Is it just me, or would a lot of other day 1/2 buyers here rather have a good deal on a gen2 Jupiter delivered in December..?

They have the technology, we know everything works..

The Neptune is another leap of faith - I have no problem trusting KNC on their ability to deliver, but the difficulty in "q1/q2" is impossible to predict.

I have placed an order, but i'm really not sure what to do with it.. :/

A great relief to see you are back! I, and several others here, were truly worried about your wellbeing.

I really hope you will find the energy to somehow continue to contribute to the BTC community; I really enjoyed following this project and had high hopes for the final design, and I'm glad to see that at least some projects have survived and been able to produce a functioning K16 using your design! That must be a boost for you, too, I hope! :-)

Welcome back!
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: November 11, 2013, 12:11:21 AM
I would be interested in a couple of boards if that means I can get something back from what I have already paid for assembly (only 2 Bitburner XX, but still) :-)

What would the cost be for a Fury card (chips?) minus assembly already paid for a Bitburner XX?

Also, since VAT is a problem for me, I think I would need somewhere to host the cards - anyone have any suggestions??

Let's see what firmware they come up with Monday, because so far I'm far from impressed or satisfied with the product, not to mention the delay for which I still expect compensation.
Don't want to be nagging daily, but it seems that's the only way with KNC.

Hi Cyper,

I don't know if you have tried this, but after reading the KNC forums, I found a reference to the #kncminer channel on freenode IRC, where some of the orsoc developers tend to hang around. I had a serious problem with my miner that was not resolved by talking to support on the phone, but Henrik (hno) from Orsoc was on the IRC channel and promptly got the problem sorted! My miner was hosted, but perhaps he, or somebody else, mighy be able to fix your problem or at least help troubleshoot. Worth a try, and much more effective than posting here. I don't think anyone from KNC or Orsoc is reading this thread(?)

Seriously; why is anyone still using Eclipse after seeing how Inaba/BFL Josh has treated the BTC community..?

I recommend Bitminter og Eligius. Great pools with good and friendly support!
6  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [378Th] Eligius: ASIC, no registration, no fee CPPSRB BTC + 105% PPS NMC, 877 # on: November 03, 2013, 04:39:54 PM
I got the same "502 Bad Gateway" error msg. Was able to have tech support check my hosted miner and it is still submitting shares, so I will leave my maching pointing at Eligius for a while more, but I hope to see a response from wizkid soon Smiley

Very nice site, Steamboat!
One question: since the original Klondike thread has been full of worried messages about BkkCoin's well being, I am hoping that your mentioning him at this site means everything's okay with Chris? Nobody's been able to reach him in weeks... Hope he's in good health!

My hosted miner went offline a few hours ago. Tried getting it to wake up by changing pool setting in the portal, I get the "pending" message, but then just "offline" again, and the KNC portal hash rate graph shows a steady flatline 0 gh/s... :-(

The past 24 hours, the miner has been really unstable, and today it just went out of business. I expected there to be some kind of surveillance of hosted miners to make sure units that went offline were rebooted or reset, but that does not seem to be the case (one of the reasons for chosing hosting in the first place was an assumption of 24/7 mining...)

Anyone else had their miner go offline? How long til you got it back online, and how? I'm hoping SOMETHING happens before Sweden wakes up to a new day tomorrow..

Hosted Jupiter here. Eligius says 320 GH/s but KNC Portal stats read 510 GH/s?

Three hosted Jupiters here.

Portal shows: 526, 416, 408
Slush shows: 438, 399, 361

So portal is using higher than actual hashing speed?

The web interface shows the "raw" hash speed being reported by cgminer which includes HW errors.

