1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [BIGSB] BigShortBets - can they short LUNA? Too late to get in? on: January 31, 2022, 10:44:50 PM
Hello,

has anyone made any research on BIGSB - BigShortBets coin? There is a big FUD on LUNA regarding their potential Ponzi scheme and weak algo structure that is exposed by BigShortBets on their Twitter. There is also a personal war between LUNA CEO and BIGSB CEO - https://twitter.com/rafal_zaorski/status/1487038990263930880

I see LUNA shared dropped sharply in the last few days because of their action and I can see BIGSB (https://coinmarketcap.com/pl/currencies/bigshortbets/) raising in price rapidly, is it too late to get in? Project looks like it has good potential and it's still pretty cheap - just 10-12 MLN USD CAP vs 40 BLN USD LUNA cap.

80% of people here are PERMABULLS and do just 1 thing, they post "HODL", "sorry for your loss, get cheap coins" or "up, up, bulls!". What is the purpose of such posts?

Permabulls proved to be right. On the contrary, people saying that bitcoin is broken and should be sold out proved to wrong. Simple, isn't it?
No permabulls werent right. They say HODL all the time. That makes them lose much money, because if they start looking at charts and analyze them they will see good moments for selling and buying coins for cheaper. Going permabull with 100% HODL ratio is just stupid imo. And people recommending that to others are also stupid for me - they have nothing worthy to say about chart, that's why they post "HODL" - only way to add their 2 cents to the speculation.

just to support my idea:

I have a feeling that we are in a bull trap phase  Sad

Does your "feeling" come from the fact that you sold your bitcoins in the lower $1200s?

Sorry for your loss.

You may be able to buy some "cheap coins" now, before you get left behind any further.

In other words, we are continuing to experience a lot of buying support and a lot of continued upwards price pressures.

The source of such upwards BTC price pressures remains unclear, but it seems a bit widespread and maybe even "organic"... hahahahahaha..

GREAT!!!!!

Bitcoin is in a great place with a 20 day streak of ATH daily weighted average prices - and we have to break below $1,132 before the streak of ATHs stop... .. Quite amazing place to be for bitcoin!!!!
And Why do you say so? Im looking at the chart and I can see that we are fconstantly fighting with resistance in uptrend. There is pretty big possibility that we will break it and btc drops

80% of people here are PERMABULLS and do just 1 thing, they post "HODL", "sorry for your loss, get cheap coins" or "up, up, bulls!". What is the purpose of such posts? When you have nothing to support your theory why you even write?

Can someone tell me whats wrong about hardfork?

From what i understand hardfork will less to splitting bitcoin to two versions: old wih 1 MB blocks and new BU or SegWit. Whats the problem with that?

And one more question - if i have 10 BTC, Whats gonna happen when there will be hardfork announced? How coins will be splitted into new and old version?

Trapped all you guys waiting to buy the dip good!!
Ingenious!!

I guess 1300$ will be the new bottom.  Smiley

it will be most likely

I think a lot of folks were waiting for ETF news to buy,  now they need to buy without ETF
I bought some on the dip,  but have more dry powder to buy more if it dips again

We are in the dip! And we are not coming back here! Smiley

And this is my conservative prediction. (Not my bullish pixie dust madness unicorns delusions!) Smiley

*Edit:  Because in Jun / July the banking crashes will be common knowledge and there will be less and less people dumping or keeping their coins on the exchanges! Smiley
How the fuck you draw this white line? Tongue I mean, what was your idea when you was drawing it? You wanted to cross the chart as many times as possible or what

The next thing to move the price will be when China starts allowing Bitcoin withdrawals.

Not that the price needs much help in moving.

The next thing to move the price will be when the FED raises the rate next Wednesday, and the Yuan crashes because of it. Nothing starts the Chinese buying Bitcoins like the Yuan crashing.
That's actually strong point. If we don't see correction until wednesday, i will start thinking about going long.

Do i remember correctly that FED give info about rates in the morning Wall Street Time? Like 9AM there?

No reason for bitcoin to rise? LOL
Do people really hang out on these forums and still not get it?

Go read the bitcoin whitepaper, think about future implications of this technological advancement. Look up the increasing bitcoin demand that is happening on a global scale already.

Yep, definitely no reason for a price increase...

