1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right or Wrong Way :How did you start your gambling journey and how is it going? on: September 19, 2025, 03:36:57 PM
The fun in gambling comes from know the reality about it and choosing to do it moderately. In my estimation, I started to gamble because of the stories of wins that were being shared all around me and I wanted to find out myself. It wasn't about wanting to have fun at the time because if I wanted to, I could have just continued to play my PS5.
How it is going so far? Well I can say very good. I did make a lot of dumb mistakes in the beginning but all thanks to the forum and the discussions here, I am past that now.
Most teenagers that I meet in physical betting places share the same story. They said sports games exposed them to gambling. I guess that they were exposed to gambling ads in these video games, or they were betting among themselves. It is common to see even children who are less than twelve years old placing bets on who would win a video game match or fight.
It is no surprise though a little disappointing but we know that since kids are nowadays more knowledgeable about online stuff, it is easy for them to be influenced this way. Kids nowadays grow up to be into online too much. The parents should at least try to not make their kids used to using gadgets and educate them about the dangers of the internet even at a young age.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin market situation. on: September 19, 2025, 02:55:43 PM
Many new Bitcoin investors are confused, they are wondering whether it is a good time for them to buy and hold Bitcoin at this time.? We know that Bitcoin is currently in a volatile market, which is why we have seen Bitcoin fluctuate between 112k and 116k for several weeks. Which is why many Bitcoin investors are confused about accumulating more Bitcoin. I mean should they buy Bitcoin at this time?
Bitcoin is expected to still rise in price especially later these months before the year ends and this price of bitcoin may be the lowest we will see it for the rest of the year. Or at least that is the ideal situation and of course we have got to take advantage of that possibility so if you are asking me whether people should buy or not... my answer is a yes.
Quote
Anyway, I bought $963 worth of Bitcoin a few weeks ago for 107,000×0.009 dollars..But it is currently making quite a profit from my purchase, which is why I am thinking of depositing some more Bitcoin with it. Especially since I have seen comments from some experienced people where they are constantly discussing Bitcoin, and they are predicting that Bitcoin can hit 130k to 140k within 2025.

Do you think it would be right for me to buy Bitcoin at this time? I am waiting for your comments.
Since you already have some bitcoin, this will be a good time to accumulate more bitcoin.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin’s fixed supply cap create inequality over time? on: September 19, 2025, 02:15:00 PM
Those who acquired bitcoin in early days got larger share in less price. Later when there are very less bitcoins left to be mined and prices are astronomically high, it will be hard to acquire even fractions of bitcoins. Where is equality concept associated with bitcoin then ?
The fact that you can still buy bitcoin even for a few fractions of it allows all of us to be all given a chance to hold bitcoin no matter where you stand in life. You can be a holder of bitcoin and acquire more gradually and eventually get more. Also the fact that there is no authority to dictate which one of us get to have bitcoin and which ones don't. Like in a bank, not everyone can open an account and hold their money there because banks have specific requirements but you can hold bitcoin in any wallet or exchange.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin truly decentralized if mining power is concentrated in a few regions on: September 19, 2025, 01:36:09 PM
I heard that most of the miners are located in China. Thus we can say that most hash power is controlled by some regions. Can we still call Bitcoin decentralized if its backbone infrastructure is so centralized?
You heard it where? Please let us know the source so we can check if there is any truth in what you say because one search tells me that a lot are in America and not in China since mining was banned in China way back in 2021. But does this mean it is no longer decentralized? No. Of course not. The fact that bitcoin operation can't be halted just because one point was attacked makes it decentralized. There is no one point in which you can attack that would make bitcoin crash. So I do not know what you are talking about.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering casino bonus on: September 19, 2025, 01:04:00 PM
Casinos usually give these bonuses to attract people. I also received the same bonus. At first, I played low-value games to prolong my fun; I wasn't interested in winning anything.
Then I played higher-value games on Plinko, too, and eventually lost everything.
With these bonuses, which I use regularly when they're given to me on other platforms, I've never managed to win enough to withdraw.
Casinos give bonuses but not enough that you are to make profit off of it. It is already hard to win bonuses because usually they have so many requirements for you to reach before they even give you that bonus and when you have it, it is not much help either. But still anything free makes our brain happy and excited and think that the casino is a good one just because they are giving us a bonus no matter how small.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why some countries gamble more than the others? on: September 18, 2025, 10:42:31 PM
The untied States generates the highest gambling revenue in the whole world so you are right in the aspect of that money part...But when it comes to the population of gamblers I'm not entirely sure but I think the highest amounts should be from African countries, just as you described, they gamble because they are looking for means to survive, these are countries where job opportunities are scarce
Poor people out of desperation tend to gamble just so they can have something to serve on the table. It’s totally unsustainable and will almost always end up in a disaster. Gambling can’t be a substitute to actually working.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin surged amid Fed Cuts on: September 18, 2025, 10:36:44 PM
This rally has sparked discussions about Bitcoin's potential to break past the $120,000 mark with some analysts predicting a continuation of the upward trend.

