1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have either BTC and BCC? on: August 01, 2017, 04:03:57 PM
After reading the comments from start till end, I am lost  Grin.  In fact, many of us are in the same situation. I think it will take some time to get clear answers for the doubts that the participants showed in their comments about how BCC will work and why some people got free BCC in their wallets prior to forking.
2  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum for 1st august on: July 30, 2017, 03:27:47 PM
Yes! you will be able to do so. However, there are few considerations. It would be better if you can take a look at the content here https://electrum.org/bcc.txt
Should not take more than 10 minutes.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash! Dead on Arrival? on: July 30, 2017, 03:10:27 PM
I don't agree with OP. It is a new coin, and even then many dozens of exchanges and wallets have decided to support it. Adoption doesn't happen overnight. It takes time. And here we have a coin, which has gained the support from so many major players, even before it came in to existence.

I agree with it.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ok where is Satoshi on: July 29, 2017, 05:54:56 AM
I agree with 'squatz1'. The coming hard Fork is a very serious matter and if there is no word from him, it means there is no more Nakamoto or has accepted what is going to happen in future with BTC or may be he has firm belief that nothing will happen to BTC and all the hard forks would not work and people would eventually stick on to BTC only. Who knows !!!
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Im Stocking up on Bitcoin Cash Domains on: July 29, 2017, 05:37:18 AM

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Im Stocking up on Bitcoin Cash Domains on: July 29, 2017, 05:30:10 AM
Is it confirmed it is not BCH? It looks like BCC since majority of BCC domains are already booked. But one can find good bch domains.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am against Bitcoin Cash and here is why on: July 28, 2017, 06:12:39 AM
Why don`t Bitcoin Cash suporters create a brand new altcoin.(Somehting from scratch, like the OP said.)
They are using the name of Bitcoin to manipulate the newbies, who are not familiar with soft/hard forks.
Using the name "Bitcoin" gains some aditional level of trust, which they don`t deserve.
Bitcoin Cash should be renamed to something different-Baitcoin,Betcoin or Batcoin...i don`t know. Grin
Baitcoin is perfect  Smiley Should not be a bait though.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am against Bitcoin Cash and here is why on: July 28, 2017, 06:08:55 AM
This BBC has created a divide among the people who supported the cryptocurrency for a very long time. I hope average traders will not suffer much with the change.
9  Other / Meta / Re: Countries that banned bitcointalk.org on: July 26, 2017, 05:17:21 PM
This is the very informative forum for the traders. You get instant answers to your queries. If any country is banning this forum, it is not fair.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash (BCC) is an Alt-coin trying to profit off the Bitcoin Brand on: July 25, 2017, 07:10:57 PM
Ok, thank you for the expert opinions and the insight.  Smiley

How many chances of Forking? Any rough idea if we want to know the %? Thanks.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin split on August! on: July 24, 2017, 02:27:04 PM
probably you are talking about "SegWit2x"  Smiley . Let's wait and see if two versions can come out.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Live test; BTC Transaction versus USD Wire Transfer on: July 17, 2017, 05:24:00 PM
This is one of the BTC features that everybody likes i-e prompt payment and acceptance. Sooner or later it can become one of the "must have" payment options on all retail services. It is already getting worldwide acceptance.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Securing your wallet on: June 30, 2017, 05:57:19 PM
I like the suggestion of 'mindrust', especially using Linux for the purpose.  Other OS are always suspecious, especially when you are using pirated copy Smiley .  A simple test is to type netstat in cmd and see how many IP addresses are communicating with your PC without your will. These activities are suspecious and who knows one of the listener is a scanner looking for sensitive informtion about the Bitcoin wallets on your PC.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: June 28, 2017, 03:34:07 PM
It can bring ease to the life of those who know how to handle it. Poverty is not directly proportional to any currency (real or virtual). It is linked with other economic factors including policies, infrastructure, technology, and above all the education.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how and where can i get these fancy bitcoin wallet addresses ? on: June 27, 2017, 07:57:50 PM
Vanity addresses can be risky in a sense that the generator can trick you to share your private key. Just to feel how it can harm you, you can go through this example thread.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin market crash on: June 23, 2017, 04:28:28 PM
No need to panic at all  Smiley  If we don't panic while making money, we should not panic in volatile conditions. Its part of the game and we should embrace it.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do I buy ICO tokens? on: June 16, 2017, 05:55:39 PM
You can look into icoo.io, Taas, Tokenmarket, and SmithandCrown. Icoo also provides DAO distribution information.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was it due to Ransomware? on: May 30, 2017, 05:55:40 PM
If you are talking about WannaCry ransomware, then it I don't think the ransomware is the reason of increase and drop. As other people have mentioned, the ransomware did not succeed much to collect Bitcoin payments. The kill switch in ransomware stopped the attack to stop the destruction. Otherwise, it could have gone more severe and then Bitcoin prices could have come into play.
