The only thing that's missing in the article is the answer by Eric Schmidt...but the point is: Obama is thinking about bitcoin, probably who introduced it to him was the daily intsums or whatever they're called he gets from the agencies, probably from the FIB because of that whole Silk Road thing. |

I think he means that he will do the 50% sponsoring up to 4000 BTC total deposits, as he also says he has 2000 BTC for this campaign. ...
So: on every account containing at least a total of 10 BTC in ASIC deposits, up to 4000 BTC deposited from now until 31st December, I will deposit 50% of the total amount with my personal funds using that account as a sponsor. I have at least 2000 BTC available for this campaign (not counting those already allocated for those who took advantage of this promotion until now).

So not every deposit of say 4000 gets a 2000 sponsor, but deposits from 10, up to a total of deposits of 4000 BTC, meaning he has to invest 2000 BTC in total. This is not unrealistic. Thank you, I misread it. |