Would Bitcoin continue with the current trajectory ?
I believe yes. Most people were worried about bitcoin dropping with institutional news happen in each country but particularly in the US. But we can see now that bitcoin can withstand anything and at this point there could be new aths with how bitcoin continues to play at around $120k.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: From $0.9B to $10.9B: Sports Betting Skyrockets in the U.S. on: September 18, 2025, 10:27:01 PM
I was checking some stats and this one really caught my eye. In 2019, legal sports betting in the U.S. only made around $0.9B. Fast forward to 2023, and it already hit $10.9B in revenue. That’s more than a ten-fold jump in just four years. Total wagers? Over $119B placed by Americans last year.

That’s a pretty crazy jump. You’d think that the first number was recorded 50 years ago. It makes me wonder if they have hit the ceiling or is there more room for them to rise up. What else can they do in like the next 5 years?
Quote

Makes me wonder, what’s fueling this surge? Is it mainly:

* more states opening up to legal betting,
*the convenience of mobile apps and live wagering,
*or nonstop marketing that made betting feel “normal” already?
I believe that convenience of online betting has made this possible not to mention that during the pandemic, all people did was try to find entertainment and that’s what they got from gambling.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not judge the book by its cover on: September 18, 2025, 10:13:16 PM
Those that dress such way are those that attend seminar or are assigned to speak in a social gathering concerning Bitcoin and it's usage while the real getters, I mean those bagging lots of it are hidden and not well known, they are actually those that doesn't make noise about their portfolio or try to convince the crowd to come learn crypto.
You are right. Those who just mind their own business are the ones who end up focusing on their own investments and end up succeeding. They don’t really prioritize having to spread the information to others so long as they are getting what they want.
Quote
I've noticed many seminar done are actually luring people to come pay trading fees.
We have to check who are the sponsors for those seminars because they might just be wanting profit that is why they made that seminar.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Dealing with the bear market season of Bitcoin on: September 17, 2025, 10:52:28 PM
A bear market can be considered a season where asset prices drop drastically, I most cases can be tied to economic phenoms like the increase in the general price level of goods and services (inflation)
Bear market is not tied to anything more than people are selling because of the sentiment they have for bear market to occur, it has nothing to do with inflation.
Inflation happens whether bear market is on or not. Even if bitcoin is at a bull run, inflation continues and affects a lot of things.

Quote
Would you increase your usage during this period, knowing the bear market may just be seasonal, do you see it as an opportunity? Or would you decide to sell?
I try to buy as much as I can during this opportunity because the price is low and the market is not that competitive but we know that it will be in a matter of years so I try to think and plan a little too ahead.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: World economic system, survival of the fittest. on: September 17, 2025, 10:30:32 PM

The world is getting closer to that day as more people wake up but there is still a long way to go for the lulled people to realize what's going on around them. .

Yeah but they won't stand together but fight each other.
Small but significant difference.
The title says it all. Survival of the fittest. So people will try to fight for themselves as much as possible even if this means having to step down on others. I do not know if there will ever be time when literally everyone can unite. It seems a little impossible.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin hard for people to understand? on: September 17, 2025, 09:39:10 PM

I've noticed that very few people truly understand Bitcoin or see what I see in it. I've always wondered why it's so hard for people to grasp the essence of Bitcoin.
Yesterday, I came across a really good video that explains why it's so difficult for people to understand Bitcoin.
Why people find it hard to understand is either because they actually lack interest or just lazy. The truth is that some may have a bit of an advantage if they are already knowledgeable about technology and such but anyone interested or eager can easily study and understand bitcoin in my opinion. All the resources are available online and it can be learned definitely.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Living With Bitcoin’s Ups and Downs Over the Years on: September 17, 2025, 09:13:48 PM
When I first discovered Bitcoin, every move in price felt like a life-changing event. A $500 drop made me panic, a $1,000 pump made me think I was set for life. Over time, though, the way I look at it has changed.
When you have been in the space for quite some time, you get to realize that sometimes a dip or a rise is just part of the natural movement of the market and doesn't really mean anything significant over time. Sometimes bitcoin can drop and I don't panic and try to sell it right away. I just see the price and take note of it, try to understand why, and find when could be the next time it will bounce back.
Quote
What’s interesting is how the excitement has shifted. For me, it’s no longer about chasing the next all-time high, but watching how Bitcoin slowly becomes part of everyday conversations, companies, and even policies. It feels less like an experiment now, and more like something permanent.
Maybe if you are a trader, that short term excitement still lives on. Do not get me wrong, bitcoin still excites me but as said some price movements don't really mean anything for the long term and is just a random movement lol. When you are too excited you might end up making decisions you would otherwise have not done.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Do not judge the book by its cover on: September 17, 2025, 08:48:33 PM
Some people might visualize bitcoin supporters as those who wear suits and look like finance bros. People might think that you must be so rich and educated to work in something related to bitcoin or invest in bitcoin. But some of you may be shocked that this is not the case at all. Even the most normal people whom you will never think is into bitcoin can be into bitcoin.

