Lauda and Lutpin were warning people with the possibilities of negging participants.

I guess admin and mods may not do anything about yobit but it is time for DT people to take action against yobit promoters for supporting the scammers.

From what I've seen, they're not paying. So it's just some more free advertising until it dies out.
No. some people are claiming that they are getting paid without any problems. Probably case to case things here.
6  Other / Meta / What has changed in last 60 days to allow Yobit to have campaigns here ? on: June 29, 2019, 07:58:10 AM
I am seeing ALL the scam accusations against Yobit is NOT yet closed in an agreeable way.

I am not seeing Yobit hiring a manager to take care of controlling spam in all possible way.

But, people started wearing Yobit's signature and promoting them in each and every corner of this forum.

Participants' ban is temporary as they deserve another chances. But, what Yobit has done from their side to qualify to have campaigns here. The prohibition of Yobit to run campaigns should be extended until they clear themselves in all means.

There are lots of open scam accusations against Yobit. People who are all supporting/promoting a scammer might get eligible for red trust (and not obviously for spamming).
7  Economy / Services / Re: Stake.com - A signature campaign for everyone! Earn up to 0.1 BTC weekly on: February 18, 2019, 11:09:44 AM
It is an usual practice in this forum to have two types of signature campaigns for a same business at a time.

Here are the examples :

DA DICE Signature Campaign (2 campaigns under same thread)

If I remember correctly LuckyBtcCasino had 2 campaigns at a time with different threads.
8  Economy / Services / Re: Stake.com - A signature campaign for everyone! Earn up to 0.1 BTC weekly on: February 17, 2019, 06:45:24 PM
The manager should not be accepting spammers in the first place. I don't have time to do their job for them for free (busy enough with ChipMixer as it is), and even if I wanted to do their job, there's no spreadsheet with a list of participants.
You sound like too much biased into the past. Please remember this forum got enough active moderators to catch and punish spammers as per mentioned here.

You are always welcome to check post history of anyone from this forum and to report accordingly. When you got all the opportunity to fight against the spam, it is leading to think "something different" when you are TOO MUCH BOTHERED about spreadsheet. In short, you want to fight against spammers just after this campaign ?

Forget the past, wake up for present and catch the spammers.

But, before that explain what is spam and guide in more elaborated way. Because, I guess this is not enough nor appropriate to understand to bring changes to writing contents.
Spam is "irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent on the Internet to a large number of recipients".
9  Economy / Services / Re: Stake.com - A signature campaign for everyone! Earn up to 0.1 BTC weekly on: February 17, 2019, 04:38:49 PM
I don't know if the website issues has been resolved as last that I tried to longin into my account is going?  I have also seeing the signature campaign suspended I hope all is well.
You'll know that by simply accessing their website, and until now it still showed the "404 Not Found"
That simply mean that the site is literally gone and don't expect they'll be back again soon, and if ever they'll comeback, it will be hard for them to gain back the confidence of the gamblers.

Hard to gain back confidence? They returned all funds before shutting down lmao
Just returning all the funds alone will retain confidence ? Because, I will never touch a services which had such a history of abandoning.

I mean like this I have justification for almost all the examples you have included here. It is a free world and everyone has basic right to state their opinion. You cannot mark them spam when they are speaking within subject and NOT repeating something which is already stated by someone else.

Moreover, I came to know this manager is ready to remove and denying payments for OBVIOUS SPAMMERS. Hence, you are always welcome to report spammers here.

But, before that please ELABORATELY EXPLAIN WHAT IS SPAM like what kind of way they can write and what are should be avoided. Help them to groom and establish. Just complaining alone will not help anyone Smiley.

Locking this topic as it is being derailed..

Seems Lauda will never answer what is a dead topic and who is inactive user. Big people always got own reasons and also I have life out side this forum. Fighting against big people is just waste of time.

Double standard has become an usual practice here.

Probably someday someone who got all the times, may use this as references.

It means all my other 3 points has some reasons to support my doubts ?

Have ever seen this kind of behaviors from Lauda ?
Yes.
Please link there. Wanted to see few examples where Lauda behaved like an angry cat.
12  Economy / Reputation / The cat is slipping down... on: January 27, 2019, 12:18:38 PM
I doubt this forum's great member Lauda into new hands now.

Reference :
It looks like the site's certificate has expired. Has anyone else seen this?
Why did you share here? You can ask in their ANN thread. You should ask this question in their ANN thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1935098.msg19217054#msg19217054 or ask their admin

This is sig campaign thread don't BUMP this thread unnecessarily.
The thread is dead, the account is inactive and Darkstar isn't. So mind your own business.

You don't need to make a statement; I know what I'm talking about as this is literally the same setup that I've been using for a very long time.
I have too. And glitches happen. Depending on how they automated it, there are quite a few scenarii that can explain a non working automatic renewal. Happened to me once or twice in the last couple years.
LoyceV claims it happened before, so I doubt it's a recurring glitch.

-snip-
Again, mind your own business.

1. Never seen anyone here taking a valid reply personal and snarling "mind your business". Because, this is a open discussion forum and everyone is having their basic right to state their opinion.

2. Calling a topic which is having last post 12 days before as dead. The last post happened in chipmixer's ann on Jan 15th 2019.

3. Calling a "business member" inactive but their last active date is January 23, 2019. Just 4 days since their last activity and 5 days since their last post.

4. In my understanding LoyceV replied in general about the expiry of a certificate but never meant that they had seen chipmixer's certificate got expired before. But, Lauda is taking in sense of supporting their argument.

Quoting LoyceV's reply here :
It happens once in a while, I think the certificate is only valid for 3 months.

Have ever seen this kind of behaviors from Lauda ?

