1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: April 28, 2013, 09:35:01 AM
Hi guys,

Was wondering if anyone can direct me to a readme as to how to set up cudaminer with multiple pools for failover.

I've read the thread and the readme, but not sure if this feature has been added yet.

Tyvm!
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Isis ATP [Automated Trading Platform] - Discussion on: April 27, 2013, 08:08:01 PM
Hey guys,

I've been playing around with AidoATP in simulation mode, testing the arbitrage part of the program primarily.

I keep getting "Arbitrage could not trade with balance of RUR 0 on BTC-e" when it shows a fee profit opportunity detected on the RUR/EUR currency pair.

I've read through the readme and googled for some guidance, but I can't find any answers to help out with the following:

* 1) If live, would Aido buy/sell RUR first and fix the above? (it's running in simulation so I understand if it can't change the wallet data)
* 2) With my home currency set at USD, and BTC-e not offering direct RUR/EUR trades, would the system do point 1 if it weren't simulation?
* 3) Do I need to hold multiple currencies (including BTC) in order for arbitrage to work?

If there is a respository of information or discussions about this program elsewhere, I would appreciate being directed there if my questions have been answered before.

Also, as an aside, can Aido work with LTC instead of BTC?

Thanks,

Red.

Looking forward to your pool being restored - have had only good times mining this pool Smiley

EDIT: These can all be toned down and changed - it's really just the design that matters at this stage.

Been working on a pseudo 3D looking version Smiley (I know, there are those who don't like the shiny coin look - that can be changed easy peasy if required)

And then without the dramatic 3D tilt:

And a final one to show the difference in lighting / colour (it can be whatever the judges want really):

Ignore colour and flare and all the pretty bits that come later when refining the image - these are just design concepts for consideration as a basis for the final design:

Definitely needs to be refined, but this is the concept design I'd suggest. I can work on it later if it's not rejected entirely ^^

You are correctly solo mining. The difficulty is high enough that it may take a long time to solve a block. I would suggest joining the pool linked in below to mine.

Ignore the mining tab in the GUI and use cgminer.

Quick question on the pool - on the manual cash out option, it says it charges a 0.1 ltc fee. I'm guess typo? Cheesy

Awesome - thanks for the responses guys.

Hey guys,

I'm trying to solo mine FC.

I've setup my feathercoin.conf file per guides, lauched feathercoin-qt as a server.

I run my cgminer with http://127.0.0.1:8100 with correct -u and -p, hashing at a reasonable rate.

Cgminer shows:

Probing for alive pool
No suitable long-poll found for http://127.0.0.1:8100
New block detected on network (and on and on)

My questions are:

*  Am I now solo mining?
* Do I need to see the "pool 0 alive http://127.0.0.1:8100" in cgminer or doesn't that matter when solo mining?
* Do I need to click on the "start mining" button in the feathercoin-qt mining window? Or can I ignore that completely and just launch cgminer?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: My feathercoin.conf file contains:

server=1
daemon=1
rpcuser=miner
rpcpassword=12345
rpcport=8100

Thanks for the guidelines - good to be aware of these when starting out.

I've always used cgminer and haven't been disappointed. I tried the GUIminers, but for some reason my hashrates (and connection reliability) were worse than when using cgminer.

I've had on/off connection, but it was probably on my side and not BTCGuild. Seems to be fine the last few days.

Bitcoin needs a distributed exchange system, or many more exchanges regulated somehow by the community (almost impossible I'm sure).

I keep hearing that the BFL asic machines haven't shipped in 9 month yet - sounds scammy! However, they are still advertising on this board. Eventually we'll get an answer!
