2  Economy / Speculation / Re: I've been very busy out spending my Bitcoins on: May 05, 2017, 06:44:48 PM
It actually a bit upsetting that Kwukduck is only appearing when there is some FUD going on in the background.
He will never show his ass when Bitcoin's price reached ATH. I bet when decline will start he will create another thread, something like that:
"I told you bitcoin is failing!! Sold all your coins NOW!"

I think he is only upset every time the price of bitcoin is falling, and have said a bit something a person would do if a person is upset and to sold all your coins was the thing he probably can think of doing, but I think he is peaceful now that the price is high! but then again maybe he us still upset right now because of the price of bitcoin that is $1600 right now he doesn't have any bitcoin left and didn't show his face in the forum because he is terribly wrong in what he had done, well just a hint.

I noticed that with any movement of bitcoin prices there will always be people who are happy from this and those who are upset by it.
But this is normal, because all people are different
3  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-05-02] Over 10 New Bitcoin Exchanges Set to Launch in Japan on: May 05, 2017, 06:40:59 PM
I am not sure that this is good news. We need strong exchanges, well capitalized and with proven security practices.
If a new exchange gets hacked, it could lead to "Bitcoin is unsafe" warnings yet again.

I do not think that now news about the hacking of the stock exchange will be a big loss for the bitcoin community. The people's confidence in this cryptocurrency is already much higher than a few years ago. And the fact that there are new exchangers is very good news
4  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Lending bitcoins on: May 05, 2017, 06:37:37 PM
Does anyone know a site where I can lend bitcoins? I prefer not a long lending time. I know bitbond but maybe there are better ones, and is it completely safe?
Lmk Cheesy

Nik
There are many different sites where you can use your funds converted into BTC for a loaning purposes. It obviously depends on what rate and interest you are looking for, but there are some options in between you can choose.
For example, Poloniex gives a great way to invest your bitcoin. You can just make an agreement to borrow your money for margin leverage purposes, as traders borrow the money while selling on alts.
With something like that, the rate is pretty decent and the whole investment is almost risk free.

Dont forget about using bitcointalk.org ! You need to remember that we have many people looking for a loan here, at "Loans" section in "marketplace" , I suggest you can go there.

You are right, bitcointalk.org - this is exactly the forum where you can find everything you need. There are special sections in which you can find good suggestions. After all, all the people who are interested in bitcoin
5  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What would you like to buy? on: May 05, 2017, 06:34:26 PM
I think you forgot to add mobile and computer accesories on your list. In this days ,gadgets like mobile and computer are much more demanding to teens and even to younger ones

Yes it's really one of the most in demand product right now. Computers and gadgets are very popular because of technology and every single person has a gadget on his own except those people that are living in poorest countries or living in the remote places. I want to buy my own gaming rig because I want to play some high end games to relieve stress.

Electronic goods in one word. I guess I would like to buy something which I can't get easily in where I am right now and that would be high end gadgets as well as drones and equipments. But seeing the price of Bitcoin, I'll think twice before paying in Bitcoin.

I also think that spending today bitcoin is not very profitable. I like to buy different gadgets and novelties. But bitcoin is more used as an investment, not money
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short Term or Long Term on: May 05, 2017, 06:30:49 PM
For me, Try the same method if you know the coin has a potential to get high value on long term try to hold it and bring extra capital for the short term method or Day trading.
Example you have 1Btc in tour wallet.
use 0.5btc for long term method and use 0.5btc for Day trading method it gives you a huge profit or Sell the coins you holding if you know that theres a retracement or a rebuy and buy it again when the prive has decreased.
to me everyone  have their own choice but to me i think long term investment has more advantages as compare to short term investment. in short term investment there is always risk of losing money, but in long term investment there are more chances to make money instead of losing your own money.
I agree with you. It's better to have a long term investment that short term investment. Long term investment comes with more benefits for you and you'll be sure enought that in the future you'll be secure than short term invesment that yes can give you earning but you don't know anytime you'll lose it.