In my wild guessing, some mod took control of the Lauda account by removing all the neg. trusts into that.

I wanted to merit that reply but I am not having any smerit. Also, seeing no one is supporting a valid reply as he is fighting against giant of this forum.
13  Economy / Services / Re: [Open] 🚀 Bitcasino.io 🚀 [Signature Campaign] 🚀 [.02 BTC/week] on: December 26, 2018, 03:51:50 AM
Still have openings for one of the highest paying Sig Campaigns...
It means all above applicants were rejected ? Why you cannot state that here ?

1. You asked people to apply and wear sig. well before confirming the start of a campaign (at least in one of your camp). Just to give free advertisement.

2. You never give a time frame for selecting/rejecting applicants, it means you enforce applicants to wear sig/avatar infinitely for the reason giving free advertisements ?

What to do, a highly paying sig campaign is being managed by ill-mannered manager.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Let's all unite bounty hunters. Unite against spam and scam/cheats. on: November 30, 2018, 08:09:07 AM
Almost 95% of bounty programs end up in scamming us. Why ?

1. It is a decentralized forum. Potential-scams are not being moderated.
2. Almost all bounty programs are not rewarding for our hard work or paying with worthless coins/token.

How to safeguard ourselves ?

If we, the community enforce some set of rules to be followed by all the bounty programs then we may have a healthy environment.

Proposed protocols to be followed by bounty programs.

Rule 01. There should be definite time frame for campaigns. If ICO gets extended, bounty also should be extended as round-2 and ect.

Rule 02. All bounty programs should pay some BTC/ETH payments along with tokens/coin. (10% to 50% payment in eth/BTC remaining will be in tokens/coin).

Rule 03. Escrow the BTC/ETH required.
Rule 04. Payments should be weekly or monthly.
Rule 05. There should not be unlimited slots. Must have specific number of slots for each campaign.
Rule 06. Requirement of KYC should be announced in the beginning of bounty.
Rule 07.
Rule 08.
Rule 09.
Rule 10.

(This is not a final list. Suggest your opinion to add more rules and I am ready to make changes to above if more people asks/agree for a change)

What we need to do right now :
Complete your current campaigns and before joining a new campaign, link the manager to this topic and get their opinion in open discussion. Then, you decide to join or not.

If you start ignoring the campaigns which are not hearing to the opinion of this community, we will have a healthy environment.

Ask your friends to have a glance on this topic. Help them to fight against the scams.

Request to managers :
1. Please ask devs/owners to comply with this community opinion.
2. Do not accept the projects which are not ready to listen to this community.
3. Choose people based on merits to fight against spam.

Future plans :
1. Let's show our strength by voting or by having a list of forum members who prefer to work for the program which is following above rules.
2. Providing badges to bounty topics to show "compatible with community norms"

Final word :
You may think, why I should listen to a Jr.member and I am ready to risk my efforts. But, if you start ignoring the campaigns which are not ready to comply with us then you will have same environment similar to what we have in BTC service section. Don't you prefer to have such good environment ?

If we ignore the non-compatible bounties then we will have less campaigns which will lead to less spam for obvious reasons. Think about healthy bitcointalk and opt for change. Thank you.

15  Other / Meta / Re: Anyone got board wise merit analysis ? on: September 30, 2018, 09:38:43 AM
Your thought is wrong.
Please prove me wrong. I mean show the distribution of merits across sections so far.

Quote
Lafu already give you details where you can see more details.
Where and how ?
16  Other / Meta / Re: Anyone got board wise merit analysis ? on: September 30, 2018, 09:12:31 AM
None of these is showing board wise analysis. Checked twice.
17  Other / Meta / Anyone got board wise merit analysis ? on: September 30, 2018, 03:39:58 AM
In my observation, most of highly established people and most of merit sources are ONLY active here in meta (and in local sections) for finding high-quality posts.

Could anyone do statistical analysis for
1. How much merits were given for each section
2. Select few ACTIVE members and find how many merits they have given to various sections of this forum.

Goal of this topic :
When we are having local specific merit sources why not board specific ones ?
18  Other / Meta / Re: My account kateryana81 was banned for no reason ? on: July 22, 2018, 08:52:15 AM
@kateryana81_temp_acc

Have you ever got banned temporarily before for any reasons ?

@Mods and staff,

These are still in practice ?

First offence: 7 days
Second offence: 14 days
Third offence: 30 days
Fourth: Permanent ban
19  Other / Meta / Re: Upper cap for posts to prevent people wasting their merits in famous topics ? on: April 20, 2018, 05:45:13 PM
When merits are being generated from nothing and it has no upper limit, I guess wasting it not a big concern for this forum.

When wasting merits is not an issue then your topic brings no value here. Let's wait how veteran people will find your concern like good or nothing Tongue
If you remember, theymos already emphasized about not leaving sMerits idle.

Hence people spending their merits to famous topics rather than finding time to identify quality posts. Simply they make us of famous topics to run away from their responsibilities.

Even merits are an unlimited resource, not using it for the exact purpose is not a problem for this community ?

20  Other / Meta / Upper cap for posts to prevent people wasting their merits in famous topics ? on: April 20, 2018, 05:19:57 PM
Do you feel is it right to keep on meriting on our God Mr. Satoshi Nakamotto's OLD posts ? But I feel, people are wasting their merits by not considering young bitcoiner's QUALITY posts.

One good example here must be (other than Satohis's post), Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns. People love to merit it.

In some perspective, I do find the people who all meriting it like they all want their name to be displayed along with some famous topics.

If it is not good, is there any way to stop this ?

Why not put some upper cap for merits for each and every post ? I mean one post may have only some certain amount of merits.

Or disabling the merit button for a post after some time period (after few weeks) will be a solution here ?
