How large can a continuous custom block of content that can be embedded in to the blockchain be?

I know Bitcoin is not designed for micropayments. But also knowing almost instant secure transactions are possible with Bitcoin I wonder what would happen to Bitcoin network if people would start using bitcoins for micropayments? Could it still scale or would it become unusable? Maybe transaction fees would raise accordingly and made it unusable for micropayments? |

Is anyone working on implementing fast transactions with double-spend attack detection as proposed by Satoshi? Utilize a 'listening' period prior to rendering the service or good. This has yet to be formally implemented in the standard Bitcoin client, but would allow a vendor to receive the transaction and then monitor the Bitcoin network for a certain period of time (maybe 10 seconds) for possible double spends. Vendors might utilize specialized payment processors with multiple well-connected nodes for this purpose. As explained by Satoshi, the network nodes only accept the first version of a transaction they receive to incorporate into the block they're trying to generate. When you broadcast a transaction, if someone else broadcasts a double-spend at the same time, it's a race to propagate to the most nodes first. If one has a slight head start, it'll geometrically spread through the network faster and get most of the nodes. Therefore, the longer the listening period goes without a double spend attempt, the far less likely a double-spend attempt will actually succeed. If a double-spend is detected, the vendor is notified: no latte. |

Has any of the developers commented on this issue? It sounds like this could potentially be a big problem that could criminalize every bitcoin user. If I understand it correctly: 1. someone can store some illegal data into bitcoin (copyrighted content, child porn ...) 2. he lets everyone know what they are distributing/storing 3. if you continue to use bitcoin you can be charged for distributing/possessing illegal content Could someone with more knowledge about this issue please add some info to: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Weaknesses |

So the idea is to get the basic functionality done on the command line, this will allow others to use it as a library(kind of), once we're happy with the command line client we'll be doing a native GUI.
And then for those more interested in convienience than security a web based client.
Turns out creating installation program for this program is a bit more complicated than I thought it was, so I'm not accepting the job. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I will hover provide a guide about installing it on Windows XP and maybe someone can use this information as a basis for creating a Windows installation program. Thanks again Blitzboom.  |

Build a distribution package (especially for windows) that would be super, I'll pay... 30bitcoin I'm updating that source code at the moment so just let me know if you'll do it and then wait about a day. If I see correctly this a command line program? Are you updating it to include GUI? |

Slovenian is my first language and English is the only other language I know.
Most of the programming I did was in PHP (some in PHP framework Symfony), but I'm also familiar with other programming languages (Python, Perl to name two).
I don't have any code samples I can share, but if you are not satisfied with the results, you don't have to pay.