I also use bitcoin for long-term investments. If you think about the fact that I bought the first coins at a price of $ 700, and now I can sell them for 1500, I managed to increase my capital. But I intend to still keep
7  Local / Новости / Re: Bitcoin выходит на новые ценовые рекорды on: May 03, 2017, 10:23:42 AM

Undecided

10  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: May 03, 2017, 09:31:08 AM
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/9-ways-kids-smarter-money-100050132.html

This article doesn't talk about bitcoin but it got me thinking how to get kinds interested in bitcoin within the context of appropriate money management lessons. Think of we could teach kinds about it. The growth, the adoption, the inflation and retraction. The allure of the "internet money".

...what other ideas come to mind?

Kids should be given reasons and opportunities to earn money to prepare themselves for real life. Bitcoin is just one medium to earn value with.

I'm not sure that children need to give this knowledge. And even more so to impose it. The time will come and they themselves may be interested in bitcoins.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: $2000 anyone? on: May 03, 2017, 09:25:34 AM
I think it will be $2000 in 6 months or less..

From this point in time, i would say that your prediction is not just possible, but very probable.

Why? If you look at the charts on coinmarketcap.com you will see that the price has consistently increased over the past few months. Not just one big price hike and then a dump like 2013. There is a major difference between this year's pump which is way more sustainable, compared to the 2013 pump which happened basically overnight and the dump happened overnight as well.

But still, it is important that you don't take on a lot of risk. Maybe keep a portion of your savings in USD and the other portion in BTC.

$2000 has always been possible or probable or whatever Smiley
it is only a matter of time, and this year seems to be a good time for testing that price territory and actually breaking the $2000 resistance. but the problem has always been all these stops and prevention for rise. like ETF rejection then FUD about split and continuous manipulative dump and all the rest of the propaganda against bitcoin.

Even despite attempts to manipulate the price, Bitcoin continues to skyrocket. It seems to me that nothing can stop him. The main thing is that in the near future there was no bad news
12  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-04-30]India’s Government May Be Preparing to Legalize and Regulate Bitcoin on: May 03, 2017, 09:22:22 AM
Since Bitcoin is anonymous, no government will be able to get the user and present him any claims or claims. Only in case of legalization in my opinion all this bravado benefits will end.

It all depends. People tend to take Bitcoin's 'anonymous' nature a bit too serious. Nowadays, most exchanges require their users to fully verify themselves in order to keep using that exchange, where some exchanges even tend to freeze all your funds till you have done so. Every coin you withdraw from such exchange will have your information tied to it, and from there the exchange can basically follow everything you do. It might not sound like it is a big problem at first glance, but it will be when governments force exchanges to hand them over all user details. Everything at that point can, and will be used against you. Especially if becomes clear that you haven't been paying any tax, that you have spent your coins on illegal goods, etc. That's why I always advice people that if they happen to withdraw coins from an exchange, to run them through a mixer. It of course won't guarantee you 100% privacy, but it greatly contributes towards something close to that.

Yes, if you set a goal, you can clearly identify who and when the bitcoins sent. Especially if a person converts bitcoin into a national currency.
But I can not believe that India will legalize bitcoin. They are not yet ready for this technologically
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: You'll sell at the bottom on: April 28, 2017, 06:34:53 PM
When you decide to sell, be it today or tomorrow or whenever, chances are you will sell at the bottom. This will cause you massive depression, way worse than not selling at the peak to rebuy cheaper.

Buy and hold, or risk selling at the bottom and losing your position.  After this dip stabilizes, we are going $2000.
I dont yet decide to sell im just buying when the price were being dump ,buy more until i can .when i have a target price i will only sell some .

I think that many people do exactly the same thing. Each person determines the price at which he is ready to sell his coins.
But selling in a recession is stupid. It is better to wait and sell at a high price
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Prediction 2017 on: April 28, 2017, 06:32:18 PM

In 2017, we might see major elevations in the bitcoin price. The analysts are already predicting a staggering rise of more than 165% in the bitcoin price which means it might go beyond the $2000 mark in the near future. The impending “Spending Binge” might prove to be a major catalyst in appreciating the price of bitcoin in coming months.

In addition to that, the augmenting value of dollar against yuan might be yet another factor to drive the BTC price to unimaginable heights. During the last 3-4 months, the value of dollar has risen by 4% against Yuan and during the exact same period, there was a 21% incline in the BTC price. Seeing these trends, it seems quite obvious that the two might have a close relation with one another and if the dollar tends to rise against Yuan, then the bitcoin price as well, is likely to rise further.

