Hi, I'm just wondering if there are new coins worth bserving before they will go on exchange. The announcment section of this forum is so unclear that I'm afariad I could missed some really precious gems

As far as I know Poloniex doesn't have any wallet you can just keep altcoins on exchange which is risky in case if something happens to Poloniex (check MT.GOX , so if you buy a lot of coins I suggest to keep most of them on dedicated wallets (for super protection use cold wallets) (most of the coins) and leave some on poloniex for exchange.

Because of the volatility of the the cryptocurrencies I would advise to carefully check the coin before investing in long term. Questions to ask: 1.) Team behind the coin 2.) New technology introduced 3.) Progress in terms of introducing the new technology (significant new clients for example) 4.) Road map Then you can see if it's worth to invest. To sum up get any possible information before investing
