Yes i know, i am still on the exchange just for BTC ETC DASH and SCD for a start, the coin won't change name, and i am aware of the problem, i will fix it later. After, on the exchange i will add the possibility to trade SCD for dead coins. And finally add the same possibility to the wallet, you must understand that it is a long process and requires time to be functional.
Oh and remeber that i am alone, so i have to do it on solo. The exchange website is at 75% ready.

It is not a problem As some of you may know, our name isn't going to interest any exchange, so i decided to change the plans. I will go with something less time consuming, and start by releasing our home made exchange I will then add a pool to it so we won't have any problem like that again. And then i will return to the wallet how does it sounds to you ? it shall take a week, a real week not a suicide week

Hey martbob, nice to see you back! Hope your baby is fine! On a side note, I don't want to appear to be greedy but I'm really curious about the results of the the idea/whitepaper contest! In order to be "honest" it should be a good practice for you to hold your promises ... a contest is a promise that someone is getting the reward, that's the definition of a contest. So maybe if you could announce a winner (me or sbd. else), that would be amazing. No problem Gandalf, i am still working on the wallet, and i said the funds will be released when we have a white paper, so we still need to work on it, but every thing must be priorised chain stuck.
not really, i checked it and we need more miners, damn blocks welcome back martob
I never leaved

Hello suicidees, so i am sorry for not been there since a long time, i hope you understand, you know that i had a new child so i have to work, this project is not made for me to get money, it is for fun, and to prove that honest devs still exists. I did somme calculations, and the next release needs around 170 hours of work, so i am sorry again for not giving much news, but as i had somme customers who needed me, i had no choice but to priorise them. Because a dev cannot work 30 minuts or 2 hours in a project, a dev must work at least 4-6 hours before been able to do something else, because if you don't do this, you simply doesn't have the time to do the job, and the result will be shitty. I promise that i will be better organized to leave more time for you and the wallet, and this project is really important for me, and i love you all. Also thanks again cryptopia I promise to return with a shit load of nice gifts You should also know that i always get my promises done, and that i am still alive Ok we just wonder where you are. We understand having a baby takes much time. You must understand we just not sure what is happening I think most though you left. It is only because so many others leave. It is not a personal thing. I hope many happy times for your baby and wife. Hey, thank you for your support. It is just that i need to get some funds for both my project (SCD) and my family Thanks for your support, but even if don't appear here in the thread, you should know that i am always active, and that SCD is moving, slowly for now, it sure, but it is moving I hope this thread will get revived when i will release the new wallet Thanks again for the amazing post

any updates on how coin/explorer/wallet development is progressing?
Still on it, i will display the same update post as i did last time, but only once i setup the environments, for now, i have a lot of work : - Block explorer setup - Add coin config - Exchange server setup - Redaction of the API All of these requires money, i am using my personal money, so i have to be easy, i don't want to eat stones, i would like to have some devs to work with me but it looks like no one is interested for now, so i have to be on my own for now. remeber [COMMUNITY]

Any one have more feedback ?
Yes, where do I get the source code to compile it on GNU/Linux? There doesn't seem to be an update on Github. Maybe you could create a "dev" branch and push to it from time to time? I am sorry Gandalf, but for now i want to keep it closed source, but there will be releases for linux, a bit later, and even for mac and apk file The source will be released as soon as we have achieved some decent work on it, i hope that you understand me, i don't want to look like a shit scripter Thanks for the feedback, so the display will heavily change, apparently no one wants the black background and the striped font, it is not a problem. Yes when you click on the menu element you hide or show all sub menu elements, it was pointless to waste time on this as there is just 1 sub menu.
Any one have more feedback ?
As of now, i am working on the block explorer.
leave the black background color and leave the font, I do like both of them, just make it ONE COLOR font instead of stripes EDIT: on exchange site, you could implement the cryptopia atm, depending on whether it's a lot of time consuming or not ofc, I do think block explorer comes first if it takes a lot of time to plant Noted, but regarding the exchange we will use our own exchange, i will host it in a vps and take a small fee of 0.2% of SCD only exchanged, in order to maintain the servers

For now i decided to make only Windows binary as it is the most unstable os available, basically, if it works on windows, it will work in any os. I will for sure make binaries for MAC LINUX and ANDROID but later, once it gets more content, and debuged.
Gandalf, could you tell me on wich os you are ?
As of now the code relatively simple, but it will get more complex and efficient with time.
Any bugs ? Suggestions ? Something ?