After years of volatility, the Bitcoin price forecast is finally on an upward trek through 2017 and beyond. In just five years, the Bitcoin price (BTC price) rose from a few cents to over $1,000, which should give you some sense as to how much money early investors made. But don?t worry, our Bitcoin price prediction 2017 shows that there is still more room to the upside.
I think we are going to see a stable price of 1500 in this year and at the end of the year when the price tends to go up like crazy we are going to see a price of 1800.

I also hope that the price will only grow. But there are some doubts.
But if we talk about the trend throughout the year 2017, the price will definitely grow to 1800 - 2000 by the end of the year
16  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-04-26] SEC Orders Review of Winklevoss Bitcoin ETF Rejection on: April 28, 2017, 06:28:32 PM
I think they are doing this because they are subjective to something being kept out of the public's view of why it was rejected.
Something is not right there.

The etf has other investors p/o'd about etf cluster failure. They are just wrapping this
whole fiasco up in a bow to appease investors imho. Window dressing.

Yes, maybe you are right. No one knows the real reasons for what happened. The public does not talk about all the reasons. Therefore, we can only make assumptions.

Very lucky guy to knows a good investment when he sees one. Grin

He is a Harvard graduate and was an investment banker on wall street after all! Wink

So you can trust him and buy bitcoins too? Each has its own investment strategy.
I, too, are ready to invest in bitcoin, because I had a good personal opinion about him based on personal experience

Roll Eyes

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make governments accept bitcoin? on: April 28, 2017, 05:56:10 PM
Best way is to destroy scams. Having scammy exchanges, scammy people running away, this is what make the trust to do not come. Little by little, by not funding them will make them disappear, and a trust will be contructed over the time.

Destroying scams is a very hard task, they are everywhere. What the government or us should do is to raise awareness. If we will raise awareness to the people and to the government about those technique of scams then it will be possible that the government will accept bitcoin and will accept the fact that bitcoin is good for the economy.

Once government finds a way to control or manipulate the bitcoin users surely they will let people know it for their people can earn and be benefited from it same with they can get taxes through the users once they find a way how to put taxes on each user.

Yes it is a sure thing that they are going to manipulate us because the government is always for the tax or profit for the government. Each of the local exchange that has been based on your country will be taxing each of your receiving or sending transactions. I hope that is not going to happen so that we can still pay smaller fees.

That would be the obvious scenario if ever the government finds a way in manipulating bitcoin. First is the additional fees for every transaction. Since the government is able to control bitcoin in their territory then additional fee will exist for the additional gain of the government. Second is implementation of tax. Since bitcoin is a form of investment on other people, tax will be included in the picture. Also, if bitcoin is used in businesses, tax is highly expected. Finally, that particular country will be full of businesses and shops that are accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment. This is a good side if ever they, the government, will be able to manage bitcoin. High rate of transaction will occur and more and more people will be attracted to bitcoin.

I think the increase in additional fees will come in when the amount of people using bitcoins has also increased. I don't think the government will add fees by themselves for every transaction being done, because we see in fiat that we can transact it all without fees.

I still doubt that people wouldn't leave bitcoin when the government were able to have control of it. There's just no point in the government taking the time and effort to get control over bitcoins because it will only affect a million of people which in a global scale is considered as small.

But we should not disregard the fact that the popularity of bitcoin is growing rapidly. And no one will guess how the crypto currency will affect the economy of the country. Therefore, the government can show great interest in bitcoin
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: April 28, 2017, 05:53:31 PM
Not only for me but for many people bitcoin is freedom. Bitcoin is the money without asking banks give you the right if you want to spend it and where you want to do that. With bitcoin you are the bank and the customer at the same time. If all the above is not revolutionary then what is it?

i would called bitcoin as the new technology that can helping many people to make money and they can earn bitcoin for free from many source. i will make bitcoin as my new investment because i don't have to spend my real money to buy bitcoin and if i compare with gold then in gold we need to buy some amount 1 oz or else and beside that i don't have more money to buy gold.

You are right - bitcoin is a very good investment. And it's very convenient to invest in bitcoin. You can buy it by spending only a few minutes and a few dollars.
I also use bitcoin mainly for investing
