1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoins, litecoins or Asic Miner? which one to choose with my 400 dollerS? on: April 15, 2013, 09:02:34 PM
I really need to know that too!!! I made a late entrance to the BTC world, thinking on mining and buying some BTC, but now I'm aware too of PPC, NMC, and LTC... Where I can mine efficiently with GPU or even CPU, while I get some ASIC? (supposing I will get one, someday... ).

May be BTC will get it's rising rate again, at least half of it... but with other coins on the panorama, it's more and more time consuming to take an effective strategy.

Nobody is replying because there is no answer to that question.
There are 3 companies that make ASIC's for Bitcoin mining

Avalon - SOLD OUT batches 1, 2 & 3 - This means that you can't buy one until they decide to make more
ASIC Miner - Mining with their equipment, not selling it - This also means that you can't buy one
BFL - Taking their sweet ass time - You can buy one, but have to wait in line for it with the 1,000's of other people that have pre-ordered

Those are your current choices.

EDIT - You can't build your own ASIC rig either

So, if I cannot build an ASIC miner on my own, there is anybody who knows if some of those three companies is looking for funding to get a bigger production? Undecided

BFL waiting line is 4 months or more? Huh

Greetings!

Beware that coinvisitor is a scam!
They don't pay. Clicked their ads, submitted withdrawal request, and almost a week passed without coins

u should remove it from the list or make a note that it's a scam site

Thanks for the report.  I had no problem the last time I did a withdrawal from them. I let it build up before I withdraw and with such small amounts it has been a while since I tried it.  I will check it as soon as I can.  Anyone else not getting paid?

I've had no problems with them in the past... maybe 2 or 3 transactions came through OK. I have some pending right now, so I'll check it out and report back when I can.

Same here so far.

Thanks for the reports guys.  I withdrew some as well so we will see within 24hrs. if there is anything amiss.

Some sites delay payments in order to save transaction fees. Some payments are made once a day, some others, once a week, read carefully the page on those sites  Wink

Greetins!!

With so many web sites giving bitcoins for free and the rising proce of BTC, how those sites earn so much bitcoins? via ads?

There is a preferred site based on BTC quantity and simplicity to get free bitcoins?

Greetings!!!