I for got to add, you should keep the qt wallet and use it normally. when you want to test, use the new one, but don't forget to backup wallet.dat
to be honest.. it has good and bad on it personally I like the idea of buttons being on side (even though most don't work still) and the "hiding" feature it has also when clicked again. I like the font itself also as it gives a nice touch on it, BUT as for the font also, I think it needs to be one colored, not white and black striped(at least I saw it that way). that made it very hard to read, nearly impossible especially on black background. also would be nice if you could get some nice mouse pointer when on top of text instead of the text "line" pointer. as for last, after I closed it and was about to run the original wallet,I noticed that it left the suicided open on processes which prevented the original wallet to open till I forced it closed. these are minor things really on fast peak of it, but just few things I thought I point them out. all in all,I'm looking forward for it to be completed EDIT: might be also good idea to remove the possibility of negative values on send section as you put the amount through the arrows that pop up there and correct me if I'm wrong but isn't insert typed with s and not c? On the part of any bugs, haven't noticed any errors so far that could crash the wallet nor do any harm. Thank you for your great comment, let me explain : - There is only the dashboard for now, the other buttons are just to show what will be built in the wallet. - The font is stripped, white colored on a black background, i understand that stripes can cause problems, so i will think about it in the next releases - I forgot to change the pointer, and to deactivate text pointer, my fault, will be corrected - Yes the close process is still having some randomness inside, will be corrected, i was aware of that but in my side it closes fine, this is why a draft release is great - haha, you will find a lot of typo here, will fix it, will also change the negative values I love your comments thank you a lot, could you please try to send a negative amount ? i wonder what happens from your side, normally it shouldn't work also, could you please tell me how you close the wallet ? there are different signals to close the wallet and i think that one of them doesn't work correctly.

I seem to have an issue on windows 10 Gateway laptop, i3 cpu 6gb ram. Each time i close and re-open the wallet, it seems to need to rebuild the blockchain, a small annoyance now, but when the chain grows and takes a few hours to sync, it could be very troubling.
Yes this is due to annother problem, it rebuilds the index of blocks, now that the draft wallet is done i think that i will on this problem. But regarding rebuild time, it takes a couple of seconds to me (windows 10 4cores multithread i7 3.8 8gb ram)

First, before downloading the wallet you have to know some things about it : - Backup your wallet.dat - Only for windows users - This is a "Draft" release, because i know that many people here are waiting it - Again, be very cautious using it as it is very basic - It doesn't supports encrypted wallets yet - The display is temporar only, and will change - Please don't say it is ugly or any shiny stuff, instead, give true interesting feedback - This is a volatile release, it means that it may bug a lot - Due to its "draft" nature, the daemon shall always be in the same directory with the wallet - Please, let it the time to load, windows is slow by nature, i will fix this on later releases - I would like you to test everything, try to spam buttons, do what ever you want to bring her down, and tell me how you did it, so i can correct/upgrade - The wallet is in fact separated from the daemon, once it is matured, i will fuse them. Happy testing https://github.com/SuicideDev/SuicideCoin/releases/download/First/SuicideWallet.rar

You must know that compiling this, is really tricky, long, and hard ( if you laugh reading this, then you are as deviant as i am)
Just wondering because normally I would compile, test and debug as I write the code, so there's always a working program ... it's kinda funny to see that you put compiling your software as an extra step. Anyway good luck, we're all looking forward to it! I added it now because last time i wasn't compiling it, and i better like to work with drafts first, see if it compiles well, and then write a clean code, and then debug, and then correct, then compile and so on
