1  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 2016 Bitcoin Debit Card Reviews on: December 07, 2016, 08:12:50 PM
Cryptopay has turned into a piece of nothing recently, I can't purchase anything with their card, always getting a decline on most merchants. (with a balance on it of course)

Yes, and here is the answer:

Hello,

The new HD format of the wallet doesn't allow for choosing which address funds are being sent from. This is part of how HD wallets work and is not specific to Blockchain.info wallets. The only way to send from a specific address is via an imported private key.

 Undecided

So I've asked whether I can export the private key somehow:

Quote
Sorry, but there isn't any way to export individual private keys from an HD wallet. If you wanted a backup of the wallet then you can read over our Security Center guide - [blockchain]/hc/en-us/articles/209564506.

So sad.
3  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Advcash | a new "anonymous" bitcoin debit card [EUR & USD] on: December 07, 2016, 06:35:50 PM
Omg, for me today is a bitcoin debit card disappointment day, and i just wtb an air ticket!!

"Anonymous" ? What a bullshit.

I just loaded 600 euros, created a virtual EUR card and loaded it with 100 Euros.

The card was created and i tried to load another 400 euros, the operation was held and system tells that I need to verify my id in order to complete the operation (card loading).

The red text says "To complete this operation, you need to verify your identity" and it means I should upload my personal ID. Of course I won't, pff.

What a waste of time. Please stop advertising the things about your payment systems that aren't real.

The only good thing about this one that it allowed me to unload the card, lol.

Withdrawing.

Please invest it into renewable energy research.
Also you can anonymously sponsorship some scientists who are able to make fuelless engines/power. Tesla will be grateful.
5  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much did you spent in the internet using bitcoin? on: December 07, 2016, 02:06:04 PM
I spent a second half of this year using bitcoin for internet purchases. I can say I've spend more than 3000$ in BTC equivalent during this year, that is good.
We are making some progress over there.
Good to see more and more internet stores that accept Bitcoin.
6  Economy / Web Wallets / blockchain.info new interface/API functionality issue on: December 07, 2016, 01:55:31 PM
Guys, is it just me or the new interface doesn't allow us to send money from a single bitcoin address within the wallet?

This functionality was essential to me when there was the old interface, I was able to choose a specific address to send BTC from using 'Advanced send'.

Now I only found this functionality described at Blockchain Wallet API v3 spec:
Quote
http://localhost:3000/merchant/$guid/payment?password=$main_password&second_password=$second_password&to=$address&amount=$amount&from=$from&fee=$fee

$main_password Your Main Blockchain Wallet password
$second_password Your second Blockchain Wallet password if double encryption is enabled.
    $to Recipient Bitcoin Address.
$amount Amount to send in satoshi.
$from Send from a specific Bitcoin Address (Optional)
$fee Transaction fee value in satoshi (Must be greater than default fee) (Optional)

Ok I've installed the software and tried it, making an outgoing transaction using 'from' parameter results into an error:
Quote
Error signing and pushing transaction
[timestamp] - error: ERR_PUSHT

Now I searched some githubs and a developer jtormey tells that 'from' is now used for xKEY Pub just to specify the wallet you want to send from, not the bitcoin address.

To spend from the xpub used with our receive payments API, you need to include from=[YOUR_XPUB].
There isn't a way to spend from a specific receive address.

So, the quoted description of a 'from' parameter from their site is a typo or just outdated info appeared due to copy/paste?

8  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: UANode - dedicated servers and VPS on: December 07, 2016, 01:18:49 PM
I am running a full bitcoind node for a second month on their dedicated server (dell poweredge, a little bit old but I like it) and it's running smoothly.
I was also able to encrypt the whole / HDD partition of my server with LUKS.
Network is very stable.

Another and special thing I like that they don't blame me for 'Noname' in my first name and 'noname in my last name fields  Smiley

Good job guys.

I've loaded some money there and made some exchange operations, now leaving my feedback on this forum.

My account's statement:

Details on 2 simple exchange transactions:

I wrote to support asking why these 2 operations ate just about 230$ and here is an answer:

Dear Mr Alex
Many thank for contact us
Please noted that when you exchange money you have to follow our bank
rate and + 3% convert fees charge by bank. (we never encourage any
customer exchange too much because you will lost much in fees charge by
bank ) our system only charge 0.5% fees on top of 3% bank fees.
We strongly advice you deposit usd and load fund direct with your USD
fund, please no using exchange system which will make you lost in
exchange transaction

I do apologies for any inconvenient caused

Best Regard
Sarah

disappointed. wtf, I never ever lost 230$ by simply exchanging a small amount of usd (988$) to euro and back just using a payment system's account without even reaching any cards.
also, 230$ is definitely not 3% of 988$, nor 700 euros....

Also what i specially disliked and they haven't described it in any visible form:
- i can't load more than 1000usd per 24 hours to the account's balance (not a card), system says I've exceed the limit i wasn't aware of.
- I can't make any daily account/cards turnover that exceeds 1000$, the system says i am out of limit.
- i can't withdraw my money in bitcoins

General:
if you want fast and serious service, this one is not what you look for.

Sorry but I don't think I am going to continue using your service, this is just a pure robbery.
You told me about 3%, but 230$ I lost is not even 3% of 988$ nor 700 euros.
You took 22% instead of 3% for an exchange operation!!!

you should really fix your PHP script or tell us about that hidden business behind these random percentages.
