Were all the bitcoins that MtGox had stolen? Shouldn't the rest go to the people ?
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you store most of your btcs? on: February 28, 2014, 10:14:49 PM

4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Regards to Argentinian crisis - why isn't Btc skyrocketing? on: January 27, 2014, 02:19:26 AM

5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are any serious bears rethinking their posotion? on: December 11, 2013, 01:29:04 AM
Ah, Edward50. You've been a bear since 2011. I remember your early posts!

For example:

Quote from: Edward50
Yes it is finally coming down. It does not make sense at $20. There is no value currenctly in owning this currency other than the long term potential if it does ever make a valid currency.

If you are willing to wait some years and hold it as an investment, it should be priced less than $10 dollars because of the high risk of it failing.

Who ever pays $20 or higher now as a long term investment is way overpaying because of all the risk.

You were right in the short term, very very wrong in the long term.

loool those bears tho
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit $10.000 in Q1 of 2014 ? on: December 10, 2013, 12:30:55 AM
Will it hit in Q1 of 2014.  No.

Will it hit $10K, I think that's inevitable , when exactly is anyone's guess.  It could very well hit 10k by the end of the year(2014) assuming continued adoption of bitcoin.  i.e. imagine when/if google started accepting BTC in their google play store...

if this were to happen i would actually start purchasing paid apps Smiley

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Please help?, I cannot tell if I have encrypted my btc wallet. on: November 28, 2013, 02:14:26 AM

Are you using bitcoin-qt? If so your private keys are stored in wallet.dat.

Edit: Did you buy BTC with bitbargain and transfered them to your wallet? If not I am sure your coins are sitting in your bitbargain wallet.
[/quote]

sorry for derailing the thread but lets say your machine is back doored can a hacker just copy your wallet.dat and use it in his wallet?
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: when should i sell a bitcoin? on: November 27, 2013, 04:37:52 AM
yeah i am definetly a buy and hold guy , i actually bought 5 bitcoins when they were 100usd per and i plan on holding

10  Economy / Speculation / Re: when should i sell a bitcoin? on: November 27, 2013, 12:56:24 AM
the thing is litecoin usually piggy backs off of bitcoins so if there is a brief crash with bitcoin then litecoin will follow
11  Economy / Speculation / when should i sell a bitcoin? on: November 27, 2013, 12:51:22 AM
i moved a bitcoin to btc-e in order to sell it ,and buy litecoins with it once the price of litecoin goes down

the thing is its soo hard to know when it the best time to sell

would 900usd be a good price to go after?

hey guys thanks for taking the time to visit my thread <3

i want to make my first ever BTC transfer and but im unfamiliar with something , im transferring from Mt Gox to another exchange the amount is just under 1 btc and these are my options

 1.    Open Transaction (6 Confirmations)

2.      Pay 0.001BTC Fee For Faster Processing (Required for Transactions below 0.01 BTC)

or can i choose neither?
