You can buy btc with linden at the virwox exchange

Yep, there rates are very bad, and on top of that it still takes up to 48 hours to send the BTC, AND it can only be linden you buy from their site Sad Since linden lab changed their rules you can no longer put your L$ into their terminals. Sucks though seems I was a bit late for all that.
Just used it a few minutes ago to try it out, and yes, the rates are very bad. Payed 20 € through PayPal, bought SLL, bought BTC and in the end I had 15.4 € worth of BTC (according to https://bitcoinaverage.com/#EUR).

Yep, terrible rates at virwox when it comes to BTC. If worse comes to worse though I'll end up using them, even though I will have to wait up to 48 hours. ((Until coinbase finally verifies my bank account.)) Would much rather trade to a person with better rates, and faster speed. If anyone is interested just let me know and we can come to a deal. I'm definitely more than willing to give a more than fair rate!
However, if you already have SLL, you don't have to pay Paypal's fee and the rate for USD to SLL. So maybe it isn't that bad in your case.

Take a photo of your house so they know you're legit
Lol, how would that prove anything, except for that the house exists?

Many exchanges want to verify both your identity and where you live. What should I take a photo of to verify the address where I live?

News from Kapiton:

Quote
Hej!

Mvh
Sebastian Manitski

I predict the price will tank before I'm able to sell my coins on Kapiton. Tongue

Yeah, safello would be 'the killer' with these features:
- Ability to set limits on purchase ("I want to buy for X sek, if the price is <Y SEK")
- Ability to sell BTC (with similar limits).

I suspect, though, that this is altogether a different service. It would mean that I have to put money into my "account" with them, and they would have to hold it until my conditions are met. That kind of service is a lot more complicated than a simple "got money, purchase BTC". Probably different legal rules, but I'm not a lawyer so that's just a guess.
That sounds like an exchange. Wink

...

Seems like Safello only accepts instant payment through Handelsbanken. How long did it take after the purchase for the Bitcoins to arrive at your address?

I tried buying from BTCX and it was very fast and painless. If you purchase for less than 4000 SEK you don't even have to create an account at the site. I did my bank transfer yesterday night and I got the Bitcoins today at ~midday, so it took about 12 hours.

But good observation. BTCX and Safello are more like stores, while Kapiton and FYB-SE are exchanges. Both have their pros and cons.

1 week and still haven't received my coins from Kapiton..

Have read on some websites that many people have had the same troubles. Would'nt surprise me if the owner of the website himself is stealing BTC from now. He says that the hard-drive have crashed or the other person have made a misstake.

Would'nt dare to buy on Kaption after everything i've read from it.
Wow, that sounds horrible. Do you remember where you read that?

I recommend safello.com
I can personally vouche for them.
(please note that I am biased due to involvement in Safello Tongue)

Nice website and reasonable price.

Okey, interesting. However, I do believe Kapiton is one of the larger exchanges in Sweden, but I guess that doesn't say a lot.  Smiley

The courtage is 0.95 % at Kapiton. How does that compare to other sites, such as Bitstamp?

(Regarding language, all Norwegian threads here drive me crazy, and I assume they are driven equally insane by the Swedish threads)

I'm fairly sure that I didn't have to provide any identification when signing up on Kapiton.

Ah, I haven't seen btcx.se before. The site looks very amateurish though.

I once created an account at MtGox, but they wanted a photo of my ID etc. Is it the same practice at Bitstamp? It just feels like such a drag to provide it and get approved. The registration at Kapiton was much simpler. It would also be interesting to hear if you have to pay any bank transaction fees for depositing money at Bitstamp.

BTW, are there any more Swedish alternatives that you are aware of?
13  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: Bästa svenska Bitcoin-exchange? on: November 11, 2013, 12:05:21 PM
Are there any foreign exchanges that work well for Swedes without ridiculous bank transfer fees?
14  Other / Meta / Re: Custom Avatar for myself on: November 10, 2013, 11:31:28 PM
Any plans on re-enabling it?

Seems like Kapiton is closed during the coming week (11th Nov - 17th Nov), src: https://kapiton.se/news/3 and the trading price on FYB-SE is currently much higher: https://www.fybse.se/orderbook compared to http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/kptnSEK

Vilken är billigast och säkrast i Sverige? Jag har använt Kapiton tidigare, men om jag inte minns fel är courtaget rätt högt där. Hade varit kul att höra om det finns något alternativ som svensk.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bubble Popped on: October 24, 2013, 08:02:40 AM
I'm buying back more whenever it dips! But I'm enjoying this extreme volatility  at the moment for profit sake.

So true, traders paradise. Now the price could go under 100
Assuming they rise once again afterwards.

20  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bubble Popped on: October 24, 2013, 07:32:51 AM
During the last 4 hours it have gone from 215 to 185. But honestly, I expected it to rise for at least a couple of more days until the inevitable crash.
