1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🚀 [ANN]Genie-ICO 🌟🚀 Asian Asset Exchange | REFERRAL PAYOUT on: February 06, 2018, 01:09:54 PM
Rather...'odd' that so many of the newer ICOs all use the same website template for the user pages.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote Windows CPU Miner v3.5 on: March 17, 2017, 12:34:29 AM
So far the only way to download is with Firefox...everything else immediately deletes the CPU miner

EDIT: Well, seeing as Windows has removed BOTH .exe files, and the only browser that appears to allow the download is Firefox. I'm going to say this is not safe

Also, still waiting on that withdraw made on Oct. 27th Tongue

You'd have to be an idiot to spend any money on these fucking god awful liars. What the fuck's wrong with you morons?

You clearly have way too much money on your hands if you are even entertaining giving these frauds your BTC.
*sigh*

I have no problem with you insulting me.... But don't you dare insult Glenn and Dan.

You do not insult people whom I consider friends, and you do not insult their hardwork. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?

But seriously, things need to calm to frack down... If you don;t want to invest money with Eso that's fine. But we are still on the same team. Who is our real enemy? The governments who are trying to pin down Bitcoin and crypto and kill it so that it's not a competitor to their fiat currencies.

Fiat currency is the real culprit, the real ponzi. Look up Mike Maloney's "The Biggest Scam in History" on YouTube, he explains ti nicely. Fiat currencies steal our wealth, Bitcoin doesn't.

But no one here is saying that Bitcoin is going to steal our wealth - they are saying that esoteric investments is (if we are silly enough to give it to them).

Every one of these schemes gets defended by people saying "There's no evidence it's a scam." Of course there isn't, until they run off with the money.
If you get lucky you can make a bit of money, if you get in and out quick. New scams like this appear every day - this one just got our attention because they take Bitcoin. Most of them disappear after a few days or a few weeks. Bitcoin-trader lasted an exceptionally long time, due to the confidence they built up in the Bitcoin community with their marketing activities. Esoteric is clearly hoping enough of that confidence is left (there still seems to be some, amazingly, judging by the talk in the bitcoin-trader thread). The thing to remember is there is nothing to suggest esoteric will last anything like as long as bitcoin-trader did though, because most of that "confidence" has clearly evaporated.

What are you talking about!? I still fully believe I will make money on my 0.25BTC Tongue

((Good thing I only put in 0.25 BTC))

Oh, no no, I put .25 BTC to test things out because why not; it's under $100.

My goal is to get in and get out before the project closes down.  Tongue

If you want to prove the scam, just ask who the reputable company was that was doing the audit. In the fantasy world where this company actually exists, surely they would have something to say on this.

No no, you see they can't do that. Because..um......the company would be inundated with calls and emails...ya...

just received:

Dear Clients

Regrettably I have to announce the failure and closure of Bitcoin Trader.

While preparing for the final audit results, a task we were working on for weeks now, our bitcoin wallet has been hacked and emptied, just after exchanging our fiat holdings within the exchanges to bitcoin and transferring our entire holdings to our wallet, in order to proof our solvency.

It is a known fact that I personally opposed any proof of solvency, but agreed to conduct it for the sake of a few dozen small and medium investors.

The hacker contacted me shortly after he took advantage of our holdings and demanded a ransom in order to transfer the coins back. I have agreed to a 25% ransom of the entire sum, but haven’t heard back from him for several days now.

My aim was to create something based on trust, just as bitcoin itself is based on distributed trust. Unfortunately I must admit today, I have failed. All left to do now is to declare bankruptcy with the Panamanian authorities and to hand over all relevant files and information for further investigation.

Sincerely,
John Carley

 Roll Eyes

Well that was anticlimactic, lol.

Dear Mr Carley..

That is a very sad story.   Some would find it unbelievable, but luck for you, the Blockchain never lies.   Can you please provide us the transaction ID's in which the theft took place?  Also can you provide the digital signature signed by the wallets from which the funds where taken?  You should be familiar with the process from your proof of solvency.

If you provide us with that, we do understand that sometimes shit happens.   There ought to be no reason for you to refuse this request if the story is legit..

Thanks,

Your favorite customer.

