Hi there, have problem wit synchronisation of my Eleos zen wallet.
I already deleted all block dat etc, but when sync reaches 88% - it stucks here... and no progress at all for hours
upd - sure i have 0.0.9 version of wallet
I am using the Swing wallet latest version (0.70.3) and it syncs fine with no issues.
On a separate note: the Swing wallet needs some serious adjustments with regards to resource utilization. It has high CPU & RAM usage and my CPU temperature goes upto 85 C which is dangerous. I didn't notice that on my computer also, I will check to see how much resources are used and I will let you know |

Can multiple secure nodes be ran on one system? If not what about thru multiple virtual machines on the same system?
I dont think that would be a problem as long you meet the requirements. One node one wallet and it may be good to have one IP for each node. If I understand well the requirements, it's only one node per IP... So mutliple virtual machines with diff IP should work... |

anyone else still having issues with eleos 0.9. Updated, and imported the wallet and still all my coins are missing. When checking it, it changed the wallet.dat to a different file wallet.numbers.bak and then just never loads any coins within the wallet. Just sits at a 0 balance, and a 96 kb file, when the wallet.dat im trying to inport is over 600 kb.
I use the Swing wallet for windows and it works very well. I don't know about eleos, sorry :/ |

I am mining and buying only ZEN at the moment.
Why?
1. Because I was long time holder of darkcoin/DASH from the early beginning and I am recognizing now the very similar situation with ZEN. (you can see my history on btctalk as well from 2014.)
2. Plans for masternodes (MNs) are much more improved in terms to DASH and only 42 coins would be necessary to run them, so I am advising you to buy/mine at least that amount.
3. Since MNs are going to need more resources then DASH MN and only 3.5% will be profit stream distributed to MNs, I am assuming that price must be much higher of a coin in order to sustain the costs.
Example :
Every month around 200 000 new coins are being mined
3.5% from 200 000 coins are going to be distributed to MNs total around 7000 coins
If they plan to have between 1000 to 5000 MNs as a enough security layer then income for future MNs would looks like:
1000 MNs ..... 7 ZEN per MNs per month
3000 MNs ..... 2.33 ZEN per MNs per month
5000 MNs ..... 1.4 ZEN per MNs per month
If we follow DASH path, I am thinking at least 5000 MNs will be put in place to run!
You can calculate yourself what price of ZEN has to be in order to run MN!
My projection is at least 20 USD ... most likely in the first year 50 USD.
Don't miss this great opportunity!

hi guys can you help me.
i used my bittrex wallet for my mining @ zenmine pool.
unfortunately bittrex wallet since yesterday is in maintenance and i am missing about 9 zen.
can i still recover it or not?

Problem is that bittrex's support is not responding or just sending proper faq topic which says almost nothing. As far as I'm aware you will be able (I have about 20 ZEN "stuck in the middle") to receive your coins because last block height synced in bittrex wallet is 132510. After they will finish maintenance it should sync blockchain. But when or if it will happen... nobody knows Bittrex is a good exchange, I never had problem with it compare to Poloniex for example. Just be patient guys.. |

Probably because there is no activity and developer team does not responding. Wait, you are in the wrong thread probably, because nobody shares your opinion here. We are all on waiting mode in expecting some good news from the team. Dead currency.
Useless post No, he will open his eyes one day and will realize what chances he missed.  The team already gave good news. Zen got bad launch it's true, but when you see the team now, the work that is going to be made, the futur launch of masternodes, how can you think that it's a dead currency ? It's just a young currency with bad beginning but experienced team with a lot of things to do. Price doesn't reflect the backside work. Yes, I think he will open his eyes one day... |

I read on twitter there is some shadiness towards history of ZENs developers. I can not find much info. tough, can somebody shed some light on this.
Ok guys. ZenCash has been created with a fork of the ZClassic (ZCL) blockchain. People who got zclassic before the fork have been credited on the ZenCash network of the same amount of zclassic they got. (If I got 10 ZCL, at launch of ZenCash I have 10 Zen). The fork has been made at block 110 000 of the Zclassic blockchain. The launch of the ZenCash network was scheduled on May 23th 2017 but dev got some troubles at the beginning so they delayed it on May 30th 2017. After the launch, it's true that the main dev left the team. But the team made a lot of work and I suggest you to visit the website https://zensystem.io/ to see how the team is. There is experienced people and (if I understand well) more dev than before. So yes, the launch of ZenCash wasn't the best (severals delay and dev who left) but the team did the job and now I think that we can be much more confident with them. Personaly, I am much more confident. |

Team should consider to employ one member who will be here for public relations this way investors can be in direct touch with the team here not only on slack. This member should be here on daily basis to answer all questions and to keep comunity tight. This way investor will be more protected from the FUD.
Also this way bitcointalk comunity can be more included in project, and project will get more transparency and legitimity.
I'm agree with you. People who don't know what is ZenCash will go first on bitcointalk (this is what I do). And if there is no activity here or if there is no good answer to questions, they will have a false idea of the project... |

Up 22.63% in last 24 hours on coinmarketcap. Looks like we hit bottom. I ask myself again, is there another feasible zkSNARKs competitor to Zcash other than ZenCash? I can't think of one. Value buy.

