The problem might be to do with their backend, the website is up. It's like the trading engine is off.
This. It was actually lagging as others have said when trying to cancel orders early this morning, 5 hrs ago. It seems like it wouldn't be the trading engine per say, but the actually connections/sync between the engine and the web, maybe, not DDOS. Or it could be something else knowing them guys and they will all be zzzzing over there at this time anyway so I wouldn't count on it being sorted any time soon...

It's a bank holiday in many parts of europe. Gonna slow things down a bit I think.
Well only really Poland, Serbia, France, Belgium cant imagine them slowing much down and as others said the US. Most others celebrate Veterans/Armistice day on the closest Sunday possible to the 11th. On a side note yes, Gox is lagging, that loverly ''please wait a bit...'' text appears to great customers ever so politely when you go on the site, but still able to get in.

I am sure you will but if not just wanted to say, please do keep us informed of the number of admissions; I am looking forward to the sold out pledge. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) P.S This is by a long way the most fascinating/interesting/entertaining topic on the whole forum, in more than a BTC sense.

Bots R Us. There are so many tiny transactions going through right now.

Have a wall. Still strong at 170 like the last one except there is a long stretch to reach it, that wouldn't be that hard if on Cox but BTS is a different beast. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs16.postimg.org%2Fcc03o1jqd%2FScreen_Shot_2013_04_26_at_09_10_48.jpg&t=663&c=cty9wGwSUCTZvA)

Bitstamp, if you are not American, is not the easiest place to get USD in and out of last time I checked it out.
The fees for the international transfers were pretty high as well, if I recollect correctly.
It used to be good for the UK via transfer wise but now...well who the fuck knows. I have to agree that during that last sell off it was hard to get any trading done, made a bit of money from it but the need to continuously refresh wasn't ideal, the price just moves so quickly due to the low volumes you really have to catch it at the right time. I refuse to use MtCox though so it is something I personally have to deal with for now.

Not sure what is going on, but the differences are obviously just down to the market volume, BTS is much much smaller comparatively to MTGx. But it is really interesting how someone doesn't just move in to BTS with fiat and buy through all of the walls, which is so so so easy compared to MTGx, but then again this would mean that these coins have to be for sale on the exchange in the first place I guess. This may then be seen by other un-experinced users and trigger other exchanges into this price range as well. Although I guess I just answered my own question.

Bitcoinity not live updating BTS prices?

|

Hmm maybe you should be questioning that then, the highs on charts/order books etc. haven't even registered an error or anything to that level so how can they not knowledge the problem.

Yeah must be nice having Btinstant as an option no such luck in the UK. Not much wall observing going on in here and as it is ''second biggest and best exchange'' thought we should actually include some. Although compared to the number of users on MtG it does question even further how useful the wall images are for BtStmp. Only 568ish to be sold to get to 160 but over there it is just over 3k. Anyway, someone if we go by this, doesn't want it above 170 any time soon... ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs12.postimg.org%2Fjvmnvr06l%2FScreen_Shot_2013_04_25_at_16_22_02.jpg&t=663&c=KVxYRglwcvkAOQ)

That is weird. In Germany I don't even pay for SEPA at all (Not that I noticed). Anywhere in the EU it is the same as doing an in Country transfer (free). Probably dependent on the bank, but that is really unfair what is going on in the UK.
Yeah well many things in the UK don't work as they should thanks to them guys in the ''City''. There needs to be a work around found for this, we need to get more of their bonus' / bailouts into BTC they don't wanna use.
|
|

Quite frankly the City are a set of contradictory ego based narcissist. This doesn't surprise me in any way. Moving forward though, so what are the options of getting GBP into exchanges (Mt.Gox, Bitstamp particularly thanks to its SEPA) at present after this fiasco?
|
|
|
Brilliant. The one relatively easy way to get GBP into places. Now what, any one have any suggestions?

Bitcoincharts down for anyone else, it doesn't seem to be drawing graphs for me anymore?
Won't work for me either. I have sent them several emails asking for a paid service and they have not replied. If added gold and silver to their charting service I would pay $15usd a month in btc for that!! This seems like a good idea actually, I believe they should keep the BTC free though and then have further features for BTC and gold etc for paid, but who knows. Annoying none the less, hopefully it will be back up soonish.

So should i keep my 10btc sell order at 149.99 open? Its not all my coins, but still a chunk.
It depends why your selling really though. There is a nice wall at 130 which if not pulled might offer some resistance, I don't see 200 by tomorrow tbh.

Who knows what is going to happen when the US wakes up, I mean the UK is going to be trading time soon, which I think might be a good indication of maybe what is going to happen due to it being a much smaller market. Will it trigger more buying into the higher prices or a sell off when people make back some losses they made. I have to say well done to the eastern world China, Japan, Australia etc. for keeping this going over night, or those of you in the US that just don't sleep for fear of loosing more of your life savings in this.
Certainly interesting times to come today and tomorrow before the weekend.

Yeah I had that error, not sure what is happening but my wallet balance was in the corner as it should have been, which I found more strange given the error saying it was unable to get it.