You may encounter someone who may not look so rich and only living a quite comfortable life but not totally a luxurious one that is into bitcoin. This is how I believe that bitcoin is indeed for everyone because it is not only the rich ones are into bitcoin nowadays.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and developing countries; a great match on: September 17, 2025, 08:21:16 PM
As Bitcoin's popularity increases, it's major importance, impact and adoption will be mostly felt in unstable economies.

In the near future expect to see more Prominence of Bitcoin in countries and cities where there is a great need for innovation and change
It is a bit unfortunate if those countries who need it the most i.e those countries who are quite lacking in innovation and development were late to bitcoin. The big countries or those who are already leaders of the industry get to be the one to take advantage of bitcoin a lot first because they are decisive and have the resources. If only these countries, no matter how difficult, try to get in on with bitcoin then they will surely reap the rewards in the future.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possibility of bitcoin pushing forward this year on: September 17, 2025, 08:01:09 PM
Is there any possibility that bitcoin could push forward to 120k dollars to 135k dollars unders the condition that momentune and institutional interest need to continue
You should know that by now nothing is impossible with bitcoin. You said it yourself that should momentum and institutional interest continue you know that it is possible. I never doubt bitcoin especially in the right conditions. It never fails to deliver. It is now at $115k at time of writing so $120k is not honestly so far away. I believe it can be easily achieved and that it won't even be the peak of a bull run. It can be higher.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: The economy of having children on: September 16, 2025, 02:39:28 PM
Children aren't expensive; life is expensive.
Well children is life and life is children. I know no parent who was able to only pay for few expenses for their child. Even if that child ends up to be a scholar in school, there is still the healthcare and food and clothes and etc. that are all expensive and even more so today.
Quote
They need to be cared for like anyone else. The initial expenses are higher, but over time they become less so. Above all, they need to be loved, they need affection and attention, and they are content with that, not with things. We are the ones who think that to be happy we need many things. What's the point of a life full of things and without love, in solitude?

Note: I'm not saying money isn't important; it's essential. But it's not just money that we need to raise a child; it takes much more than just money.
Some parents unfortunately actually do not think this way. Both are as equally important but some parents only focus on one or the other. A kid should grow up in an environment where both is present.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: politicians gambling on: September 16, 2025, 01:41:58 PM
when we talk about politicians who were exposed for their crazy gambling habits we tend to talk about corruption but let us talk about hypocrisy

in the philippines, the government is trying to lower the rates of where the filipinos gamble especially in online spaces but what does it say if the very politicians trying to push for fighting against gambling are also the ones exposed for playing? is it not ironic?Huh?

There is a rule that you are not allowed to visit much more to play if you are a government official in the Philippines. This is the reason that they fake their identity, because they will face administrative charges and forfeit all their benefits as a government official.
In the Philippines, even if you are found guilty of any crime granted you can still run for a government position and even win! This is how broken the system of the country is. These rules really do not mean much anymore. Kids of these corrupt politicians can even publicly flaunt their wealth but no one has really bat an eye until now. Or at least I hope so.
Quote
There are reports that these accused government officials are playing in casinos to launder their money coming from the government. And when you have so much easy money at your disposal, you will not hesitate to gamble it away. These people are heartless government officials and deserve to be in jail.
There are many ways to launder money from government projects to businesses. Yes casinos are one place to do it. But I think a lot of them are genuinely playing. Who wouldn't want to!!! As you said, when you have that much money it will be fun to gamble all that and just take more from the country.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is in position to feel the regret? on: September 15, 2025, 11:20:39 PM
Since last week this incident occured, my friend had been a complaint still feeling that chances he would had made it big win if not for his cash out.
So I am to ask, between me and my friend who is in position to feel this regrets regarded that I won nothing and he made some cash out ?
It is natural for both of you to have regrets. This is not a competition. Of course you will say that he had the better situation out of the two because he was the one who was able to still walk away with at least a little bit of money but if we are to be honest, you can't really get it out of his system since he imagines the life he would have had if he did not cash out.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Does intent matter? on: September 15, 2025, 10:41:48 PM
There are a lot of new investors in the space currently. Almost everyone now knows of bitcoin. Some too well while some maybe not too much. But for the people who buy bitcoin, I am sure we all have different reasons for wanting to buy. Does the intention why you bought bitcoin in the first place matter?

I would say yes. If your intent is to keep up with the trends and make easy money then you are most likely to give up immediately and be attacked by FUD easily. But if you truly believe in bitcoin and its fundamental characteristics then you can stick with it against the bear market.
