Hi, I'm mining zcash with dstminer with 6 gtx 1060 Msi gaming x plus 6gb and getting about 340sols with settings: power limit 70%, core clock +100, mem clock +450. I just bought power meter to measure power consumption from the wall and its showing about 830w which is way too high for that power limit. I then tried to change power limit (higher and lower) with MSI AB, and power consumption barely changes even when I go to 100%. Then I figured no matter what power limit I set, voltage remains about 1050mv, so I guess I'm not changing anything with that power limit slider.
Any suggestion?

Your power slider should be affecting the watts your cards drain. Maybe it's the bios of the cards not being affected by changes you make in the OC software? I had similar issue on a 970 evga with dual bios, with voltage control though. It also depends on your PSU efficiency. Try lowering power limit to 60% or 55% even and see if then power from wall drops below 800w. Just so you know if the slider is really not working. Make sure to apply settings to all cards. When I lower power limit to 50% then power consumption drops to 680w and voltage in MSI shows 930-950mv, but almost every other power limit shows the same voltage and power consumption from the wall. Even when i pushed it to 104% from 70%, power consumption remained 830w and again cards at 1050mv. What is the problem? Check you haven't set 'Force constant voltage' in AB settings Of course not... |

I have been mining ZEN for the last 2 months with my 6x1080ti asus strix (asrock btc h81, 2xEvga 1000w g3), and 10 days ago it started crashing all the time, even the whole machine started restarting. I checked cables and changed all risers and still the sam. Then I took one card I suspected might be the cause of problems and put it on my desktop machine so I could check it solo. It worked perfectly for 3 days and the rest of the rig with 5 cards worked perfectly so I thought it might be that one of the PSU is having problems with supplying 3 cards. I cleaned all the components with air compressor and put the 6th card back and now everything is working perfectly for the last 5 days...
So...we should regularly clean our 1080ti's :-)
Can u please tell me how much power u get on power meter with all 6 cards running and do you have any power limit applied? Did u noticed any temps rising or/and rpm rising on GPU vents before the crash. What temps are your cards giving after few hours of work. Thanks I set power limit to 90% and core clock +120, mem clock +450 and I get about 740sols per card with about 1700w from the wall with 6 cards running at about 55'c fan at 50% in the relatively cool and big room. You are probably doing about 900W from one PSU and 800W from other, isn't that little to much heavy lifting for 2x 1000W PSU if you look at long term 24/7 mining? Yes, about 900w and 800w, those are very good and durable Evga G3 PSU with 10 years warranty, and should easily manage that. For a while i used to mine at 106% Pw limit without any problem, but figured its not such a big gain... |

gpus getting cold for some minutes, then the process starts again until next reconnect.
is this a bad thing? never got share zero-drop with 6x.
I have this exact same issue, every 3hrs my rigs get disconnected and reconnect for 5min before they start mining again. Internet is not the problem btw and the rigs dont have anti-virus or firewalls up. the same issue, I get disconnected every 5 minutes with eu-ru01.miningrigrentals.com but without disconnections to zec-eu1.nanopool.org it is a pity, can't use with so many disconnections Can it be an issue with low capacity of RAM? I have only 2gb Ram on my PC. Lan network. I have the same problem on v0.5.8. Miner works for a day, and suddenly goes "zm.exe is not responding". At this point I must manually restart the Miner. This never happend to me on v0.5.7. I've noticed that when too many recons happen then my mining client crashes. right now ive been mining 18hrs with only one reconnection and the rigs are running flawlessly. It's obviously an issue with maintaining a connection to the mining pool. Hopefully that gets sorted out soon enough. I've had this issue on 0.5.7 and 0.5.8 so rolling back to the previous version makes no difference. Right now I'll work on integrating this free open source watchdog script ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2071108.0) that will reboot the mining client on crash and reboot my rigs on regular intervals just to manage the issue until the pool and client are working well together again. im getting teh "zm.exe is not responding" error too, wonder if its my 1080ti settings of 150+ core too high? I just switched to the dstm client and having zero issues with my 1080ti. Actually Its OCed more and clocked higher than I have ever been before! Before using a different miner (EWBF) I managed around 700 H/sec with just a +100 on the core. No benefit to clocking the memory or anything else higher. Now I can run +200 Core / +500 Mem and even run at 90% TDP and get 752 H/sec! If I run at 100% TDP I get around 770 H/sec at these settings. I have yet to test it further but I'm sure I could tweak it even more. So I'd say with this at v0.5.8 you can mine at higher speeds and better output. What card do you have? I get about the same hashrates, but my miner keeps crashing... :-( |

I use ccminer 1.8.3. This is the version from OneClickMiner. Gives me the best performance. ~68MH/s per 1080TI (Zotac AMP something) running with default settings. I use "private" p2pool. Public p2pool give me to many payouts. If you want to join, drop me a PM That's pretty bad, most of us were getting 72MH at 80% TDP and 78 at 100% TDP. Could you please tell me what are your clock setting and what miner you use? What pool? Thanks |
