The best portfolio depends on you. There are some basic differences, but you will choose the one that fits best.

Centralized Wallets - You trust your coins to someone or company.

Decentralized Portfolios - You are responsible for everything. You are your own bank.

I use Electrum for Android. Decentralized. You only need to save 12 words. It may be on paper. Wink
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin VS. GOLD on: May 05, 2018, 03:17:44 PM
I believe in Bitcoin Core, because the developers of Bitcoin Gold made pre-mining of 100 thousand coins, a very suspicious attitude! Literally GOLD!

The difference of mining does not correct the problem that they had proposed, that is, we have 2 equal bitcoins. Tongue

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Online Wallet or Local Wallet? on: September 11, 2017, 02:54:42 PM
Hello! Which wallets do you prefer for altcoins, online or local? And why?

Thank you!

It depends on the person, security is very relative. I use online for decred and for bitcoin use to offline.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should We Be Panic Of ICO Ban? on: September 11, 2017, 04:59:22 AM
The price of altcoin and bitcoin drop. Should we be panic? What do you think of the situation. Will ICOs stop because of the ban by China, Russia and Korea? Will others follow those countries? What is the future of ICO?

Of course not, the ban of the ICO are to do away with the false ones and not with the real ones.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you manage to keep your crypto coins? on: September 11, 2017, 04:21:02 AM
How do you manage to keep your crypto coins?

I make sure I have not just one hard drive but more than one to make sure that I have back ups in case my crypto wallet is gone for whatever reason.

I think the new meoda is Decred, written from scratch, it's not a bitcoin fork hahaha
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Dogecoin? on: September 11, 2017, 03:50:04 AM

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SingularDTV to airdrop OMG to its token holders on: September 11, 2017, 03:38:22 AM
singularDTV will be airdropping its allocation of the omisego airdrop to its token holders.this actually means it participated in the omisego ICO a couple of months back.this is why projects  are raising million of dollars from ICO within the blink of an eye  because existing projects are using money actually earmarked for development or PR to buy into ICOs probably to capitalize on increase in price when it hit exchanges.but my question is 'is this ethical'?https://medium.com/singulardtv/omg-to-sngls-airdropping-airdropped-tokens-7ca9f72d0f8

The singular is great, has a dedicated team of professionals, anyway, but profit is what matters.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy alts now or wait for Bitcoin hard fork in November?! on: September 11, 2017, 03:19:24 AM
Looking for some opinions of people who have been around the block.

How will the hard fork affect the price of Bitcoin and alts?

And would you rather buy now or wait until November? Or perhaps simply DCA?

It depends on the criptomoeda, if you have a dollar quote, it might be better than the bitcoin, but I can not say.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin the price $250,000 in the next 10 years on: September 07, 2017, 05:57:55 PM
what do you think about this prediction of co-founder of breadwallet aaro lasher the bitcoin's hit the price around $250,000usd in the next 10 years, how about you mates what is your opinion about this expection.

that's possible. but there must be some issues that bitcoin should resolve like the problem of a particular country that has not received bitcoin and even prohibits bitcoin activity. bitcoin is also developing currents to make sure no other coins can compete in the future.

There is no way to stop the implementation, it is the ideal of all.

As long as there is a great adoption of the community, the value will grow exponentially until the moon.

$ 250k in 2020.
12  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Publickey question? on: September 07, 2017, 01:47:16 AM
Thx, so now i know why satoshi said it's more secure to use the address only one time , i think this means once we make a transaction output from an address we should move the rest of the btc to a new one because this address had shown it's publickey and lost part of it's security.

I do not think it affects security, the idea of moving to a new address comes in as "spare security". Roll Eyes

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use Social Media for Bitcoin on: September 07, 2017, 01:19:09 AM
So recently I was using this app called Instagram (in case some of you never heard of it) and I posted some pictures & videos related to Bitcoin on my Instagram Stories (Like that day when the price goes insanely high and keep going til now). Then 2 days ago some of my friends suddenly asked me about what Bitcoin is & how could the price goes up like that. And I was surprisingly glad to know that I've influenced some people to get to know Bitcoin. And then I introduced them to Bitcoin and answer their questions about it, there were 3 people asking about Bitcoin that day just because of this 1 post.

