1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [PTOY] Patientory Healthcare on the Blockchain on: June 20, 2017, 06:17:33 AM
I just tried to transfer some PTOY from HitBTC to Bittrex but it hasn't showed up even after about 8 hours - any ideas ?
bittrex
Wallet offline - Performing routine maintenance

Thing is, I transferred it 8 hours ago, shouldn't it have shown up after an hour or so ? It wasn't in maintenance mode back then  Huh

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best GPU's to mine ZCASH with? on: May 23, 2017, 07:29:42 PM
I have a number of rigs.

6 x Sapphire RX480 = 1100W = 1800 hash
6 x 1070 = 1150W = 2700 hash

Just that the 1070 cost more but save a little bit of electricity in the long run

I have another rig 2 x 1070, 3 x 1080ti, 1 x 980ti = 1600W = 3600ish hash

No mods nothing. Everything stock with no overclocks

Is flypool having a problem paying out atm ? The last payment I had was almost 1 day ago. I have currently set my payment amount to be 0.1 ZEC - I am averaging about 0.65 ZEC so I normally get a few payouts a day. I am currently about 0.5 ZEC short - any ideas ?

6  Economy / Web Wallets / Bitpay payment didn't have been registered with retailer on: April 18, 2017, 08:57:31 PM
Hi guys,

I just bought something online and paid via bitpay.

The transaction was yesterday and as soon as I got the "tick" from the separate window on bitpay, I think I closed it before I actually got to the confirmation from the retailer themselves which may explain the error - it isn't even recorded in the transaction history.

However, when I check the blockchain ID, it went to the correct address.

Any ideas if it is even possible to get my "refund"? Would this "refund" be from the retailer or from bitpay?

I have already contacted the retailer so just waiting for an email from them.

Out of interest, how stable are your claymore miners?

I have ran mine for 16 days straight without restarting - would it be an idea to restart my rig or just let it be?

Rig consists of 6 x RX480

What speed are you guys getting with a R390x on the current version claymore miner ? And how much power does it consume?

Just as I was about to switch to another pool, Suprnova gets lucky. 0.9 coins the last 24 hours - probably partly helped by declining ZEC prices!

Which bios are you using ?

Is it me or has Suprnova has really shitty luck atm? I checked earlier and I got 0.46 coins the last 24 hours hashing 6.1k!

Dwarfpool only hit like 4 blocks in the past 24 hours.

It looks to me like a lot of hash has moved to another pool causing some of the smaller pools to hit less often. I don't have all the stats at my fingers but I bet the hash has moved to another pool. I can see Dwarf's hash has been reduced by about half.

I might move to flypool soon if I don't get lucky lol

Just wondering what the performance difference between a 4GB and an 8GB is on the Radeon RX480?

I have a number of sapphire RX480 8GB and they hash around 300

I bought 1 Asus Dual X to try out also 8GB but it is crap@ 280 hash

Looking to try a 4GB RX480 from Gigabyte - any ideas ?

Anyone has any suggestions ?

it would be easier to help you if you say where are you from.
Each country has its exchanges, and even tho you can find a international one, a local one will probably be cheaper.

Thanks for the reply - I am based in the UK so withdrawing directly into British £ would be the best as withdrawals in $ increases my surcharge.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Cheapest way to converting coins to fiat in £ on: March 25, 2017, 10:31:52 PM
Hi guys, just wondering, what is the easiest/ the cheapest exchange to convert my existing coins into actual cash? I am currently trading at bittrex but they do not have any bank withdrawal service. I had a look at the other sites and they are about 2% or so with a minimum of $20 or so fee. My option would be to convert my ZEC into BTC then sell it - I was thinking of using localbitcoins but not sure if that would be safe as I know paypal can reverse payments so looking ideally to go onto an exchange which has a withdrawal fiat facility.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: UK Miners - Which supplier do you guys use? on: March 23, 2017, 08:41:09 PM
Extraenergy ~8.7p per kw

Which tariff are you with? The cheapest I found on their website is about 14p/kwH

I am only getting 500 h/s on my Palit 1080 Super Jetstream - is that normal ?

I am currently with isupplyenergy.co.uk and it works out to be 12.249p /KWH

Who are you guys and how much are you guys paying ?

Does anyone know why Sapphire is the goto brand for mining? Have a number of Sapphire RX480 (£240) but out of a batch of 12, 2 of them are not that good, constantly crashing. I am thinking of getting the ASUS AMD Radeon RX 480 STRIX 8GB version which is £220. What are the performance compared to Sapphire? I am getting roughly 300h/s on mine.

How about 8GB Asus Radeon RX 480 DUAL OC which is £190

yes sapphire is the best for mining  doesn't matter what gpu model, 270's 380's 470's  all my sapphire are faster than any others, mostly because they have higher ram frequency  and they always the cheapest in my area

and my asus (have 380 only) are the worst

Thanks for the reply - thoughts on RAM? 4GB only slightly worse off than 8GB right? I am tempted to try out the 470 as they seem to represent very good value. Just thinking if the extra ££ is worth the very small increase in % hash