ROFL! and how does Mr. Carley prove the transaction isn't to his wallet? I, myself, have about 15 wallet addresses; some cloud, some client, and two paper....in a security deposit box.

12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin-trader.biz on: October 16, 2014, 01:44:29 PM
I agree. The only people who have said John Carley exists are Brandenburg and Opperman. We have no proof he exists beyond the statements of known fraudsters. So, as far as I am concerned, there is no John Carley.

There is, however, a Thomas Opperman. And he's been doxxed.

And you assume he's the same Opperman...or even a real person to begin with.

A well-played Con will have fake "legit" people.

In fact. I, personally, would setup fake 'documents' for people to "dox". Tour a neighborhood, get a feel for it. So I can act like I live there....because I know of the little park down the block that was built after a house was torn down. Or the fact the mayor was caught drinking and driving in late September for the second time.

You know, the little things that only someone from the area would know.....after all, most local papers are delivered before 6 AM Wink

Then make social media posts about those things. Set up weak passwords for those accounts so I can 'get hacked'. Maybe even go as far as to setup social media accounts for my 'fake family'.

After all, we're talking potential millions in nearly untraceable "cash" (Bitcoin). All I have to do is siphon off a lil here and there and run it through tumblers; and by little I mean a thousand or so a week. So it's more than "worth my time" to make this Con look 'legit'.

Once you know what people will look for you can easily steer them any direction you want.

PS: Most 'good' thieves don't get greedy...instead of taking that $100 in $1 bills laying on the counter; they'll take 23 and leave the rest. --Conartists are just thieves that trick you into giving them the money.

The experiment also used no more than 1 BTC...that's nothing.

Latest gossip is that John has emerged from the sea and contacted the staff by email.

They are not divulging the contents of said email though..

Faith could be strengthened by a death and resurrection, I suppose..

OH.
My.
GOD!

John is the Jesus!  Shocked

I know this makes me a bad person. But "ROFL" at some of the comments on the "Help Find John" post by the PR guy. Some actually believe in mounting a 'search & rescue'.

AHAHAHA! And now "Thomas" is having Internet issues and can't respond promptly.
16  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin-trader.biz on: October 15, 2014, 06:28:16 PM
Considering that now even their PR guy is going "guzy halp us find him". And stating that BT employees are quitting "left and right" from the sound of it.

You can take off all those choices and just leave: Owner scammed and ran.

lol...Joooohn, why you no wait till November 4th-ish so I could cash out, and collect, my October 28th shares   Sad

I keep forgetting it's 2014 and not 2015  Lips sealed

Original Post:

Judging by the 'Whois' report (https://who.is/whois/https://bitcoin-trader.biz). BT will be 404ing or going to a Domain Parking page on the 19th of October.

If the BS wasn't deep enough,  Yesterday, while the boss was lost at sea, and everyone else was sitting around not knowing anything,  The "Generate Statement" and "View Down-line" functions of the website where miraculously disabled..

Luckily I grabbed my Statement the minute this wasn't resolved in the '48hr' timeframe.

No...no, you see, John was caught in a typhoon and whisked away to the Land of Aquaz. I'm sure he'll return in a submarine to straighten everything out.

You know folks...I have not been able to make any money with bitcoin it is just a passing scam...We have paypal and transfer systems much more reliable and that are not a hotbed for snake oiling scamming theives (the anonymous nature of BTC is their magnet).

I am tending to side with Warren Buffett recently.

ElectricSavant

Just wait till the US Dollar is no longer used as the World's Currency Reserve, which I might add use to be the British Pound before Nazi Germany bombed most of their economy during World War II.

Look up "BRICS" and what they're doing to dislodge the USD as the 'go to' currency for international trading of goods and services.

The day is fast approaching when the world will metaphorically walk back to the table and cut our 'credit card' up and demand cash payment (in this case for out $16+ trillion foreign debt).

The Fiat System is the largest Ponzi/Pyramid Scheme in history. Seriously, a system backed by no hard assets; just the word of the Government that issues that fiat currency. Or even better when they do back it with hard assets. It's always Gold or Silver. WHAT THE FUCK good is that shit. You can't eat it, you can't drink it.

To have a stable 'paper and coin' currency system you'd want to pick hard assets that are useful. Like land, food, water; stuff we all need to live.