I mean why don't we just use this power of social media to make people aware about this Cryptocurrency, well I know that there are already some people doing this (like those YouTube channels).
But what I'm talking about here is to us to post something about Bitcoin on our social media, you can just at least post something like your first transaction with Bitcoin and share your story on your Facebook or take the picture of your book that you just bought from the internet using your Bitcoin and then post it on your Twitter.

Don't be afraid to share your experience, you won't get hurt by doing it!(at least not now)

I use to receive payments, send payments, and accept donations hahaha.

I disclose on social networks about bitcoin and that the payment has a discount, I really believe in blockchain
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: September 06, 2017, 11:19:40 PM
Hey Bitcoiners? I'm desperate to start earning BTC
I'll do any kind of online activity as long as there's a Bitcoin payment. Where do I start?

There is no free lunch.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when we hit 21,000,000 bitcoins? on: September 06, 2017, 09:58:14 PM
This morning I was talking about this with a buddy of mine.

Right now we have miners all over the world trying to solve this exponentially hard algorithm to earn their bitcoins. That is their incentive and that is what drives them to do so.

What happens when we remove that incentive to "mine" aka "verify transactions" on the blockchain? What I'm basically asking is what happens when we hit 21,000,000 bitcoins from the perspective of the miners?

Volatility will end and Bitcoin will begin to be used for its purpose.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The DEATH of Bitcoin Surfaces Again on: September 05, 2017, 04:32:20 PM

Is this the beginning of the death of Bitcoin? Well, the topic is now resurrecting again now that Bitcoin just experienced one of the biggest bloodbaths ever in its trading history. And this the trend right now for the whole cryptocurrency market...we are seeing waves of red all over.

No wonder the FUD community is now having a fiesta...they think that this can be the start of the end of the world...I mean the end of Bitcoin and that it can crashed soon towards the $100 price.

Are they kidding me?

Hahahahaha I do not think so.

The revolution is already being made and the state authorities do not know and do not have enough intelligence to understand the blockchain. We won before we started.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does China have a large part in the world of cryptocurrency? on: September 05, 2017, 04:26:10 PM
A few days ago China just announced that their government banned all ICO activities, and instantly the bitcoin price went down. how do you think about this?

I think they should have done it a long time ago, most of the ICOs are frauds or scammer schemes.

This does not affect Bitcoin, it just fixes.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin less evil than PayPal? on: September 05, 2017, 03:05:28 PM
If we consider Paypal evil (I do), should we consider Bitcoin less evil?

Paypal allows chargeback fraud and is a feast for scammers
Then again
Bitcoin doesnt allow chargebacks and is a feast for scammers because of that

I think Bitcoin, however, cant be regarded as evil cuz its decentralized or semi-decentralized(china)

what do u think fellow people of Bitcointalk?

~CfA~

Money is evil. No matter the means of exchange, there will always be criminals or coup people.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price and financial crisis/downturn on: September 05, 2017, 02:49:56 PM
Hi,

Up to now, Bitcoin hasn't gone through financial crisis. Maybe one financial crisis is near (look at financial market overvaluation)

in case of financial crisis, bitcoin price could
-collapse as big money people will withdraw from any investment,
-surge as BTC could be seen as an escape to current financial system
-remain stable

Do you think that in case of a major financial crisis like in 2008, bitcoin price will collapse, surge or remain stable?

thanks

Bitcoin serves just to guarantee your value reserve in the event of a financial crisis in the country.
20  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: September 05, 2017, 02:16:57 AM
Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin

I did it and I do not regret it! We are in the gold rush, it is the golden age, we are the old school of the future.