Our goal is to decentralize sooner rather than later, and part of that is creating a community organization that’s above any individual. Meet the Zen Blockchain Foundation, a Delaware-based nonprofit corporation formed last week.
The Board of Directors for the nonprofit are those we formerly launched as being part of either the Core Team or the DAO officers: yours truly (Robert Viglione), Rolf Versluis, Jane Lippencott, Steven Nerayoff, and Carlo Vicari. These are founders and those with deep experience building cryptocurrencies from the ground up.
Community funds will flow through the nonprofit so there’s a formal entity instead of individuals handling resources, and the entity will have authority to enter into contracts using those resources. Now we can actually start hiring people and paying them for their hard work.
The Zen Team is Growing
What a lot of people don’t seem to realize is that our team is stronger than ever. Yes, we lost our lead dev a few weeks ago, but now we have a much more solid technical team that includes core blockchain support from IOHK’s Team Veritas; the team is led by Prof. Roman Oliynykov, Ph.D (cryptographer, IT security researcher, and developer of the the Kalyna block cipher and the Kupyna function), and includes Dmytro Kaidalov Ph.D (cryptographer & software developer) and Andrii Nastenko, Ph.D (cryptographer & IT security expert).
Additionally, on the tech team we have our own much-beloved devs you’ve probably all interacted with in Slack: Lukáš Bureš (PhD candidate in cybernetics and all-around nice guy!), Jake Tarren (Red Team Engineer at NASA), @anarch3 (project maintainer and one of our consistent go-to guys), @cronic (infrastructure and deployment pipeline), Mike Lorey (Web dev), Gustavo Fialho (Web dev and community support), and Simran Dhillon (Web / graphic design, asset management, and front-end development).
We’re fortunate to have Rosario Pabst helping out all over the place, and she has 12+ years of software project management experience (an M.S in systems engineering and a PMP), and Allan Dumaine with decades of software PM experience who will be managing the secure node development.
Successful projects have a wide range of motivated talent, partnerships, and advisors. We couldn’t be more grateful to Charles Hoskinson, the CEO of IOHK, for supporting the project. I personally believe it's around bottom now in relationship to the general altcoin market. I think there's enough development activity at present, the funding model is piling up ZenCash for development, and most downside risk priced in. As time goes on, IF dev milestones keep getting hit and hit right, there is upside risk not yet priced in. I'd be much more comfortable buying ZenCash than most other alts now, because I view the downside risk as lower (ie. we're near bottom).
The main remaining risk I see is the general risk of significant altcoin-wide declines - has happened last week or two already, I could see there may or may not be another 20% selloff in the market in general. If that happens, I don't expect ZenCash to underperform, but I do expect it to decline with everything else.
We should know if there's a more significant altcoin market correction within two to three weeks. After that, I cannot think of a glaring obvious downside risk.
Developments like nodes, wallets, IPFS et cetera are all upside risks, but probably in the weeks to months to a year timeframe.

i missed the opportunity to get Zen with zclassic. i forgot to check the blockexplorer. i will buy some but i am not sure how much the price will fall. i am expecting it to rise to the same as zcash. time will tell...
i agree on roadmap, it is very important for the investors and makes the project more serious.
Impossible to call the bottom, but it has been bouncing around this same price most of the day today. A lot of accumulation over the past several weeks at much higher prices, and only 1.6 million coins in circulation so perhaps it's near a bottom now. I guess we'll know soon enough. Agree. [I think] Price is very low now, so I buy some more coin. Just have to wait. The project is very promising and is very young so let it time to progress |

y haven't i received my zencash in my bittrex account? I thought the swap was supposed to happen 30th May?
No the swap was not supposed to happen on 30th May, it has been done on the 110000 block. The launch was supposed to start one 23th May but it has been delayed on 30th May. So sorry but you won't get any zen if you don't buy it or if you didn't get ZCL before block 110000. |
