Perhaps someone would be willing to buy 20$ worth of LTC off me for PayPal, I wish I could remember the guy that I bought LTC from months ago....lol.

Or maybe someone would even be willing to buy the phone off Ebay for me and just have it shipped to my house? It is 19.95 shipped.
Let me know if anyone can help, thanks again!

5  Economy / Goods / WTB Broken Samsung Galaxy Continuum. (Please Read First) on: June 03, 2013, 05:39:55 PM
I need a Continuum SCH i400 with a busted screen or whatever, heck I don't care if it fell out of a car but just the motherboard has to be good on it. I have one that will not charge or hook to the computer because the mini USB slot is all screwed up.

I do not have a soldering gun that can do anything this small. I saw quite a few on Ebay with busted screens for around 20 USD so I was hoping someone here might have one they could sell me for like 5 LTC or something. I just don't have the cash for Ebay atm.

Thanks in advance,
James

everyone who have massive hashrate is running a botnet
lol
sooooooooooooo smart
I never said that either so thanks for the try but that was a fail.

To start I should be upfront and say aside from building and fixing computers, removing viruses ...etc for the last 14 years I really don't know much about how idiots like Stevelame are allowed to continue raping every new coin. Basically I wonder if there is anyway to give block chains the ability to detect a sudden blast of hashpower all coming from the same pole smoker and somehow ignore his hash power?

Would it be even remotely possible to make the block chain disinfect whatever malware may be coming from all these slave computers or any malware that may be allowing the botnet to happen in the first place? Or maybe a way to completely disable all the hash power from any computers causing a sudden 51% attack on a coin? Even a way for a new wallet to just not allow that client to mine at all until it is taken care of, like a popup that says you need to remove so and so trojan, virus, etc. before you will be able to mine here solo or at a pool.

Even if I am not putting it into words correctly maybe someone will understand what I mean. I'm sorry if I am completely wrong here but it seems to me if some reject can find a way to screw everything up there is usually someone smarter that can fix it if they try. I do understand that a botnet is different computers all over the world but the block chain or some other software can't be made to detect that "wow 500 computers just hit at exactly the same moment" and scan those computers for malicious activities?

Oh and just so you know I like many others think there is way too many altcoins at the moment but I wonder what a scrypt based coin with a really fair start and no raping could actually accomplish. Thanks for your time and sorry if some of you think i'm stupid but my granny always told me there was never any stupid questions so I thought I would at least ask since I know there are some very smart people in this forum.
     Thanks for you time, James

Yeah, good topic, try harder bro.

BTW, I'm stevenlam not stevenlame, so the others that want to search my profile can't find me, lol.
Your the only one of the asshats I have heard of on here and the "lame" was purposeful.  Grin

Alright i'll try to be helpful.

  • The block chain cannot detect malware and remove it, the host will need to fix their own computer.
  • Bot nets use pools, the pool operator will need to take action on that.
  • DGC had a good start, and the newer coins are trying different methods, like no reward for low difficulty.

Lastly the coins need the net hash rate to survive (see the death of BTE) so thinking coins will willing reduce that would be wrong.

I see I guess my thinking is totally off then sorry for wasting a thread space. I didn't think it was IMPOSSIBLE to stop them, that sucks.
I do understand the hash rate keeps them alive but some dick getting 50k coins while a guy with 1500Kh/s has like 500 is bull.

Those two in your profile pic look very much in love, congrats.

Thank you much, we are actually, I met her in 07 and been with her since. Got married in 2011. Got luck with this girl, was with many, many dirty backstabbing whor** before I got lucky enough to meet her.

Sorry about that been up for like 30 hours and usually try harder than that. I split it up some so hopefully it is easier to read.

Cmon guys hash, hash away only 54 blocks to go!

ok cool thanks for the quick response.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] GME | GameCoin - Unofficial fork and Windows QT Client. on: May 26, 2013, 11:44:03 PM
Thank you for the pool, now I just gotta see if it is worth it or not. The payments seem quite small for around 800 Kh/s considering The amount of blocks I have found solo already. Or is this like PPLNS which builds up over time?
16  Bitcoin / Mining support / Home Server Mining Question on: May 26, 2013, 01:16:04 AM
I just recently setup a home server running WHS 2011 which is based off of server 2008 r2. I don't think I need any technical help as I believe I can find most of the info I need by searching the forums. The first thing you should know is normally my PC is the main rig with qt running for whatever I happen to be mining with all 3 of the computers in the house connecting to it. I want my server to handle this now but I am curious if it would be best to use the qt clients or the daemons? At what point do you actually need the daemon is it mostly for just someone running their own pool? Do you guys think a home server with 4GB of memory and a 3 core AM2+ Phenom could handle running a small pool for one of the new alt-coins and still be able to serve my media files and do my computer backups without screwing up the pool? Lastly do I just keep the same wallet.dat on the server and on my pc? I would like to be able to access my wallets without having to remote into the server every time. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer and sorry for all the questions!
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] GME | GameCoin - Unofficial fork and Windows QT Client. on: May 26, 2013, 12:47:44 AM
Ok thank you much for the info, I was just curious what the plans are I didn't realize the original dev completely abandoned it. Well I will keep mining until there is a reason not to, I will definitely stick around however long you guys need me til the difficulty readjust. If the diff is too high right now then I guess when it comes down I will be getting rich, I have found 20 blocks since yesterday.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] GME | GameCoin - Unofficial fork and Windows QT Client. on: May 26, 2013, 12:20:28 AM
Is there an "about" page for this coin somewhere so I can see the point of it? I have been mining it but would like to know what it is meant for. I mean is it only meant for gambling and lottos and things or is it possible it could wind up at exchanges as well? Sorry I just like to read and like to know what I am getting into, it would be great if I could get some more details about this coin. Thanks in advance!

Thanks man for all the help, great guide, yerterday i put all my GPUs runing into the same wallet so now i need a very new currency to test it.
The question now is: the newtwork take it like 4500 khs or 1400 and 1200 and 1000 and 900?

The way I understand it it would be 4500, I can watch 2 of my 3 computers at the same time and remote into the 3rd and when they are all mining solo or p2pool they each hash the same number at the same time, so I think when you do it this way it runs like 1 big hasher allowing you to hash through each number faster instead of each client hashing a different block. Now if you are mining at a pool I believe they all work separately.

As far as what coin you want to hash if I had that much hashing power I would be hashing novacoin and trading it for BTC, that is just my opinion though. If you need help setting up Novacoin p2pool let me know.