Exactly. Those who don't bother to really learn, research or understand things very deeply, if at all = low information sheeple, err I meant people. Low information people  Wink
Man I was talking about short term, I repeat SHORT.

Don't panic! If you can't buy now you'll have chance to buy at 1300 on Monday.
All of you (or most of you) are really trusting that we will see blind green candle. Okay, I don't think so. When everyone is saying that BTC will rise (I'm talking about short term) everyone is buying, but that's just blind move imo. Big Bears want to pump price to get better profits on their shorts. Sooner or later we will see drop.

Dh okay, now I got it. If you want to sell you have to buy, right?
You start buying, speed up carousel, then you start backing off. Others see the hype, buy more, more and more. Then you go in with shorts and drop the price, another panick starts, people sell and price go lower and lower, you realise your short and you're the king =)

Ok, Maybe I wasn't too precise - IMHO It's going to rise in long-term. But in a short term I think there will be correction - pre-ETF hype took price to 1290$ level, ETF happened causing drop and now what? Why are we going up so fast? Price should oscillate around 1000$ imo.

See my reply to killerpotleaf a couple posts up.
Which post number?

Breakout to the upside in progress? Happening?
Pre-dump breakout  Grin

Wishful thinking mckk.    I am sorry about the loss of your short.

The fact of the matter is that maybe you can sell a little bit of BTC to take out some risk, but do not sell large portions or short, because the upside potential is much greater than the downside, and if you bet on downwards, then you run a considerable risk of either getting left behind or having to buy back at a higher price
Actually I've earned a bit on my shirt when ETF was announced (because my market order was executed too late). Anyway I'm a bit negative because I see no real reason for bitcoin to rise so fast tbh.

About your tip to not sell all btc at such important events as ETF, that's smart but when I play with leverage I cannot risk getting my position liquidated.

Well, TA is never 100% right - that's why people lose imho, when few times price goes in oppsite direction to their assumptions they start to play with feelings or they just stop believing their TA predictions.

However if they stick to TA in 100% of their decisions they will have strong chance of earning some cash, because sooner or later they will learn how to use TA with win ratio abouve 50% - which starts generating profit. But you need to be a real tryhard and learn to lose to learn this.

Despite im complete noob, i can easily see some good signals in last month, eg. find some falling stars:

If we take a look for a while at TA:

If you want to be successful investor forget about TA!
TA is a fishnet to catch small fish.
Well, what's your recommendation for me then?  Huh Play with your emotions, "sense" or so called "feelings"? That's stupid. I always thought TA is the 1st thing which has to be done before investing any serious money into any kind of investment such as stocks, forex, bitcoin etc.

Stupid are people that don't understand TA is just a graphical representation of their emotions. They see the picture what they want to see.
I strongly disagree at this point. Maybe im new but all pro forex traders uses TA for their trades. You will also call them stupid people?

Let's have a look at TA for a while:
http://s1.screenshot.sh/data/2017/3/11/11/c9a472040708fe90fa8de9aae3eccc75.jpg - im new so i cannot post photos :/

Even if we will look at recent trend line there is still plenty of room for dump, not even mentioning the old trend line catched at 162$ bottom.

So IMHO we can go up a bit (oh, already went), consolidate and get some correction - it will be correction sooner or later, but not sure if it will happen when we will be swingng around 1150-1200$, or do we have to wait for range around 1200-1300$.

Any thoughts?

Can't wait for this slaughterhouse hehe

It has to be after 4 pm - they don't want to affect stock market

Vinny seems to be pessimist about the ETF decision and he even believes it would be better for bitcoin to not have it yet. he also says there's 100% chance of a huge sell off if dissaproved.
May I know who's Vinny?

Has SEC ever gave any information during weekend? I mean is it possible that they will post update tomorrow?

Anyone's life savings depending on this decision?

 Grin Grin

My life savings is in bitcoins but that is nothing new. An approval pushing the price up over $3k would mean I would retire sooner rather than later. A rejection means a few more years of buying many more bitcoins.

Not retire in the sense of no longer working...just working on something I want instead of living in a war zone working in a box.

Sheet

we are alike. but i exit when it's wild, and jump in when there's movement. margin trading is gambling
3.3x is not a big leverage mate Imho, taking under consideration that u play on BITFINEX as it has the best liquidity and you can execute bigger orders easily
