After I recovered my Trezor hardware wallet with the same seed as before, I cant access my U2F enabled Bitfinex account any more.
I do not see how to recover from that. Is recovering the password enough or do I have to reach their support site? Recovering the password halts any withdrawals for 5 days.

I had withdrawn bigger amounts of Bitcoin many times before and I never have had this issue before.
In the Withdrawal Settings I don't see any limits.

Two days ago I attempted to withdraw my Bitcoin funds from Bitfinex. Since then, my Bitcoins are completely locked up at Bitfinex.
It says : Withdraw approved December 07, 2017 22:58. It is now queued for processing and will complete soon (subject to spending limits of the account).
And I can NOT cancel it, there is no button.
I already submitted a ticket yesterday but no response.

Yes you are right. I guess the miners have incentive to replay transactions.

Interesting, and why is that?

Is it possible to protect against replay protection by the following simple steps:

1. Send your coins on one side of the forked chain into any address that you own.
2. Wait until the transaction is confirmed.
3. If during that time you get replayed, go back to step one. You still have access to all of your coins since you own the private key.
4. If you are not replayed, send the coins on the other chain to a different address.
5. Wait until confirmed... done, your coins are split.

Is that correct?

Is there no easy way to translate the passphrase into a private key or is there a wallet where I can import that passphrase?

I have made a 12-word backup passphrase that according to blockchain.info gives me full control of my funds. However, I did not find out yet how to convert the passphrase into a private key. I tried sha256[passphrase] but this did not produce addresses holding my funds. Nor did I find any wallet that would let me import the passphrase.

The reason I want to do that is because I want extract the "Bitcoin Cash" from my funds.

Of course the title might be somewhat immodest but it helped to get your attention anyway.

I would like to start a project in the bitcoin space but have not the resources in terms of time and expertise to do it all alone. So I am looking for one innovative minded ambitious partner who is interested to work on a project that might push bitcoin to the next state.

I am talking about implementing a specific protocol that runs entirely on top of bitcoin. It is about tokens, similar as for example counterparty. But I propose a new approach on how to implement such a protocol. Besides that, I already have several well thought-out applications in mind that will make use of this protocol which are in a way quite revolutionary.

I am looking for a programmer, who has a good understanding of how the basics of bitcoin work and thinks has the resources to work on a project that might become something large if successful. The project-idea exhibits some financial perspectives altough to what extend and when it will materialize is uncertain. It is more about implementing a new idea that may become the foundation of a new movement in the bitcoin space.

If you are interested just write something about you and why you think you might make up a good partner for my ideas.

Of course all this has been very unspecific. Once I gain trust in you we can talk more specific.

When I am doing a transaction and I send my signed tx to the network. Could someone else take that transaction and add a additional signed input to the tx. So this would mean that my tx gets coinjoined without my approval, would that be accepted by the network?

Is this index the same in every UTX database on every full node? So can I retrieve the tx_index from blockchain.info and then query with this index on any other index database and get the same transaction?
