1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin’s Final Obituary? on: March 24, 2017, 09:33:32 AM
Bitcoin has ”died“ over 100 times.
It died in 2013 after the collapse of its biggest online exchange Mt Gox. Back then, bitcoin obituaries were all over the Internet. Earlier this year, the price of bitcoin abruptly fell from $1,161 to $889 as People’s Bank of China (PBoC) was stepping up its efforts to regulate the market. And when Chinese bitcoin exchanges have disabled withdrawals of the cryptocurrency, people gathering at forums keep asking if bitcoin is doomed. But bitcoin just refuses to die this way and it has showed the world its resilience. And obviously, what doesn’t kill bitcoin makes it stronger.
But things are slightly different this time. Over the past several weeks, as everyone in the community wondering if BU would be activated, bitcoin is unavoidably said to die again. Will a hard fork sentence bitcoin to death?

He posted a clickbait and everyone jumped on board, lol.

I can't read chinese, sorry.
Again, i am terribly sorry. that's just the link of the original article. I've learned my lesson and put yesterday's article at the Press board. b4 i always put the article link at Bitcoin discussion and nobody ever said anything about it, so....As a newbie, i've got so much to learn.
3  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-03-22] Hashing Power Is Not the King in the World of Bitcoin on: March 22, 2017, 09:44:08 AM
As bitcoiners are worrying what might happen if bitcoin hard forks, Bitfinex is already trading post fork coins BCC and BCU, like the situation isn’t complicated enough.

“If no fork occurs by December 31, 2017, then BCU will expire worthless and BTC will be given in exchange for each BCC holder.”
it seems that BU supporters think hashing power is everything in the world of bitcoin, but that is not the case.
If mining pools hard fork together in the name of “defending the interest of bitcoin community”, what would be their next step? Increasing the 21 million maximum coin limit?

dude stop with the self promotion!
are you so desperate to get some traffic on 8btc.com
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;threads;u=960710;sa=showPosts
literary the whole post history is promoting 8btc.com what's up with that!
i am really sorry that this article make u angry. i never meant to make a scene or anything like that.  i apologize if u think it's nonsense, it's all about my personal opinions. Again, i am sorry! maybe we can find some way to make this article more reasonable.

i wasn't talking about "the article" but you posting "links to articles" over an over.
if you want to just post a link to an article there is board for it called Press (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=77.0) read the stickies and do an appropriate submission.
if you read an article that you liked and have something to tell us about it, then tell us what you think first, as in writing a short paragraph of what YOU think and what YOU found interesting about it and then in the end link the article.

right now you just copy some lines from the article and "advertise" it here. as i said for that there is the press board.
Thank you so much for telling me this. this will definitely help me grow from a newbie to legend.(hope so) i can tell you are a nice person, you didn't yell at me or break my arms.
So is this a rule to put articles at Press? Only Press?

In this article, it says "If there is one among those stars that could guides you through the dark unknown, that’s yourself!"
Actually it is a poetry from Stray Bird by Rabindranath Tagore. It just feels so right to put it here. We must stick to our own judgement, not those so-called experts.
