1  Economy / Exchanges / Coinbase withdrawal BTC issues on: September 12, 2017, 11:27:14 AM
Hey,

Has anyone been having issues withdrawing their bitcoins from Coinbase?

I should preface this with that I haven't had any issues with many transactions from and to coinbase.

I purchased around 2.5k from my credit card and the transaction has been completed. There's no indication that it is waiting for the funds to arrive or anything.

My balance has been updated and it opens up with a pop up to fill in details for withdrawal. Once clicking submit button, it just circles and then stops. The transaction will never completes.

The information around this are useless and can't even contact anyone about it this particular functionality.

It would be great if you could clarify. Only thing I can think of is that it's from a cc so has three day transaction?

AFAIK that message indeed means "Hot wallet empty" (I suggested some time ago to improve that message to make it more clear too.)

OK- tried it after the 10th time.. finally worked!!!

Not sure what the issue is but I agree, should be clearer on what the error is to stop the users from panicking. Cheesy

I have just tried to withdraw some btc from my account but it isn't working. It just keeps coming up with errors and I emailed Sam at SafeDice admin email only to suggest to try again and he put more coins in hot wallet.

but still not resolved. I transferred 3BTC to start off with initially and I waited for 22 confirmations before trying to move another 7BTC but it failed.

Can anyone clarify why I am not able to withdraw the BTC?! Thanks in advance.

I am not sure why you are experiencing withdrawal issues. Possible 2FA errors? Because someone just deposited a large amount of coins that was invested. Which goes into the hot wallet I assume. You can see from https://dicesites.com/safedice that there should be 43 btc in the hotwallet (bankroll - cold storage wallet).

Sure, but I did it succesfully the first time around. Then tried to move the rest over after 2hrs.

This message keeps coming up "Something went wrong, please try again or contact us via email in the FAQ section."

Tried to use a different walllet or different numbers. Nothing works. Couldnt be a 2FA authentication as I'm able to log in fine using the 2FA and I'm not using 2FA for withdrawals.

The site won't let me login anymore.  Is there a way to reset my password or remember my username? Every site let's the username be saved but waged ice doesn't? I have money on the site I want to access.
You can send an email to (safedice@protonmail.ch) and ask the ways to recover your account, i think you'll probably have to sign a message from an old/recent  bitcoin address.

As he said please send an email to address above and the Admin will be glad to help you!

Email sent thanks

@ John00 did you get a reply yet abut your account? Lost access to my account and I sent mine yesterday afternoon and still no communication whatsoever. There's not even any admind/mods in the chat.

Getting a bit twitchy now.

Sorry for the wait. The Admin will get back to you as soon as he can. Don't worry these issues always get resolved. And we only have a few mods and I was asleep Wink

OK, phew. Good to know!! thanks for the assurance.  Grin

Sorry to make you guys wait, I should've replied to all of your emails. If somehow you haven't received it, please PM me here with your email address and your question.

Any news yet about the paying out yet? Heard that there would be some progress in September?
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Effects of Bitcoin on: November 21, 2013, 01:10:58 PM
I would add a line at the end along the theme of "Were the UK Financial Compliance Agency to facilitate Bitcoin, considerable billable work would arise helping companies incorporate Bitcoin as a payment option on websites and in retail environments."

Oh, that is a great line! Definitely will be adding that in, thanks!

Also, there's a few exchanges you are correct but Bitstamp is still in Slovenia, which still takes 2 weeks to process bank transfers via SEPA IIRC. In addition, there is a new exchange called Coinfloor- it's abiding with the HRMC and all the regulations but no-ones touching it with a bargepole though. I'd be interested in seeing that link if it's still floating about. Smiley

I will revise the anonymity bit then. I'd heard about CoinValidator but I don't know if anyone was taking it seriously. I only heard about it on Reddit and didn't hear it from here.

Green light might have been the wrong phrase, I meant there have been quite a significant amount of positive comments from the Senate which will only add to Bitcoin credibility.  Smiley

I have an interview tomorrow with PwC and I have to present a business news that is technology related and how it affects everything and PwC in general. So I'm going to be talking about Bitcoin!  Grin

I would like some confirmation that some of this actually makes sense business-wise.

/ this para is for my interviewers benefit
Bitcoin is certainly very interesting, it is a digital currency that is decentralised, removing the need for banks, instant payments (minutes) with no fees and most importantly, anonymity is the main feature. Bitcoin provides a much needed improvement on the current system where we depend on the banks for our economy.

Currently UK/USA do not have any solid exchanges that people can buy into straight away, so often have to resort to off-land exchanges from Japan and Slovenia. This results in fiat transactions taking a while and put off quite a few people from actually entering Bitcoin mrket itself. And at the moment, China is joining the train and Bitcoin is exploding as a result and is having a fair amount of media exposure. It was essential for US Senate to give Bitcoin the green light (as they did couple days ago) and allow new regulations/laws (esp how much Btc can be earned before being taxed, etc) to be imposed on Bitcoin in the US which could possibly encourage new exchanges to be set up. The UK should follow the US on this topic.

If Bitcoin were to be given the green light in the UK, it would affect PwC in many ways. For the auditing/taxing department, everyone would have to be educated in Bitcoin to make sure they truly understand it and weave through the new regulations/rules to ensure their clients are safe. In addition, the cyber IT risk security team would have to expand their area to include Bitcoin which could use a lot more improvements to ensure heightened security for their clients who may be dealing with significant transactions. PwC consulting teams would have to help the banks to include Bitcoin and redefine themselves in order to retain their customers that are dealing in Bitcoin.

If anything is totally wrong with this, please give me a heads up. I am keen to get this right. Smiley

Is there any reason for my being banned from the site for the hour? It has now been over 2 hours now. The banning of IP addresses was stupid. I was going to divest again before Celeste had his winning steak!! So why was I accused of having suspicious activity?

EDIT-  I cant believe the luck celeste has been having on the site! I dread to see how much my profits have gone into the red!   Undecided

Wait what? I thought it was just the jalapenos that had been confirmed to be shipping out, not the little single 30gH/s miners? A lot of conflicting information here! Could someone clarify this, please? Smiley

Why is USA shown as currently as $180 but GBR is £86! According to xe.com, this isn't quite right! Are htey both slow in updating the rest of the currencies or something?

=edit- is this the lag everyone was talking about earlier?
