Hello

Its possible that claymore bat send a email to me when miner stopped?

Thanks
Powershell can. Just use the bat to run the shell script.

Also, on most cell carriers there's a way to email-to-txt

Also, here's a snip of my log of them sending the reboot.bat and restarting the miner

One of my miners has been hijacked with Eth Manager  Tongue

https://www.nicehash.com/?p=miners&addr=1D8J2tkRbt5R7TNZKdBYdq8qx2aJDFqU1M

you have yourself a virus. this is a very old address.

damn, any more information on it?

no but ive seen something like this before.. you can search that wallet on here for a thread back in 2015..

if the manager has a way to only allow certain ip addresses id set it to yours only. ive never checked out the manager.

ETHman is just the manager. Any ip anywhere can connect to a miner with the -mport flag on. Everyone using Claymore needs to be setting "-mport 0" to disable the manager or "-mport -3333" to leave the monitoring open.

Did a bit of poking and prodding. This is what I found.
ETHman lets you see the speed/temp of the miner AND send the epools/dpools.bat and reboot.bat remotely and run them. The miner itself defaults to leaving the door open (WTF Claymore?!?). Just get the ip of someone using claymore and do a port scan and you're in.

I'm figuring that's what happened to me. My pools and reboot bats where changed, then the miner was restarted to change the miningpool.

It's was only for about 9 hours, I'm not going to cry about it. BUT its a huge ass hole in Claymore.

This shit needs to be bolded and posted at the top, not hidden at the bottom of the documentation.
Quote
-mport   remote monitoring/management port. Default value is -3333 (read-mode), specify "-mport 0" to disable remote monitoring/management feature.
Specify negative value to enable monitoring (get statistics) but disable management (restart, uploading files), for example, "-mport -3333" enables port 3333 for remote monitoring, but remote management will be blocked.
You can also use your web browser to see current miner state, for example, type "localhost:3333" in web browser.
Warning: use negative option value or disable remote management entirely if you think that you can be attacked via this port!
By default, miner will accept connections on specified port on all network adapters, but you can select desired network interface directly, for example, "-mport 127.0.0.1:3333" opens port on localhost only.

is there a possibility to add user and pwd management to remote monitoring web client?
That would help my paranoia

Is it OK to flash a 256k original factory bios with a 512k modded bios on a Sapphire RX 470 8gb?  I have checked them both in polaris bios editor and the data checks out OK on both.  Only the filesize is different.

doktor83 was kind enough to send me this modded bios but I can't get confirmation from him via PM if it is OK to replace a 256kb factory bios file with a 512kb bios file.

ehhhhhhh It depends but should be okay.  You have a nitro right ?  So you have a dual bios switch ?  if it messes up, switch it to the other bios and you'll be fine.  edit:  if it explodes and leaves a crater where your house was...i'm not responsible Smiley

Well it turns out the different bios size was due to the fact that I was backing up with GPUZ rather than ATIWINFLASH.  I have flashed all my bioses successfully today but I am still getting a niggling problem with the claymore miner crashing on startup. I get the generic windows error " EthDcrMiner64.exe has stopped working, windows will attempt to find a solution online etc...."  i had this problem three days ago before flashing the bioses so I know it can't be that. I managed to get rid of the problem but I can't exactly figure out what I did.

Is it possible to have a problem with a PCIE riser when both Windows Device manager and GPUZ are both reporting that all six cards are working perfectly?    I also tried to add the command -GSER 2 to the startup batch file but it hasn't worked.  The current crimson driver version is 16.7 or 16.8 I think.

I also read this article about bios signature check being re-enabled on crimson 16.12 drivers which means that any polaris edited bioses won't work.  Is this true? https://www.techpowerup.com/228536/amd-bios-signature-check-re-enabled-with-relive-locks-out-polaris-bios-modders

Does anybody have any suggestions how I can get rid of this crashing issue?  I had the miner running for 42 hours straight before today and I want to get this sorted.

Well, only 16.9-16.11 doesn't have bios signing

I'm linux miner, there are so many different between my effective hashrate and reported hashrate.
WHY?
@Claymore

Anyone help?

Looks like only one card works
Looks like he's getting about the right amount of shares though?

Given the amount of stale shares, you might want to find a closer server

Hi guys, I have a problem, I search it in the thread and I couldn't find anything.

I recently build this:

MSI Z97 Gaming 5
I5 4K
Sapphire RX480 8Gb Nitro+ OC
1200w Corsair HX supply power
16Gb Kingston DDR3
SSD Samsung 256Gb
...

So, when I start mining, I lost the wifi connection from all of my devices... when I was mining with 2 RX on my last mobo, an asus, I have no problems before...

Could be the drivers?
Only happens when the claymore start to mine...

When you say "all of my devices", you mean in the room/building?

Yes sir, only when the EthDcrMiner64.exe starts

Huh. I'm assuming you're using a router and not providing wifi from the miner.
Is the router on the same power strip? Maybe even the same breaker?
If it isn't and it's purely an RF interference issue... something is stepping on the FCC's toes. Find it and RMA it. That's kind of a long shot.

Gonna need more info.

With all of my devices I mean my TV and the smartphones, all devices that are connected wireless get disconnected when EthDcrMiner64.exe starts.

I'm using a router, my miner is connected with a wire. Yes the router is on the same power strip. But it was connected before with my last computer and my wifi was perfect.
Yeah, move your router.

I am confused about the claymore command line. I am trying to configure nanopool but do I have to add their payment address as well as mine?

for example

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 0x52bc44d5378309ee2abf1539bf71de1b7d7be3b5 -ewal mypaymentaddress/workername/email -mode 1

The bold underline is what I am not sure about.   Do I have to add nanopool's payment address as well as mine.  If I do is it in the correct place in the above command?
No. No you don't.

Any idea what might be going wrong here? I'm a newbie and just trying this on my existing Windows 10 PC with 16 GB RAM and 1GB Nvidia Geforce 610. I'll eventually get this onto a different platform but just playing around at the moment. I already allocated 16GB virtual storage as was recommended when other's had this basic same error message:

CUDA error - cannot allocate big bugger for DAS, Check readme.txt for possible solutions.

I'm not sure if this card is supported but I didn't see any mention of the minimum video memory size required to run.

There's a command for cards with less than 4gig of ram, might not support a card as low as 1gig

Seems like drivers/Radeon some how occasionally crashes when I lose my connection to pool/internet  Huh
I've only seen this happen once a few weeks ago. It's not common or any sort of priority, I'm just putting this out there.

5x470
Win7x64
Radeon 16.10.2 for bios mod and trying to get 6x, seems fine Roll Eyes

So here's what I can see happen in the logs.
Miner loses connection to the pool (confirmed on second rig). Reconnect fails after 20 seconds, half a second later GPU3 is down, 6 seconds later all 5 are down. Eventually temp/fan speed is polled and GPU4's fans aren't spinning, it's not hot, but wth? Eventually get a few "Got incorrect temperature -101, ignore". 10 minutes later it reconnects, 5 seconds later it fails to connect for Devfee, connects second try. Reports 0.000 MH/S on all cards. Devfee ends, connects to main, zero hashrate. ~50 seconds after first reconnecting the log ends, presumed blue screen.