For me, until yesterday, those two numbers were practically the same (pool hash rate stable at near miner theoretical max hash rate), but since around noon there has been a big difference :-(  Hosted miner. See my post on previous page for details. Hope they will fix. Anyone else with this problem?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 23, 2013, 12:21:04 AM
Did anyone else's hosted miner go bonkers today? At around 10 UTC there was some downtime, and when I checked the portal, we suddenly had statistics. Ok. But a few hours AFTER that, my miner started to drop its connection to BTCGuild or Bitminter, and never reaching more than 80-90% of the speed it has been running at for days, and then dropping to about 50% speed, fluctuating wildly and also dropping connections the last few hours :-(

Curiously, the hash rate graph on KNCs portal pages say that the miner is running at full speed since around lunchtime, whereas the BTC Guild graph looks like a rollercoaster, with my average hash rate for today less than half what it has been the last week :-((

I guess they have updated the miner firmware, but it was certainly an "upgrade" I wish they hadn't performed in my case. Curious to hear if others have the same symptoms. Hope this change is reversible!

I'm not able to register and post on the KNC forum, hope somebody here - if they have the same problem - can crosspost.

Hi DrHaribo,

I can't seem to connect my miner from KNC's hosting portal. Last week, it worked fine. Now, after I configure bitminter as my pool, the KNC portal says "running", but the bitminter live stats say 0 gh/s, even if I leave the miner running (supposedly) for a few minutes. Last time I used Bitminter, I seem to remember the live stats updating pretty much instantly, so my machine does not seem to be hashing at your pool.

Do you see any kind of problems on your end with connections from KNC (especially the hosting centre). Is there a "connection log" for my user that could tell you/me anything? As the miner is hosted, I have very little information from the hardware side; the only status I get is "pending" or "running"...

I was able to reconnect to BTC guild, but I would like to continue working on Bitminter Smiley Thank you for any info.

Day 2, ordered 4th, payment received 5th, #88x . Hosting.
Started hashing a few hours ago!! :-)) Phew! :-)
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 07, 2013, 12:16:05 PM
Anyone with day2 shipping seen a sign of their orders in production yet?
And anyone here with confirmed hashing on wallet address given for hosting?

I have a June 4 order, paid June 5, supposed day 2 delivery, but still "paid". Order # in high 800's...
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 02, 2013, 10:47:57 AM
Yo! Looks like orders are actually going out today.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDdcZtdBL2M

I would also like to be leaving here today! Wink

Haha, with that kind of speed on the packaging line, they have to shut down the pick-n-place machines to avoid a pile up! :-))

(Bitcoinorama - was that you on the vid? :-))
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 30, 2013, 10:08:51 PM
Congratulations are in order for the KNC/ORSOC team, and thanks to Bitcoinorama for sharing today's nailbiting rush for a hashing result before the "midnight deadline"! :-)

I'm quite confident Marcus will be able to tweak the firmware to where those HW errors are small and insignificant, and I'm pretty sure there is a bit more to come (I'm guessing the theoretical max speed is based on nominal voltage...) :-)

So, once again: Well done, to all involved!
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange with ZERO FEES for beta on: September 29, 2013, 06:24:55 PM
Pools stats for several coins seem to be entirely off;
I directed a few cards to the FTC pool a couple of hours ago, but the pool stats read "Pool hashrate 7.05KH/s". Also, last found block 22 days ago? Is this thing connected to the FTC network at all?
Other pools seem quite erratic, too.. I will leave a few cards here for a couple more hours, but unless I see signs of life in my account stats, I'm backing out again. This new setup doesnt seem to work as well as the old epools, which was much easier to use.. Too bad :/

Refund received! Thank you, Steamboat! :-)
18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 20, 2013, 11:11:24 PM
I requested a refund on the 12th, heard nothing yet... Re-submitted refund form right now. 48chips, batch 3.
19  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 17, 2013, 08:43:53 PM
Sorry to say I too requested a refund some days ago, but I have not received anything yet. No confirmation, no failure notice, no btc. My chips were/are in batch 3. And I believe the reasonable way to refund if from batch 1 forwards, ie. the most delayed shipments first, and letting people who still want their chips move forward in line as people in front are refunded per their request.
20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: August 31, 2013, 06:32:59 AM
Plus I really need a floor.

Hahaha :-D I think everyone understands your priorities there, Bkk :-)
